BREAKING NEWS * A Miracle Happened at the star house last night
Q slept through the night! And I mean through. 7pm until 6.45am. Stirred at around 3am but it was literally a THREE SECOND "ahhhh" shout, then straight back out. I actually thought he had stopped breathing by the morning and was in a panic, but nope, he was soundly sleeping.

This is the very first time in 17 months that he has slept that long without waking and needing to be held or crying for a long time!!!!!!!!

I hear you loud and clear on the house prices, aubergenie

Sorry to hear you're falling to pieces pepper!

well done with the running, aubergenie.

csws I loooove house.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 09:44

Great news star - didn't realise that was the first time.

I don't know what's wrong with ds. He has spent the last week mostly sobbing or screaming.

StarExpat · 29/03/2010 09:49

He's "slept through" before... but not for nearly 12 hours. Or anything more than 6 in fact. He did once, I think... but had a few wakes anyway where he'd cry and settle back or need a cuddle...etc.
He didn't ask to get out of the cot at all last night. He wasnt in our bed at all... total miracle.

StarExpat · 29/03/2010 09:50

Is D teething, csws?

Q now has 4 molars but only 3 front bottom teeth and 4 front top teeth. they aren't following any sort of order.

No don't think he's teething. He has 12 teeth so only canines and back molars to come.
Does have a very runny nose, but nothing else obviously physically wrong.

OP posts:
StarExpat · 29/03/2010 12:18

So why does Q have an odd number of teeth? Weird! he has 11! I think it's totally odd how his bottom two grew in then the one on the left... but the one on the right is still not even thinking about coming through.

Poor little D It's so sad thinking of him like that because he's normally so chilled out and happy. Is his snot green or white? gross I know but that's my limited knowledge. If it's green/yellow it's more sinister.

Sounds like fun, myjob. I missed out on TTC threads as I wasn't TTC. Wish I had now... knowing how much fun MN is...

So... going to see Myjob the thursday after this one. Anyone else around? Greenwich or London meet up? Bluewater?

CSWS - DDs been doing that for a couple of days, not at all herself but with a clear, runny nose. Then today she thrown up on me twice - she coughs then chucks up what looks like green snot
Either that or she's turned into an alien?

StarExpat · 29/03/2010 14:11

ROFL at pepper's alien!

Csws I can probably do the 8th as well.

50ftQueenie · 29/03/2010 18:39

Hello!

Yay for sleeping through Star. M still hasn't managed that long yet.
Off to catch up..... We might be free on the 8th.... DH hasn't decided when to take leave yet.

50ftQueenie · 29/03/2010 18:51

Yay for Mr Pepper! Good on him. DH would have the snip if I asked him but.... there's probably not a lot of point is.... Sorry to hear you're falling apart. The extended warranty on my body has run out and I'm falling apart too. Hope poor DD feels better soon.

Aubergenie - If it's any consolation, even out here in the suburbs there is litter and dog crap everywhere. It's gotten so bad that even M points out the poo on the path. Heaven help the first person I see who fails to pick up their dog's shit! I honestly think that people who don't pick up their animal's poo shouldn't be allowed to keep pets. Is looking outside of London too far for work?

CSWS - Awww..... poor D. It's rubbish when they can't tell you what's wrong.

M has 12 teeth now too and appears to have miraculously overcome her dairy intolerance!

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 19:04

What just like that she's over it 50ft . Maybe it was a temporary lactose thing after a tummy bug, rather than CMPI then. Who knows?!

I may have to revise my 'not teething' comment. There's possibly a canine getting close. If it is that then I hope it gets a bloody move on pushing through, as it's been hell on earth today!

I was going to suggest moving out of London too aubergenie. Would commuting be absolutely terrible for you both? Or would you be happy to look for a teaching job elsewhere?

OP posts:
StarExpat · 29/03/2010 19:56

Bluewater on the 8th???
Anyone? Everyone? Even just for Leon?

Come live in Surrey, aubergenie.
DH used to commute to London Bridge every day for work. and he just loooooved it! lol

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 20:00

I'd prefer somewhere a bit closer to me on 8th, as the kids will have a very long car journey on 10th, and don't want to use up all of their good will before then!

Maybe a softplay? Is Brentford near you? I have no idea what it is there.... someone recently told me about some lovely softplay in "Brentford".... but, now that I'm writing it down... ummm, it might not be the right word. Is there a town with that name?? Oh god, my UK geography is so dire! I know all of the counties surrounding London, though... just not what's in them, except in surrey. and now, bluewater in kent.

StarExpat · 29/03/2010 20:03

oh dear, are they even called "counties"? I think they are... I do recall filling that out on forms here. I think damn it. I'll shut up now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 20:11

There is a Brentford yes star - it's nearish to Richmond, so I'm surprised that you don't know it!

There's also a big shopping centre at Brent Cross (junction of M1 and north circular) which is prob a good point for you and I to meet, though it's probably not so good for 50ft - not sure how trains run from her neck of the wood across the city though.
Is Ronshar up for this too? Would Brent Cross suit if so?
Don't go often enough to recommend a specific restaurant, but there is an Ikea and a big John Lewis, so there are def options that are child friendly (and I could look for some new lights for the playroom).

OP posts:
StarExpat · 29/03/2010 20:16

Oh I've been to Brent Cross! When we lived in central london (Earl's Court) several years ago. Now we go to the Croydon Ikea (blick). Ikea is ok just not croydon. I don't usually travel that way unless it's for Ikea.

Ok maybe there's a nice softplay near there, too? and then we can go to ikea or wherever we want?

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 20:16

Brent Cross

StarExpat · 29/03/2010 20:18

no leon... but there's a wagamama!

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/03/2010 20:20

Clown Town is just a bit further round the North Circ. Have been there before with some other MNers.
