Hi HT sorry just saw your post. I don't give the pots just buy the dried porridge (4 grain stuff with added fruit). Well I've bought one packet of pots - the blueberry one. And I only gave him 5-6 spoons (baby spoons!)
William has about a table spoon of porridge (mixed with grated apple or pear and my milk) for brekkie. Lunch will be protein, veg and carb (e.g chicken, squash and carrot casserole) and tea is just porridge or fruit puree. I'm taking it quite slowly.
The stuff that made William poo is the plum porridge with apricot. Just a few spoons worth and poos away!! If I think he's not had enough liquid I let him sip some water.
Taste wise, I try and give different veggies and add a tiny bit of spice (cumin, nutmeg, coriander etc). I also let him play with sticks of carrots, avocado, rice cakes, chips (which he loved) and today he had lumps of chicken.
Sounds like a lot! But I do struggle as no dairy as I think he's intolerant. At the moment I just see it as fun and I'm not trying to get much food into him......
It is daunting HT but it'll be ok. Remember, food for fun until they're one (or so I tell myself).
HC sorry about your SIL
ruby good luck with the sleep consultation. It will be worth it!
scout it's lovely round there isn't it? My friend had a cottage round there (can't remember exactly where) and I really liked staying there.
