oops . good luck lovely

TwilightSurfer · 24/04/2010 18:41

Captain you do realize the strain the wait game puts on all the rest of us.

On the beds front: I am gladly keeping head in the sand. Reese is happy with her pack-n-play sleep arrangement. If she's happy then I am happy. Makes traveling easier too.

Wild weather here today. Suppose they'll be tornados before the evenings over. Joy

Lucky I've been sending you strength vibes.

Dizzy (((((hugs)))))

Ha ha ataraxis, that's not what you said in my dream last night You were well happy! That's how I knew I was still asleep

CC parade sounds fab, minus the high-waisted trousers of course. I shall be on tenterhooks waiting for your result but being happy either way means it's already a win-win situation

DS is enjoying a rare treat, Saturday night tea in front of the telly. We went for a late sojourn to Abbey Park for ice creams and duck-feeding, where he proceeded to barge in on other people's picnics, sing ROWROWROW when we saw the boating lake and generally be 110% cute It has been positively August weather-wise here today...lots of unwise flesh on show (not mine!)

cyteen · 24/04/2010 18:44

Ooh good luck oops

alittlebitshy · 24/04/2010 19:18

cyteen loving J's rowrowrow. that is what H does but in a v v essex accent . he grabs my/dd/dh's hands while breaking inot rowrow. the other night in disneyland we were all chucking as we heard him in his cot going "rowrow ittel star" ie both his fave songs in one!!!

dh has gone to get our pizza (we have a voucher to use on collection only).

ds in bed completely knackered after 5 days of late night, shortish buggy naps and total on the go ness! bit worried that dd's sleepver will tip her over the edge of tiredness but her and her friend were so happy i couldn't say no!

OrangePetal · 24/04/2010 19:54

oops hope we see you later but either way, I'll be thinking of you all

cyteen.. your afternoon sounds lovely!

TS... tornados? shit! least you've got your roof/gutters sorted so you won't be doing a dorothy on us! Woah...spooky...the answer to the quiz question on tv was 'wizard of oz' and he said it just as i was writing this bit!

ataraxis...hmm, it was a bit more 'launching' than 'climbing' to be honest! the 'donk' he made when he landed sounded awful but he never made a fuss about it!

loti.. i loved having bunk beds as a kid! Our DC will have to do the same due to lack of space in the current DC room. Thinking of you tonight too and hope you have the chat you obviously both need

cc... i'm astounded at your resolve!

trust me, I'd have kept DS in his cot for longer if he hadn't worked out how to climb out of it so soon! I'm pleased to report that he's gone to bed as if he'd been sleeping in it his whole life! As for gates on doors... he's had one on his bedroom door for a couple of months now, we knew it was only a matter of time before he worked out his escape route

hi to everyone i've forgotten/neglected to mention/x posted with!
I am absolutely shattered! ended up babysitting next door's 8yr old D for 3 hours! She's lovely but boy has she got alot of energy. she fooled me into thinking she couldn't go home til her parents got back... it was only when i heard a tv next door that i questioned her and found out her grandma had been there the whole time! We went to the park to try and burn some of her energy off but unfortunately there was a fun fair there. Perhaps i'm too soft but it cost me a fortune!! Actually, wasn't a fortune, only actually £10 but it was more than i was planning on spending today!

DH not back til late so tempted to have cheese on toast for dinner and go up myself soon! I would love a glass of wine so can one of you non-preggers have one on my behalf please (fully appreciate i can have a glass and i would do if there was any in the house!)

woah, I think Pea's practising her somersaults!

OrangePetal · 24/04/2010 19:55

bollocks! i give up! i've done it again!

OrangePetal · 24/04/2010 19:59

oh and i spoke to DH, told him about the bed thing and he sounded relieved that he didn't need to be involved in it all!

dizzydixies · 24/04/2010 20:35

evening all, sorry for whinge post re work, was on phone and trying to keep up wasn't the girls at work upsetting me but my big boss putting a narked comment on my appraisal as I don't agree with him on EVERY occassion and we've had a couple of horrific incidents all with very few staff to deal - enough now

QofD - again, how exciting!! welcome aboard the baby bus. Oops is the same weight as her booking in and I've managed to loose weight so there is hope - sensible eating, keep your water intake up and gentle excercise - swimming/yoga/pilates/walking are allideal

Oops - best of luck darling if you're stepping off the baby bus a wonderful WONDERFUL friend of mine celebrates her birthday today and that is as fantastic an omen as you can get

CC - enough with the waiting lady!!

Buckets - enjoy your night in London please have a copious amount of booze for me

Sazz - hope you and the sazzettes are having a WONDERFUL time darling, kisses to D on his birthday from me too

TS - baton down the hatches, I don't want to have to follow the yellow brick road to find you

cyteen - I can only echo what the others on hear have said. the wonderful way you talk about Simon makes me feel as if I have missed out not knowing him - J will learn through you he had an uncle to be proud of and will know how much he was loved. Please be kind to yourself, 3 years is no time at all.

LOTI - fingers crossed tonight is going better for you

VG - no coffee for me please but I'll forgive you the nestle coffee if you'll forgive me the cheerios - I just can't resist those wee round delights

Red - hugs

ALSB - welcome home, hope disney was fun

Miamla - shall see you on the other thread we moved DD1 into a bed at this stage too as she's been jumping up and down on her cot and the bottom of it went (it was a hand-me-down but still ) she loved it and was never any problem at all - fingers crossed for tonight

Poppy - hope you had a nice day and all recovered, DH included

LNT - loving your DH's mid life crises, at least he hasn't bought a motorbike like the poor lad I was dealing with today. let us know if he gets onto Glee and I'll cheer him on!!

right, apologies if I've forgotten anyone but I had so much I wanted to remember to post lol

OrangePetal · 24/04/2010 20:43

oh yes..LNT... forgot to congratulate your DH's gumption!

DS is still in exactly the same position I left him in! I know i said it earlier but he's great and makes my life so much easier than it could be!

just realised with all the excitement of him going to bed, i forgot to kiss him... off to rectify that now!

CaptainCaveman · 24/04/2010 21:02

This thread is exactly 2 weeks old - and it's nearly full already!

oops how exciting!!

Hi Dizzy your boss sounds like a tosspot?

Lovely chinese , just off for some wine, Dr Who and Lost. Perfect sat night in my books.

cyteen lol at unwise flesh displaying. J sounds like he really enjoyed himself, such a cutie that one

lol too at H albs with his singing combo

dizzydixies · 24/04/2010 21:05

Cece - he's a micro manager that can't control his interfering when we're trying to concentrate on running incidents in the way we've ALWAYS managed to do pita frankly

I texted my brother and told him last night (can't remember if I've mentioned this already) so he has informed all my family tonight at dinner - my dad sent me a nice message but nothing at all from the rest of them not surprised really though. DH told his parents who are delighted and I told two friends at work today too so all getting a bit real [meep]

QueenofDreams · 24/04/2010 21:39

Hey again ladies.
Totally worn out after trip to La Tasca at Bluewater. Told MIL and DP's sibs today. Figure they may as well know. If it doesn't stick we'd have to tell them anyway, so they might as well know now.
oops hope you're ok! Got everything crossed for you.
cc let us know soon!

Hi All

BAck home again after a short but uneventful trip. Baby is trying to excaspe just not doing a very good job! Am officially in preterm labour. Leak was a leak but seems to have sealed itself. Moster baby went from engaged to unengaged during the course of the tracing and refused to move or react to any contractions so they panicked slightly and spent time poking me to make her respond which she refused to do, eventually after 2 twix, half a box of tictacs, 2 cups of tea and a cup of ice - she wriggled slightly and went back to stillness. Saw the reg and he said I have to keep a kick/movement chart 4 times a day for an hour (like I have time ) ILs had DD who was still awake when we arrived home 15monutes ago but is now soundly asleep. I will not be far behind.

Sorry to have got your hopes up - no baby for this weekend.
