Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Exciting HC I must have missed you saying you were doing that. What does it involve?
I was keen to do this after I had dd (and bf her for over 2 years )But never did it...I was put off after I heard it took YEARS to be a nct bf councellor(sp).

Do you have to pay? And where do you do it and who looks after your dc's?? Questions!!!

Scout19075 · 01/05/2010 07:13

Sebby awake for 2 1/2 hours last night in the middle of the night. And up for the day at 6:30. To be fair, once he got back to sleep I had a five hour block of sleep -- but that's all the sleep I've had last night. And Guide Sleep Over tonight, so little chance of a good night sleep tonight. ugh.

(And I will now stop feeling sorry for myself and crack on with gathering craft supplies for tonight and icing the chocolate cake I've made for the event.)

fidelma · 01/05/2010 07:22

agughhhhhhh I need to do some sleep training.Connor is waking every 2 hours and boy can he cry when I leave him.Ruby I think I will need to follow your training.

Hugs to scout have a great time with the guides.

Happy bank holiday weekend.

Please tell me how your lo slept last night.

Fidelma
F went down at 8.30 woke at 1.30 then had a poo so needed a new nappy which makes him totally awake and all sing-ey!! I fed him for ages then put him in his cot singing and gurgling. He fell asleep after a while no idea what time. Deffo past 2 ish.
Then he woke at half 5 and fed/sung tll half 6 when he nodded off again...but...dd and ds1 were awake from half 5.....grrgh!! F woke for the day at half 7.

HappyTangerine · 01/05/2010 12:17

Another rough night here as well - went down at 8pm, woke at 10.30, back at 11.30, huge screaming wake up at 2.30. Asleep half hour later, woke AGAIN at 5 and went back to sleep at 6.30-8.00am. We are all knackered and want to hire ruby as sleep nanny!

But OMG my hair-so very different! I uttered the words that must be music to a hairdressers ears - "I want it cut short but for style -just do what you want." Its now 8 inches shorter . And I took the last of the evil tablets this morning-hurrah!

Scout Have a great time!

Igglybuff · 01/05/2010 19:17

Hi everyone. We've made it to our holiday cottage. Nice to be beside the sea!

Bad nights - well William is back to three hourly feeds although goes down very easily at start of the night. He isn't actually hungry for all of them - he just wants boob to go back to sleep. He seems very grizzly - think the second tooth is about to emerge.

I've just got him down in the travel cot although took some effort - he was a bit confused generally and very tired as hasn't napped well all day. I've sent DH out to get fish and chips so that'll be nice!

scout enjoy the guides!

ht loved the new haircut - saw pic on FB! wish I was brave enough to go short - my hair is difficult to manage so I don't dare!!

I'll probably not post much if at all while away but will be reading if it's 3am and I'm feeding

fidelma · 02/05/2010 08:03

OK Just as bad last night but I did not feed him back to sleep.

I gave him a dream feed and a feed at 4am but nothing inbetween. He cried quite hard but I pupd and he went back to sleep.

All quite tiering but no worse than feeding and I am hopeful that he will soon start not to wake up.

I hope the force is with me LOL !!!

Off to sil for a rare lunch (they are always at ours with me providing the entertainment)

princessmel · 02/05/2010 08:55

It's so hard not feeding them , when you know that's exactly what they want isn't it? I just can't/wont do it yet! I always have this 'what if they're starving' voice in my head!!!
I did do it with dd after about a year I think ((mad emoticon))

Last night F went down at 8.30, woke at half 12 then 3 ish but I nodded off (with him latched on/off)and woke at 4.20 and put him back in bed. He then woke at 6 ish with a poo (again...)
I've just put him back to bed. Other dc's been awake since 6ish too....(yawn)

Dh is working all this weekend Doing a private job. Boo hoo
The dc's have a party this morning then we're going to a roast at my parents, my dsis will be their too. Her dh is working with my dh this weekend. I did think we could walk to the park....but it's raining and grey and yuk outside.

Hope you're all well.

fidelma · 02/05/2010 10:31

Rare lunch now at the pub

HappyTangerine · 02/05/2010 10:54

Hiya. J went down at 8pm, woke screaming at 10.30pm and went back off quickly after some Anebesol liquid and a quck feed. Woke again at 2ish, got back quickly, then woke screaming again at 4am and didn't go back off until past 5.30. He was trumping away so I think it was constipation-he woke at 8am and by 9 had done a huge poo which dh got to eal with as I refused to shift from my bed.

Weather grim here and I'm shattered so may have a quiet day in. princessmel I feed to sleep as well for that exact same reason, what if he'ss hungry?

Have a good day all

fidelma · 02/05/2010 20:05

My big girls are driving me insane !!!!!

I am a mad crazy woman.I WANT THEM IN BED NOW OR I MAY SMASH THEIR VIOLIN AND FLUTE>MUSIC PRACTISE UGHhhhhhh I WANT TO SCREAM !!!!!!!!(maybe I should sell them on ebay)the musical instruments not the children, however that is an idea.

(wonders if period is about to start)

Babies are easy.

Ok ok I will calm down.

FIDELMA GOES CRAZY !!!!!!!!

They are at school tomorrow yipeeeee for school.

Perhaps I should have a gin

Did I mention them bickering and never doing as they are told.(Fidelma runs around the house screamming)

Yes the sleep deprived mother of 4 has LOST THE PLOT !!!!!!!!!!

AND ANOTHER THING SIL WHO INVITED US ALL FOR LUNCH TOLD US TO MEET THEM AT THE PUB.

sOOOOOOO relaxing with 4 children

OK OK THIS IS MAKING ME FEEL A BIT BETTER.

(the caps lock is also not behaving sorry again)

I need chocolate and cake and everything eles you can think of.

Please dont report me I am mostly a good mother.!!!!!!

Dont worry the children are safe as DH is here. (well outside with ds on the tractor cutting the grass)

I have sent the girls to bed.

I think I would like to be a carear woman, any ideas. One that is away from home often !!!!!

I hope my insanity has made you all laugh and not call childline. !!!!

princessmel · 02/05/2010 20:50

LOL Fidelma!!!

have you already been on the gin???

I know what you mean about the non-realxing pub trip with 4 children. But actually, saying that, the last time we took them to a pub with the inlaws they were all very good...

I also know what you mean about the bickering and not listening....it's VERY tiring/draining and wearing.

Love the 'cutting the grass with the tractor',.......ds1 would love that.

Just a quicky for me. Had a roast at my parents and ds2 had a pretty good go at the roast with his BLW. He was COVERED in food!! Some of it must have gone in. I had to dismantle the booster high chair (it's one we leave at mum and dad's house) and give it a bath!!! I left it in there to soak and forgot about it so when they go up to bed tonight they'll find it....lololol!

HumphreysCorner · 02/05/2010 21:18

Hi all

Matthew is crying all the time and wants holding. He is waking every 2 hours at night and I am so tired I boob him and put him back in his cot. At 6am he cried constantly. Must be his teeth.

princessmel-the course is 10 weeks and I take Matthew with me. Emma is at school and Sophie goes to my mum and dad's. Don't think it can be the course you wanted to do as NCT wasn't mentioned. You can take all your children with you so it is chaotic. Also don't see how we will be qualified to advise new mums on the maternity ward.

fidelma-hope your head isn't too sore in the morning.

Struggling to type now as we aren't allowed lights on in our house due to extreme increase in the electic bill and I can't see the keys.

Big wave!

HC

princessmel · 02/05/2010 21:37

Maybe he's poorly HC ??
F was grumpy, cried lots and needed lots of holding last week, when he had his virus.

fidelma · 02/05/2010 21:55

No sadly not had any alcahol yet. However just watched Pinneapple which made me laugh.Dh is looking after me cookin dinner for me etc.I am very lucky.

Scout19075 · 02/05/2010 22:10

We survived Seb's first Guide overnight but I'm so very shattered. Just wanted to mark my place and hope you have a good Bank Holiday tomorrow -- and that the weather improves!

Have a good night all!

fidelma · 02/05/2010 22:30

Welcome home Scout hope you sleep well tonight.

Sorry for my bad spelling.

littlepea72 · 03/05/2010 05:59

Fidelma thank you for that LOL...

Igglybuff · 03/05/2010 09:07

I had to post after seeing fidelma's rant. LOL!

to all.

Just a quickie - William is sleeping better here than at home. The air is so much fresher by the sea - his room doesn't get stuffy as it does at home. Actually our builder said his daughter (7 months) started sleeping through once they let a draft in her room. Shame we can't do that as traffic noise is too loud.

I want to move out of London - I always think that when we go away.

Anyway, off to take W to see the sea for the first time later today

enjoy the bank hol!

HappyTangerine · 03/05/2010 09:14

fidelma Lol, wish I'd read this last night, I'd have hit the gin with youHow are you this morning?

Iggly-hope you are having a good time in the cottage

Scout Glad it went well. Seb is having lots of adventures!

HC , Poor Matthew, hope you all have a better night tonight.

princessmel Thats great news about the blw and roast, bet it must have been a great sight.

Not a bad night here at all, Joe slept 9pm-1am then 1.30 to 6am. We all got up then. DH got up and immediately doubled over with pain in his back . I gave him some anti-inflammotary tablets and he's a lot better now but no road trips for us today. We were all awake by that point so dh and Joe played and I had a mad cleaning fit and reorganised some cupboards.

Really, really mising London today - Calypso, your boat trip sounded wonderful!

Have a great day all x

littlepea72 · 03/05/2010 10:31
