oops, didn't notice the thread was getting too big!

PMSL at the Burn's night smilies; I thought they were wearing earphones.

not sure I agree with them; as a proud Scot, I hate all that fucking tacky tartan crap that we get labelled with, tartan tammies and fake ginger hair more than most

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2010 22:07

oops, I posted that before refreshing. As long as things are sorted out Jammy and you can see your brother.

Sorry about the cat as well; sounds worrying

Ours is better, but still being a bit erratic on the behaviour front. She weed on some laundry today, but I think that it was my fault as she had been mithering at me and I ignored her.

and our gerbil died last night too so the kids are a bit upset (even though he was almost 3.5 years old so ancient in gerbil terms). He is getting an Egyptian funeral tomorrow....wrapped in some loo roll, then in a loo roll tube (his favourite thing to chew on) with some of his toys, a bit of carrot and some sunflower seeds for the afterlife, lol. DS1's idea as they have been doing Ancient Egypt at school! Bless

CharlottesClan · 26/02/2010 22:28

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2010 22:47

I'm glad I can be of help jammy

CC, I have a FB friend suggestion of your name, but without the maiden name in the middle. Have you got another FB account? there is no photograph and it made me confused (not hard these days, lol)

Glad Dh is feeling better; hopefully you can get a bit of rest now!

OP posts:
CharlottesClan · 26/02/2010 23:13

HA rest! no chance.
i wonder if charlie will ever sleep thru for more then one night in a month..

i have two accounts. i use one for farmville as i need one more person to expand my farm.

i NEED to move, i cant swing a cat and its driving me nuts. not that i would want too, poor pussy.

LittleMissNorty · 27/02/2010 09:18

[gein] at funeral.....great.

Can't you drive down Daisy and stay out of London and train it in? DS1 would love the natural history musuem....its fab. Can't wait until my two are old enough for all that.

Its also one of the cheap attractions (think its still free?) as opposed to where I went yesterday.....but it is many years since I done the London Attractions so I suppose prices have gone up.....cost me £4 for a tube journey.....last time I went on a tube it was £1.10 a hit!

Poor bumble Daisy.....hope he had a good nights sleep after all that screaming.

Glad DH is getting better Natty.

Right, better get going.....more rugby on this afternoon so DD and I are off out shopping!

JammyQueenOfTheCasualties · 27/02/2010 12:54

Bless my nephew!!! Jammyrella shall go to the ball! He has offered to come and get me and bring me home tomorrow!! So we went looking at cars this morning - didn't see anything we wanted, but gave us some ideas - and DH and Jamlet will stay home while have an overnighter in Norwich Will miss the 1st half of the party, but better late than never and the cake will get there too In the meantime DH is looking for v cheap (~£500) old cars that might do for a while.

Riapwhatyousow · 27/02/2010 16:54

yay jammy

at funeral.

Jammyrella · 28/02/2010 16:40

Mum, Dad, and the family all seemed really pleased i was there. Party was lovely, lots of trips down memory lane. Now on last leg of journry home by coach, tube and train.

LittleMissNorty · 28/02/2010 17:50

Glad it was good Jammy

I've now got E's D&V bug and feeling quite sorry for myself

Jammyrella · 28/02/2010 20:36

Sorry norty, hope it doesn't last long.

Bugs bugs go away,
don't come again another day,
we're all sick of feeling this way!

Riapwhatyousow · 28/02/2010 21:21

jammy

norty

went out kite flying on the cliff top with Dsis and her kids this afternoon (in the car park, not near the edge of the cliff), and it was chuffing freezing (as is the east coast in winter), then tea and biscuits with mum and dad. Then after Dsis left my mum cut the kids nails (they won't let me do it!!!)

having a glass of wine (or 3) now, and reading a Carole Matthews novel Dsis lent me. Happy days. (and in complere denial of my weight watchers plans, or the food diary I have to take to the nurse tomorrow

LackaDAISYcal · 28/02/2010 22:45

poor you norty; D&V is just the worst illness (after dodgy gallbladders that is!!)

Glad you got to the ball jammyrella and hope you can recover tomorrow, or are you working?

bumble has eaten us out of house and home tonight and drained about 2lbs in weight off me I reckon with his constant BFing! He wouldn't go to sleep and eventually settled after feeding for another 20 minutes (on top of his usual 10), eating a banana and then draining in one go 200ml of cows milk . I am fully expecting his toes to be peeping out of the babygro tomorrow morning!!

actually on that note, does anyone have any 18-36 mo grobags they want to sell to me? He is getting a bit long for his 18 month ones!

justbeme · 28/02/2010 22:58

Poor Norty - I dread any of us getting that bug.
Did my first Mumsnet meetup last week, 4 of us had a meal and it went well. From my antenatal thread.

Glad you had a nice time Jammy, but the journey home seems a bit of a chore!

CharlottesClan · 01/03/2010 10:26

aw norty sorry to hear you are poorly. we had that bug the week michael was in hospital.
all three of us at it, and charlie looking on most amused by the strange sounds we were all making!

daisy there are cheap 18-24 mo grobags on the classifieds on CNT?

michael had his staples out this morning, and ellen is back at creche, thomas at school

never thought i would say this but

I LOVE MONDAYS!

LittleMissNorty · 01/03/2010 11:54

Thanks ladies....feeling much better this morning so hopefully just a 24 hour thing...fingers crossed no-one else gets it...it is very miserable.

Took E into bed with me at 5am to get some extra sleep adnd whilst mucking about, he headbutted me, square on the nose....and gave me a nose bleed and a very sore head. Bloody children.....DD was never like this!

I was thinking about new bags as well Daisy.....but when DD outgrew hers, I put her into a cot duvet.....but am in two minds whether to do it for DS as he seems so little. Made life a lot easier when she went into a big bed as well.

Glad DH is getting better Natty, and DCs are back at school. MY "week off" last week amounted to 2 days, both of which I had to change plans cos people were ill - so I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

Hey JBM - how are you doing? Meet-up sounds nice.

LittleMissNorty · 01/03/2010 11:55

btw Ria - my DD won't let me cut her nails either.....she has HUGE tantrums about it!

Jammyrella · 01/03/2010 12:22

Daisy, we have 18-36 grobags, but I just got DH to put them in the loft, and dare not ask him to get them out just yet! Anyway, you never know we might need them again in the future (NO, nothing happening but it's not been ruled out!)

Ria - I read your post that your Mum & Dad won't let you cut the boys' nails . I am very lucky in that Charlotte doesn't bother when I do hers (at least not so far)

Ouch about your noseblood norty!

trace2 · 01/03/2010 15:49

hi everyone!! sorry a few have been ill

well dd had her scan today looks like a boy but every thing looks ok thank god!!!

LittleMissNorty · 01/03/2010 16:08

Great news Trace.....its going really quickly...you must be really excited!

DD is so funny with difficult words atm....she has a doll called Emily but try as she might, can only say Emmarelly and ollylop is the other thing she cannot manage - other things - often more difficult - don't seem to cause a problem ....DH reckons its because she is left handed....but that's bollocks (I'm left handed).

nose is still bleeding on and off

What a lovely day out there Is Spring finally on its way?

Sputnik · 01/03/2010 16:39

Good news Trace
Daisy, I have 2 18-36 month grobags, one is 2.5 togs organic cotton and in fairly good nick, the other is 1 tog and has a coffee stain on the inside but I think is ok from the outside. I also have a 0.5 tog one but I think that has a few bloodstains from DS's frequent nosebleed stage so you probably won't fancy it!
I was going to put them on ebay so we can check market value if you like.

Jammyrella · 01/03/2010 18:09

The jamkit not only has IBS and diabetes, she is now in kidney failure Treatment may be possible for the kidney disease, but it will probably make the IBS worse as it will change her diet, and may not give her that much longer anyway. Plus even if we get kidneys sorted there is still diabetes, so all in all we have decided not to treat, and just enjoy our last bit of time with her, and then take her back to the vet to say goodbye when she starts getting sick. Not sure how long that might be. Vet said not long, but not sure if days or weeks

LittleMissNorty · 01/03/2010 19:22

so sorry to hear that. FWIW I would do exactly the same.

Take plenty of pics

FairyFay · 01/03/2010 19:33
