oh well done No1 - thinking of you lots darling

TwilightSurfer · 15/04/2010 01:18

miamla that's terrible of your dh's work. they should respect his time.

now who needed a date confirmation? don't make fun. you know you all love me for my date stalking.

spring glad you are safely home and had a nice trip. my oldest had travel problems much the same as yours. i tend to overload her with water in the days leading up to a trip now. works a charm.

dizzy when's your scan?

ladies allergies have him me like a brick. my head hurts and my nose drips and my eyes look like red marbles. spring is here.

buckets i could not tell you the last time dh and i went out. we've discussed trying again. i plan to ask at reese's school to see if anyone's available soon to babysit.

just thought i'd share that i'm not going back to the shrink. i went to gain more relaxation techniques so i could have an enjoyable trip to the beach. i tend to be slightly uptight. she tried to take things to a whole other realm, digging for times in my past where i'd been victimized. wtf! i've never be victimized. grrrrr! just boost my confidence and remind me how to destress since traveling STRESSES ME!!! Oh and she really pissed me off by saying Reese was okay to be in our session THIS TIME but should be left elsewhere in the future. My DOLLAR My THERAPY! I don't know about her but I'm gonna need to be able to destress with the kiddos around me doing WHATEVER they DO so having Reese in the session TO ME is a GOOD THING. What a waste of time!!!!!!!!

No1 YOU ROCK!

switchblade · 15/04/2010 07:04

wotcha.

Just trying out a new name, not sure if it isn't a little threatening.

No idea whats going on except folks got married, folks got more pregnant, more folks got pregnant.
Same old same old eh ;-)

switchblade · 15/04/2010 07:08

Toast or porridge peoples?

dizzydixies · 15/04/2010 07:14

Switchblade, I have to say yes, it's not the most welcoming of names!

Anything welcome for brekker s I couldn't be arsed going to shops so not even got bread/milk D up already, waking DD2 who has been sent back to bed, am not hopeful but wonder of wonders, DH up too Now if only I'd nipped to shop I could've had lie in

switchblade · 15/04/2010 07:16

Yes I spose it is a bit Victorian arch villian, not quite the look I was going for, give me a moment...

steaknife · 15/04/2010 07:19

Better? I think so.

Ooh just noticed the little bold 2 in 1 man, where can I get me one of those and what does his 2 in 1 entail?

Oh dear sorry rather smutty for 7.15

oopsandbabycoconut · 15/04/2010 08:25

Morning

Chocolate readybrek, toast, cheerios and tea here if you want it.

DD slept like a log apart from a bit of a cough at 3am, came in to us at 6.45 and has only just woken up. Keeping her out late is fun but not condusive to a peaceful meal.

Hey Steaky - good to see you

'Lo Dizz - you are exactly 23 weeks behind me which is why I was stalking you

wawwa · 15/04/2010 08:33

Morning

wawwa · 15/04/2010 08:34

nope, sounds like crying, which is not what it stands for

oopsandbabycoconut · 15/04/2010 08:38

Wawwa - come baaaack - I need to figure out who you are ..................

ataraxis · 15/04/2010 08:41

I'm back oops, with no inspiration for anything inspirational

and slighly stunned that all three children are still asleep

dizzydixies · 15/04/2010 08:53

all 3 ASLEEP

how pleased am I that I didn't book flights I couldn't afford to go to the christening in Spain today - I would've flown out today and back on Sunday so in essence the girls and I wouldn't have gone anywhere

ataraxis · 15/04/2010 08:56

I know dizzy still!! I am thinking that the decision to do not much this week was probably a good one...

Glad that your decision making has worked out well for you, nothing worse than plans being ruined because of an icelandic volcano

I am now sure little ds1 is your sticky bean. The lack of symptoms is a sure sign

ataraxis · 15/04/2010 08:57

I really have to go and have a shower now, which means ds1 is about to wake up as he is closest to the bathroom. I guess at 9am that's acceptable

ts meant to say, your shrink lady sounds like she is doing you no good at all. Could you try a meditation or yoga class? I know you do pilates, but not sure whether that has the same breathing/relaxation that those do?

Hi sazz enjoy the gym and dressing up in posh clothes.

GladioliBuckets · 15/04/2010 09:47

Steaky I think the look you're going for is Swordstick not Switchblade. V steampunk, I must get one. How's business?

Miamla You should have said sorry he can't come to the phone because he's on his honeymoon and then started faking an orgasm down the phone at her. What an idiot woman, she clearly has no life.

TS Try folks on your street first, then nobody has to drive the sitter home.

Did I tell you all DD has a urine infection? We got the vilest medicine yesterday, like neat Pernod basically so treatment is not easy.

Have been v organised already and made a picnic, just got to think of somewhere easy and enclosed to have it so I don't spend the whole time chasing Kurt.

Miamla · 15/04/2010 10:09

buckets now that would have been a great idea! DH and i suspect she is insanely jealous of his life.. she's very career driven but has now decided in her mid 40s that she wants to be a mum and they're having probs conceiving. She was actually quite sweet to both of us before she found out about Pea (DH didn't work then when DS was born). She got married about 5mths ago, their boss gave her a big celebratory party in his penthouse when she got back from honeymoon. DH has had a card from the receptionist

buckets, your poor D. can you mix the medicine with anything to help it go down? a spoon full of sugar is reported to help

ataraxis i'm v of your late sleeping children!

hi sazz, hope you find something stunning!

so oops if dizz is 9 behind me and you're 23 ahead of her that means you're...hmmm... too early for maths like that! its like the old problem if train A leaves station X at 10:09 and train B leaves station Y at 11:20, what time will they meet? oooh, i've got it 14 weeks? maybe!

hi dizz, steak TS et al

ataraxis · 15/04/2010 10:21

buckets poor dd , hope it clears up quickly.

miamla LOL at the train calcs.
Hope your DH gets a new job soon where they are not such ignorant bastards a bit kinder to people .

Slightly concerned that dd insisted on a particular clothes this morning, then, when dressed, went to twirl and admire herself in front of the mirror. So much for all the comments around her inevitably being a tomboy

TwilightSurfer · 15/04/2010 11:15

Miamla you just caused me to have a flashback!

Ataraxis when I mentioned to "the lady" that I felt like I was breathing better than ever via pilates breathing versus yoga or therapeutic "belly" breathing she about came unglued. Guess that was my first sign. LOL!

Sazzles yes, you could have just been "surprised" by his rerouting at a later time.

Running late as usual. Promise to be back later.

Side note: I always bad mouth AF. Well today she arrived on time and without issue. She's not such a bad lady afterall.

OP posts:
Miamla · 15/04/2010 11:31

TS flashback? pourquoi?

ataraxis you and me both!
believe it or not, i used to be really good at the train calcs but that was when i was a child, before i had my own child

DS has just started to show an interest in what he's wearing too. refused to wear a particular pair of socks the other day, would only let me put on odd socks. he's definitely my son And actually, he refused to wear a particular top the other morning. he's getting far too independent for my liking!

right ladies, you've got 4 days to place your bets on whether Pea is DD or DS2 (assuming we get to find out at the scan!)

i can't fulfill my appetite today... four slices of jam and toast and a big bowl of shreddies for breakfast just hasn't hit the spot yet

its a gorgeous day here, DS has requested a trip to see 'quack quacks' but we have to wait in for a parcel DH is expecting

cyteen · 15/04/2010 12:24

Sazz glad to hear no1 has been in touch. MUCH LOVE TO YOU No1

Miamla not sure which flavour you're building, but I'm more convinced than ever that dizzy has a little Hugo on the way

steaky hi! Good to have you back. Have you seen any more of your FWB? And how is the delightful smallknife?

Hello to everyone else, I'm still here, not much to say for myself at the mo.

Ooh yes Buckets huge sympathies to your poorly DD. I had a urine infection a few years ago and the pain was shocking. Hope she's on the mend v v soon.
