oops, didn't notice the thread was getting too big!

PMSL at the Burn's night smilies; I thought they were wearing earphones.

not sure I agree with them; as a proud Scot, I hate all that fucking tacky tartan crap that we get labelled with, tartan tammies and fake ginger hair more than most

Ohforfoxsake · 27/03/2010 09:31

I lurk and keep up to date Daisy.

Riapentatleisure · 27/03/2010 11:01

love to daisy - have car will travel (a bit!), though the thought of the coast roads at Easter make me a bit wobbly!

IKWYM about wine, have had 2 nights of wine in almost 4 weeks, only involving one and a bit bottles. Feel the wine making industry will be suffering!

I have "relative" peace for a couple of days... my parents have gone to the Dales

your Dsis is leaving fairy, hope you have a lovely day

have been lurking too

Jammyrella · 27/03/2010 13:20

I suspect we have all become a gang of lurkers?

Happy Birthday Fairy. about your sister though.

Lovely reflexology this morning And she kindly made me up an oil blend to try to treat the eczema behind my ear, so hopefully the bleeding will stop!

Some thieving &#%$ers have stolen one of the outside play items at our children's centre . Tossers! Can't believe (well sadly I can ) how low some people will stoop.

Riapentatleisure · 27/03/2010 13:35

jammy. someone here is still stealing plants from my aunts grave. Makes you wonder what these people think.

sorry fairy, have I missed your birthday? Happy birthday! (and to bumper too if you're lurking, I think it's roundabout now?)

so tired today, can't get motivated.

LittleMissNorty · 27/03/2010 22:03

Hello everyone

No point becoming a gang of lurkers if there is nothing to lurk at!

Blimey Daisy, that was like trying to read one of my neice's text messages

Oh Foxy, getting excited for you

Had a fab week in Devon, crap weather but didn't let that bother us. E started walking (just) and is rather demanding atm as well as popping 3 molars in 3 days....DD not to be left out spent the whole week crying "I want my mummyyyyyyyyy". Love them as I do, I am looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday

Jammyrella · 27/03/2010 22:06

That's Ria about your aunt's flowers.

Norty, glad you had a good time. Ouch for all of you re those molars! The phrase I am sick of is "My Daddy at work." Thankfully I am so pleased she is talking that I can't get too upset over it.

LittleMissNorty · 27/03/2010 22:14

Jammy. I also spent the whole week telling her not to touch anything in the shops (especially the Dartington one). One afternoon tea in the cafe she pipes up "mummy, I want to go in there and touch everything" ....don't think so love....

Riapentatleisure · 28/03/2010 13:02

guess which idiot forgot to change the clocks, and I've been merrily gardening all morning thinking we'd done really well to be out there by 9, and now I need to be somewhere in an hour and I smell like the wrong end of a pig (DS1 was turning his compost!)

Jammyrella · 28/03/2010 13:51

We forgot too Ria, but it didn't matter for us as we have nothing planned for today (until DH goes out at 7pm). So all it meant was that we got up at 7.10am, came down and had breakfast and suddenly realised it was 9.45 when we put the TV on. So I didn't lose an hour in bed, I lost an hour of playing Shopping List and doing Peppa Pig jigsaws

Jammyrella · 28/03/2010 13:52

Ooops 8.45 not 9.45 - even I don't eat that much breakfast

LackaDAISYcal · 28/03/2010 22:04

lol at my post on Friday ....too drunk to correct all my typos on this teeny keyboard.

hope everyone is well.....oooh foxy, not long now? Is everything organised and ready to run like clockwork?

Yay for jamlet's talking jammy....sounds like she is rapidly making up for lost time. bumble is a lot less verbal (but unfortunately not less vocal) than the other two...he makes up for it by shouting and screeching though! He has had his last breast feed and I'd like to say it was a lovely calm affair, buut it was the same old "wriggle, nip, feed, nibble, slide off mum's lap then get stroppy when she puts her boob, feed some more, nip again and scratch" affair that it has recently become but with a final blood letting bite into the bargain.....so Enough is Enough...he got a good innings!!

Dd is being a little horror at the minute, and they are all keeping me on my toes....with no time to pooter in the daytime at all now

Ria, how is the DH situation? thinking about you lots, but well done on your weight loss; although the "stressed due to absent DH" diet probably isn't much cop! I put on all I had lost after my weekend in the lakes, so am a bit glum, but this week should see at least 3lbs off but hopefully a bit more as I have been sooooo good (Friday evening excepted )

sorry to post and run, but need to get to bed as knackered....one day we will all be online at the same time again...we should set a date for it and all bring a bottle

Riapentatleisure · 28/03/2010 22:51

blimey my day has been manic. but fun.

Have a lovely tidy back garden (even though DS1 dropped his end of the playhouse on his head when we were lifting it over the BBQ to move it to the paved area), a shiny car, some fleur (as DS1 said) seeds planted in the cold frame, "new" kitchen chairs from freecycle (who would have thought you could get three kids and 5 dining chairs in a Mitsubishi spacestar?), tip run done, school clothes ironed and shoes cleaned, and a quick trip to morrisons for fresh pizza because I was having too much fun to cook proper food!

I even cracked open my tiny birthday bottle of pink fizz at teatime, a glass and a half and a cracking headache. Feel like I have a stinking cold now, not to mention aches and pains from moving stuff in the garden that probably should have had 2 people. Oops.

Meeting a friend at a nice garden centre for coffee in the morning, and meant to be seeing DH, but things change from day to day, so not sure about that

hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I saw some lambs ina a field today

must go and have a very hot bath!

LittleMissNorty · 29/03/2010 09:55

Morning

What a day Ria - sounds good. Glad you are getting on ok.

Nice to see you Daisy....life sounds manic with 3 DCs.

DS due his MMR today and typically has a rash all over him - I think its a viral rash so waiting on a call from the doctors. Took me ages to convince the surgery to give him a MMR outside of a Wednesday (their usual day) so am keen to get it over and done with otherwise I have to take a day off work for a 2 minute jab!

Only a few of us on this thread now. Haven't seen Sputnik for ages. Perhaps we should all just decamp to FB?

Ohforfoxsake · 29/03/2010 10:11

Ria - you go girl!

Am liking the new positive Ria, get you - all dynamic and getting sorted!

H had better watch out - you're on fire, lady!

Jammyrella · 29/03/2010 12:10

I also like the dynamic new Ria

FairyFay · 29/03/2010 13:14

go ria, go ria, go ria

Riapentatleisure · 29/03/2010 14:23

why thank you!

excellent day here I "won the draw" on freecycle for an electric guitar and amp, so DS1 will love me forever, my BIL delivered the new hutch for the guinea pig this morning, and it is about 4 times as big as I was expecting (that'll teach me to check dimensions), so I owe him a few more beers than I've already bought! Nice meeting with friend, baggins was quite well behaved in the swanky coffee shop, and ... had lunch with DH and he has maybe had the time he needed and we might be making a small move in the right direction (but, as I said, it seems to change from day to day,so we'll see).

poor DS norty, hope he is ok and you got jabbed!

Riapentatleisure · 29/03/2010 14:25

oops, that isn't what DH said (that makes him sound a proper arse), it's just the way things are moving that make me think he has turned a corner with whatever ails him.

FairyFay · 29/03/2010 19:00

for good days, Ria

Ohforfoxsake · 29/03/2010 19:27

Ria, you seem to be managing quite well without him. Do what YOU want, in the time YOU need.

Jammyrella · 29/03/2010 20:04

Oh Foxy speaks such sense, and exactly what I wanted to say but was too afraid of sounding bossy to say so ! Ria, I am actually quite of your recent dynamo lifestyle, wish I could get my arse into gear

Big meeting at work today about centre restructure. I might have to do more chemically stuff in the future and less radioactive stuff

Tummy all full of yummy risotto atm, made with leftover beef from last night's roast And DH brought home some cheap cake

justbeme · 29/03/2010 22:56

Hello have been lurking!!
Now can't remember all the news!
Foxy, all very exciting - are you getting nervous?
Ria - Take him back on your terms - otherwise, if things go wrong he'll think you'll always take him back whatever. Show him that you're not going to be walked over and you can survive on your own! (even if you can't!!)

Glad you had a good hol Norty - shame about the weather. Would you recommend the holiday place?

Jammy our childrens centre has 2 of those nice scooters right by the gate (they are about £45 each ) - the ones with 2 wheels at the front - can't see them staying put for long!

Well, I'm 31 weeks now - and feeling huge. Don;t know how I'm going to get to term!!
Still having wobbly days over my Sister, but that's to be expected I suppose.

Jammyrella · 30/03/2010 00:59

Hi JBM, 31 weeks !!!! Where has the time gone??? Hope the last bit isn't too uncomfortable for you. And fingers crossed for those scooters. This is what got taken from our children's centre

Foxy - is everything in place? Anything you need?

Riapentatleisure · 30/03/2010 12:33

wow JBM, that's fab. Hope you have a healthy and comfortable few weeks.

I will try to follow your advice, well, I am trying that anyway, I have lots of things I want sorting before he comes back. I suppose I really meant I'm just glad he's ready to talk and see it from more than just his point of view, IYSWIM? He won't be back installed in front of the TV tomorrow or anything, we have a way to go, but if we both want the same things then surely that's a start? ANd then when we've sorted ourselves out we have DS1 to sort

had a long chat to his student mentor this morning after his chat with her yesterday - he could well have made a bad situation worse, but thankfully she seems very good at her job and seems to understand where he is in his mind. I feel better for talking to her!

Have collected my electric guitar, though I am probably not going to give it to DS1 until his birthday as it's only next week, and he can't be getting used to getting expensive stuff (even if it was free, it would have cost a lot if I'd bought it - there is some logic there!) all the time.

Cleaned out the shed this morning and found loads of seeds. Bugger. Never mind! Will pass on my spares to Dsis for her allotment.

Hair appointment later - fingers crossed DH gets out of the hospital in time to collect baggins 15 minutes earlier than we agreed...

have a great day everyone

FairyFay · 30/03/2010 19:27

31 weeks already? [thud] - look after yourself

Ria, it sounds like you are handling this really well, sending
