Hi all,
Just flying past to keep you all on my list.
Sorry, have only read the last couple of posts.
Dog, sorry I missed your birthday. Glad the dcs gave you the best present ever of being well behaved in public though.
Tea, sorry, I'm not on the facebook group, so can't help there.
My ds2 had to have 10 drops at a time in each eye several times a day for quite a while, but he was a bit older (2ish) when it started. We used to make sure he was holding his favourite toy (bunny) then we would put her drops in first, followed by his. It helped to tell him that bunny needed a cuddle after her drops as that distracted him as the first few drops went in. He always fought when he was tiny, but it became easier the older he got. I think everyone develops their own technique of holding them for it really. In ds's case the tighter we held him, the more he fought, so we had to get him lying down against the back of the sofa in the corner, with us blocking his escape route, iyswim. I feel for you, its horrible, but ds got used to it and is by no means permanently traumatised, so I'm sure your ds will be fine. Hope he's better soon. Dd was supposed to have her jabs yesterday, but I had to cancel as I couldn't get anyone to have the boys and they don't allow siblings at baby clinic because of infection risk with the newborns.
Right, must be off. I have ANOTHER birthday cake to bake. Phew! I'll be glad when this weekend is over.
