Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Books, cross posted again!

Yep, I plan to make full use of dh's gigging ear-plugs. Only kidding - I think.

teaandcakeplease · 07/04/2010 21:12

I sleep with one ear plug in and my other ear to pillow to partially muffle sound So I only hear if they crying, as opposed to chattering in cot. What a confession...

Resetting clock days are hard, agree with books, be worth it in the end though.

My DD is pretty much back to normal now thank goodness.

Hey everyone,

Shockingly just been out to the pub with some friends, feels like AN AGE since I have had reason to do that. only a quick one but was ace all the same

Had a lovely day, blowing out the cobwebs with a big trek accross the Marlborough downs where my friend lives.

Books- DD has done some spectacular whingathon today so i feel your pain. Speaking of GC's you ought to let me know when you have the car again so we can meet at that immense one near you, that was a brilliant place for pottering

Well, MissJ, I took your advice with the fennel seeds tonight and DC's loved it but DH not keen. RESULT!! I got nearly 2 portions of spinach and butternut squash risotto and it was delicious.
I Planted Mint, Rosemary, Sage and Chives (already have thyme) and DD, bless her has been taking good care of them. She has planted parsley, basil and coriander seeds inside so hopefully something will happen soon before she loses interest.
Glad you are feeling better, enjoy your wine!

Moose-hope DD ok tonight. Cake sounds great. LOL at the room situation, I am losing the plot with my two (and add DH into that as he is appalling at picking things up!).

Right, just cracking on with some wine...................well it IS the holidays Back in a mo!

Yey for all the wine pat, am v of you popping (pottering?) out to the pub - my nearest boozer is a good 30 mins walk down a dark lane ... not sure I would ever make it back.

books don't worry, I am obeying the sister and not cleaning, enjoying the wine and a spot of fb-ing instead.

dog forgot to say, poor B with her bad dream; I used to have terrible night terrors when I was her age.

Where is Lenni? and gumps? and TREE?! I do hope we have only been temporarily abandoned and not completely ditched

elkiedee · 08/04/2010 01:29

Spotted new thread so coming to bookmark, but also caught enough of the end of the last one to pick up MissJ's sad news. I'm so sorry.

sounds idyllic! I managed to burn a certain little person in the park today as I had no cream and no hat. oops. Had a lovely day though!

teaandcakeplease · 08/04/2010 21:38

The weather was good when I finally stepped outside to appreciate it

Does sound like a lovely day, even with the cat stealing fish. What cat wouldn't?

Glad the dreamcatcher is working. How was she tonight at bedtime?

Going swimming tomorrow with my LO's.

I caught up last night but now and shamefully forgetful. Sorry ladies.

Tea Sorry about getting divorce.

I can't do this right now; DD just spotted the computer open.

chefswife · 09/04/2010 05:44

Holy crap, it took a while to come back.

Boohoo to all the sunkissed little ones. That sun can really sneak up on you after the winter... we're still waiting. Its so windy here right now... good grief! What the heck was that... one minute. Holy crap again, a huge branch came off the pine tree outside my window... good thing it came down on the other side. Guess I've got some garden tending tomorrow. Poor old daffodils are really taking a beating this year. Good thing its burn day tomorrow too.

I feel so bad. DD and I had a lovely evening, dinner was nice, she let me clean up, (which can be done real fast when she isn't hounding me,,, as I'm sure all of you know, lol) and we played and ran around and had a lovely night. Bath time was nice too but after bath, I dried her off and she was sitting on my lap and I went to stand up, holding her, but she decided to leap out of my arms and came down on the heater. I thought she just banged her head and I was checking but no marks so I just held her while she snuggled into me and cried. It wasn't till a bit later that I realized she actually had a big welted like burn on her butt and when I felt the heater, it was HOT! I must have accidently turned it up when I was cleaning earlier. I feel so bad! Her poor, cute, kissable little bum has a big red mark on it. I hope it didn't hurt too much. I put calendula cream on it. I must remember to double check the thermostat after I clean the bathroom from now on. Oh man, I feel so guilty. I guess DD is going for gelato tomorrow.

In other news from here, I have to go for a CT Scan of my head. I've been having these light flashes for awhile now but didn't really think anything of it until I got word of an old friend who just passed of brain cancer. Actually, for the longest time, I thought it was the baby monitor lights flickering because I usually noticed them at night. Then when we stopped using the monitor, that's when I realized it was me and I became aware of when they were happening throughout the day. I went to have my eyes checked and I have swollen optic nerves so the doctor is sending me for a CT Scan. I should have asked for a copy of the pictures of my eyes because they were pretty cool. The doctor said that in the 32 years in the industry and he never saw such symmetrical optic nerves. I think I'll ask him... you can get some pretty cool stuff when you are an artist. I'm definitely asking for a picture copy of my brain... how many people get a chance to see their brain. I am being positive about because really, what else can you do?

teaandcakeplease · 09/04/2010 08:24

My DD sat bolt upright and screamed with a bad dream last night and insisted on coming into my bed, but then fidgeted all night and kicked me etc but wouldn't go back to hers. I'm sooo tired this morning!

teaandcakeplease · 09/04/2010 08:25

Chef - sorry about your DD butt being burnt ouch!

Hope your scan goes ok on your eyes. When is it?

missjackson · 09/04/2010 10:00

tea I feel your pain. N woke up at 2am and decided he wouldn't go back to sleep. I let him hang out a while with his books, and when I tried to feed him back to sleep, he had a meltdown. Ended up jogging around the room with him for 15 mins to get him off to sleep in my arms. Was 4.20am before we were finally back in bed. Why don't they have a [totally knackered] emoticon on MN? Surely would be most used?

Poor burned babies, I and V. Hope they are feeling better today. Aloe vera gel is great.

Another gorgeous day here , have been sat outside eating breakfast and listening to the radio - it's like being on holiday. of the beach though dog. Maybe I should come for visit this summer? N would love it.

Lenni · 09/04/2010 11:05

Can't catch up sorry for what I've missed. MissJ so sorry to hea your news. Like eppm I had an early mc the cycle before dd was conceived. It is devastating. Make sure you rest up and give yourself the time to recover, will be thinking of you.

Morocco is stunning and hot. Be back soon, and today I am 30, welcome to the 4th decade! Argh!

Zoo plans sound like fun tink.

moosemama · 09/04/2010 13:02

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENNI!

(Still think yer a whippersnapper though! )

Weather has taken us all by surprise as well. Had to go out and buy extra drinks and ice lollies for ds1's party tomorrow as they are predicting it will be a scorcher. Actually it was last time we had a party for him at Mum's house and that was 3 years ago now. Also need to rewrite part of the mystery and clues to include some outside time.

Note to self: get dh to buy a big bottle of suntan lotion when he pops into town later today.

teaandcakeplease · 09/04/2010 14:38

Happy birthday Lenni, I liked being 30. Mind you wasn't that long ago for me I'm only 31 Have a great day, slightly of morocco!
