Thought we don't give a shit could cause issues for thems that don't like swearing.

Spring clean day today. Urgh. Freecycle and ebay galore.

I need iron am all wibbly.

Um, forgotten most of what I meant to say.

Frizbe - gonna send you a cheque. I typed in your bank details wrong and it bounced back

Strawberry not a well bunny. Hoping it is just a bug, but she has a suspiciously poxy looking spot too...

OP posts:

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2010 07:52

Well worth the 98p.

Lasagne sounds great.

friz - send her my love.

Argh for SS and holiday situation too.

I have started my day with a poo explosion. Joy. Given that she was in 2 cloth nappies and a wrap, it was pretty impressive.

Oh and I forgot to dry my jeans last night. No idea what to wear now.

mustrunmore · 10/05/2010 18:45

At least you have jeans that fit you
Oh yes, I thought I'd said lovely to lasagne, but that was obv just in my head . But if I'm the only veggie, I really really am happy with just a bit of plain pasta. No need to make a sep thing for me. You know me, I just like my water and ice

Was going to ask if we were doing a swap shop again, but realised I've got niothing to swap as I've put iy all on ebay Thought that counts, eh?

EachPeachPearMum · 10/05/2010 23:13

I'm an idiot... I assumed it was your poo Flame...

I'm definitely coming then.

But CSWS- aren't you pretty heavily pg now? Should we not be bringing stuff rather than you making lasagne?( It's pretty longwinded I find)
If not, what do you want us to bring? Shoudl we do a list?

What time are we likely to be eating? (thinking of DS here, though I can easily bring soemthing for him).

LoL@ mrm's theoretical swapshop! But sorry to hear about your friend.

Not sure I've much to swap this year... will have a dig. Books probably though...

Friz- sorry t hear about holiday situation... the ash thing is a weirdie isn't it... so annoying, and could be on for months.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/05/2010 14:22

I'm ok with doing lasagne eppm, as dh will make the meat sauce for me on Thurs night, and then I'll piece it all together on Friday night or Sat morning, so it just has to go in the oven (with some garlic bread) when we want it. And knocking up some salad to go with it should be fairly easy.

I'm going to make one of my yummy choc cakes (with hidden veg!) for pud too I think, but the great thing is that the one I'm planning on tastes better the day after making, so I can do that on Friday too .

So as long as you bring drinks, so that I don't have to think about that and remember what everyone likes, then we should be sorted.
And travel cots and what not too obv.

Are people staying for lunch on sunday too, or having to get off? Will prob just be bunging a chicken in the oven with some jacket potatoes and a few veg, so it's no problem to have people here, as long as I know what size chicken to buy!

And are the rest of you arriving before/after/same time as Friz?

mustrunmore · 11/05/2010 16:38

I have no idea what time we're coming, I'm in Flame's capable hands not sure about Sunday either, although I'm meeting another friend late afternoon, and Falme is convinced her satnav can get us to somewhere to drop me off! So I think it depends on what time lunch would be? It would be rude to eat and leave straight after!

Pls donr faff about making veg lasagne, I really am 100% happy with salad and garlic bread.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/05/2010 16:54

Oh yes, forgot to answer EPPM's question about what time tea is! Well we usually eat around 5pm cause of the kids. Does everyone want to eat then, or should we feed D & M (+ strawb) then and the rest of us eat once they're in bed, which prob wouldn't be until 7:30 ish?
Lunch on Sunday around 12-12:30. Fine to eat and run if that's what you need to do. Ds will have a nap after lunch anyway so we can load dishwasher and then have a sit down to recover!
Not sure what time dd is coming back yet.

Flamesparrow · 11/05/2010 16:56

Lunch sounds good. Not discussed with Boy my hometime yet so I should prob check

I'm happy to eat whenever and arrive whenever

Phoenix · 11/05/2010 21:44

wish i could come. Stupid expensive diesel and lack of money (and none sleeping in his cot child)

Phoenix · 11/05/2010 21:49

Oh and I took ds1 to speech therapy yesterday and mentioned about his query tongue tie (he was referred to E.N.T. last September but the consultant took one look at him sticking his tongue out and said he'd seen worse tongue ties and he didn't think it needed snipping so he discharged us saying if speech therapy thought it needed doing they could re refer him) and guess what? They think his tongue tie is affecting some of his speech so queue another wait while they re refer him to E.N.T.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/05/2010 21:56

Well, I guess that's the state of the NHS under a labour government phoenix. Things should improve now .

mustrunmore · 12/05/2010 07:43

Lol csws. dh still fumin bout when the conservatives took his free milk off him at achool

Ok, the bad news.... I'm blowing you all out for the weekend. I know its very last miniute, and I'm very sorry if its taking the piss with your hospitality csws, but I just really cant make it. I've told Flame I'll email her and give details which she can pass on to you if you care ,but in a nut shell, I've got a lunatic on my trail, literally and I dont want dh to be here alone with the kids if said nutter comes round as threatened.

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/05/2010 08:32
Sad
mustrunmore · 12/05/2010 10:22

I'll make it up to you! I'd even bitten the bullet about turning up huge too

Frizbe · 12/05/2010 21:16

MRM, hope you can avoid the nutter, will get story off Flame if we're allowed?

To be honest I'm wrestling about coming down too, but I am going to come! even though I can't afford it as I want to see you all and I'll tell you all about it over lots of wine (see I'm going to embarrass myself infront of lots of sober people, which will make your weekends!) do I still need my airbed? Won't be staying for dinner, will leave just before, as have to take ss back to Leeds pm.

Phoenix, so at NHS for you, that's really annoying, what a waste o time and money for all concerned. If you can make it to here on Saturday, you can hitch down with me? I could send you back to Barnsley later with dh and ss as he has to go back upto leeds (but we wouldn't all fit in the car for the girls and me to come too!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/05/2010 22:11

If it's no trouble to bring the airbed friz then pop it in the car, and we see if we need it on the day (mrm was sharing a bed with flame, so her not coming doesn't really free up a proper sleeping space). Sort of depends on whether I manage to make the 'library' habitable between now and then or not! Have you heard whether our other new invitee can make it or not?

Frizbe · 12/05/2010 22:20

Oooh hello! and YES to Lasagne and well just about any food bar nuts really Sorry but she's a no show, her dh has to work early Sunday am and there's no one else to have her ds (my dh won't as he has our 3 to deal with already ) I shall pack my bed!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/05/2010 22:24

You're not allergic to nuts are you friz (there are a few ground almonds in the cake I was planning on making)?

EachPeachPearMum · 12/05/2010 23:21

mrm- very sorry to hear you won't be joining us hope problem is dealt with quickly.

Phoenix- sorry to hear appointment didnt go well. Some consultants seem to know nothing about tongue-tie. and you're right too pursue... DH still cannot pronounce his 'r's or stick his tongue out of his mouth past his teeth without pain.

5pm tea is great for us! (the children will be eating the same as us, yes?)
And lunch on sunday sounds fantastic [greedy]

re sleeping arrangements... I am right in saying there is a double bed available somewhere? or a mattress on a floor, don't mind... just that DS has outgrown his travel cot (it's on ebay atm actually).

What can I bring? I need to know so I have chance to buy before setting off, as DS will (hopefully) sleep all the way down, so no stop-offs.

Friz- when you said you had car trouble (here, or fb cannot remember) was it your picasso? [still haven't changed car uselessness]

mustrunmore · 13/05/2010 07:34

you could do a live webcam link on sat night

Frizbe · 13/05/2010 17:49

CSWS I'm ok with Almonds, seems that hazelnuts and walnuts are the main isshooo, no fruit n nut bars for me any more (sob) or carrot cakes if they're done with nuts.. it's weird? damn body!

EPPM yes it's the picasso, tis fixed for now, will tell u all about it on sat!

dd1 is poorly here, I being evil and having to go to work this am, sent her to school with nurofen, as she has a bit o snot, but earache...she still has the same symptoms, but is looking so tired, poor mite, and has struggled to eat any tea, I'm hoping she'll sleep it off tonight I think it's just being bunged up? I'm leaving her with my store manager tonight at our house, as I'm off to bbsit for another friend (its her wedding anniversary)dh was supposed to have the kids, but he's chosen to work and let our manager come here?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/05/2010 20:48

Don't worry eppm - we can sort out a bed for ds no problem.

You really only need to bring whatever you want to drink. Pretty sure that we have everything else covered .
Although on the very off chance that you still have and don't need any newborn/youngish sleep suits, then feel free to bring those! We don't know sex (although I'm suspecting boy), but I don't actually have many of either gender left!

Ooh actually, on that theme, if anyone has a TENS machine that I can borrow then I'd be really grateful .

Flamesparrow · 13/05/2010 21:38

I have a bag of girl newborn stuff And some boy stuff thinking about it.

You want many preemie fuzzis too?

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/05/2010 22:03

preemie as in 'for tiny babies'? I don't think I'll need any of those - baby estimated at 5lb 11oz at just under 30 weeks, so it's going to be another biggie!

Flamesparrow · 13/05/2010 23:39

Lol nah they are actually a lot bigger than you would think. Strawb wasn't exactly small and she was in them for a good while.

mustrunmore · 14/05/2010 07:15

Oh fuck csws; I just gave a not -very -good- but- assume -it- was -servicable tens machine to charity , from the flat clearing. Want a zimmer frame insta=ead?
