Fi Your DS sounds like my DD (and pulas DD and all the other DCs 2 and older ) She used to be such a good eater and still is some days but she can be so fussy now and something that she loves one day will be pushed away the next time I make it. This morning she hasn't eaten anything for breakfast and we have a busy day so I know she will be hungry later on. R has eaten a weetabix with milk and yogurt though . Yesterday he was feeding and DD bought me a crust of some toast she had nicked off me and dropped it near Rs face. He unlatched and grabbed the toast and started chewing .

I went to see the GP yesterday about how I am feeling and he agreed that I didn't have PND but said my tiredness and blue moods could be part of the auto-immune problems I been having with my rash etc. I'm seeing the specialist in feb so hopefully they can give me some answers.

R is really moving now. He isn't interested in sitting anymore but crawls/shuffles around the room backwards and even pulled himself up to cruise along the couch.

He is also sleeping much better this week. 2 nights ago he went to bed at 6.30 and woke at 9.30 and had a feed and then woke at around 3 but I left him and next thing I knew it was 6.30 and he didn't wake till 8am I didn't know what to do with myself. Last night he woke at 2am (fed) and then 7. The great thing is even if I leave him crying for a bit DD hasn't woken up so them sharing a room has really worked out well.

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 09:08

meant to say llare mucho respecto for the running.. i confess i'm too lazy but i do the occasional dash when running late

how's the writing going? dandy on monday i started designing/writing a new crochet pattern for a hat for G and must say i'm finding it very therapeutic to get back into designing again. I might even start writing my neglected blog again..
flippin relieved to hear i'm not the only one.. woe betide me cutting ds's toast into soldiers when he suddenly changes his mind to triangles or his cucumber into batons not circles.. even though i ask him how & what he would like to eat there are still paddies
SinginHinny · 21/01/2010 09:27

Good morning ('tis Grumpy btw, just fancied a more cheerful nickname)

I'm just bookmarking, back later after I've been into work to request p/t hours

flippinegg · 21/01/2010 09:41

morning!

Fi - I feel your pain! We never know how DD1 wants her sandwches/toast cut - usually has to be triangles, but big or small? It's a minefield!

we're all still in our pjs, suppose we ought to get dressed at some point!

youngerthanspringtime · 21/01/2010 10:02

morning.
trying on a completely different outfit (name) today...

you like it?

youngerthanspringtime · 21/01/2010 10:05

'younger than springtime am iiiiii
gayer than laughter am iiiiii.... ladadadadeee ladada'

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 10:38

sorry febes just seen your post.. yes that's exactly how ds is atm! lol at the toast sorry you're feeling blue but at least you've not long to go till feb now & hopefully the specialist will know what to do.. great news the room sharing is working G is cruising along our sofa on her knees with the occasional wonky stand up shuffling with one foot and one knee

llareggub · 21/01/2010 10:43

Good luck with the part-time hours request grumpy or youngerthanspringtime if that is you!

I wrote a loooooooong post last night but got distracted with various things so it is now a bit behind the times. So, with one boy in pre-school and another upstairs asleep, I shall attempt to recap.

shaving no, very rarely get around to it. I have no shame and will even go swimming like that.

Food food is for fun until they're one...repeat!

Babbling lots of mamamamam and dadadadada and babababab and raspberries and many other strange noises. Very thankful as tongue-tie might have caused some problems in that area.

febes your GP sounds like he/she could be on to something. I'm glad that they are considering other problems and not just assuming that tired mother = PND, particularly when you are presenting with other symptoms. Good luck.

fi happy shopping trip indeed! Have the tops arrived yet?

pula DS1 hardly eats anything healthy at all. In fact he'll eat lots for breakfast but hardly a thing for the rest of the day unless it is cake or chocolate. TBH I know they are bad for him but he burns so much energy I figure he needs some sort of calorie intake! I just try and fill his plate regularly with healthy stuff and hope he'll eat properly soon.

My runnung please don't be too impressed! I am running v v v slowly and was pleased with my progress (1 and half miles) until someone told me what they do regularly. Was very demotivated. But I am really enjoying it and feel very exhilarated when I get back.

Ses woo hoo! A wedding! Have they set a date?

runningmonkey how are you feeling now? I did wonder if you were feeling down due to giving up breastfeeding. Perhaps something to do with a change in hormones?

Dandy any sign of the shoes? My DH drives me crazy with that sort of thing so I definitely empathise. He has an annoying habit of "tidying" but that involves piling things up out of sight behind chairs and in cupboards but never where they belong.

Momino my cup size is a lot smaller. In fact my cup size didn't change when my milk came in so maybe I'm an oddity?

Headless DS2 isn't sleeping well either. I feel your pain....

Blotted hello!

Phew. Off to give the boys the swine flu jab tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it and was a bit annoyed yesterday by one of my NCT friends. She really laid into to me for deciding to give the boys the jab. I was irritated because I have made no judgement about her decision not to give it; it is her decision. I just wish she wouldn't judge mine!

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 10:47

.. should have hit refresh.. fi waves to everyone else!

Blottedcopybook · 21/01/2010 10:57

Dandy Thank you! I had tonsillitis and ended up being rushed to hospital in an ambulance which was pretty grim but I'm better now thank you. Feel free to add me on facebook, I'm YS (you should be able to find me through the MN FB page)

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 11:05

llare after lots of surfing and choosing i just ordered my tops last night.. prob be next week before they arrive we made the decision to take G and ds for the sf jabs last week.. we got the letter about them in december and have been researching since.. they had them tuesday 2pm. ds moved while having it so his arm was a wee bit sore. neither have had any reaction to it at all.. just a wee bit more tired perhaps they had the pandermix one by glaxo s kline.

youngerthanspringtime · 21/01/2010 11:05

wish I were Grumpy. bet her baby's quieter than mine.

I think mine is teething as she's whinge-whinge-whingeing. we've just spent 20 min watching the laundry spin . She also screamed for 10 min whilst I was getting dd1&2 in their coats for the preschool/nursery run . i've just given her a bonus comfort BF which she seemed to appreciate.

I need to catch up on this thread a little so will come back lunchtime or tonight.

Hope everyone is happy.

llare, mammoth catch up post! impressed.
and blotted, was really when i saw your fb status. so glad you're ok.

llareggub · 21/01/2010 11:19

Younger I know who you are! Cross-referenced FB and bingo!

Fi so what did you order?

DS2 is having a mammoth nap, I don't know what to do with myself. I've cleaned downstairs, cleaned the disgusting highchair and am now sitting down with a cuppa. What a shame I'll have to wake him up for the school-run.

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 12:05

ah ha!

llare i'm on my phone so not sure if i can find the links.. pages take ages to load.. but will post links from laptop tonight if i can't now

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 12:13

oh and boobs.. still mammoth bf nork size here but hoping when we stop bf they'll get smaller or i'll be stuffed wrt treating myself to new pretty and attractive undies even with bravissimo being available..

HeadlessLadyH · 21/01/2010 13:14

Ah ha. I know who you are too younger!!!

Can I just copy and paste llares mammoth catch up post please?? And well done on the running. Keep at it and before you know it, you'llbe doing a mile and half in 15 minutes. I really recommend the couch to 5k ipod download ( if you haven't got it already). There is whole thread on here about it and I lurked on it for a while. I've not ran in ages and really need to start again as I do enjoy it. Hope the SF jabs go ok too llare.

I would name check but honestly, I would just be repeating everything llare said and bore you all. My sentiments are entirely the same everyone!!

Have managed to get to the gym again this morning and R is currently napping having had homemade fish pie for lunch .

runningmonkey · 21/01/2010 15:11

Afternoon all,

I know who you are younger, I did laugh at your FB status earlier, reminded me of A being entertained by me ironing.

llare thanks for asking how I am, I think that giving up bf has got something to do with it as well. I feel a lot better today as well. Well done on the running front too. I'm off for my first one tonight with another couple of Mums, am strangely looking forward to it. Hope the boys are ok after their jabs - A flinched but didn't cry at all with hers so it was pretty painless for me too

ses congrats to your DB and GF. I do love a good wedding, do you reckon we could hold an honorary virtual hen do? I have a dishy plumber coming around tomorrow morning to sort out our out of balance heating, can ask if he's available

Fi I'm also after a nosy at your shopping as am in dire need of some inspiration for new clothes.

well done on the gym and the home-cooking domestic goddessery ladyh

febes · 21/01/2010 15:39

Loving the new names ladies!

llare IKWYM about DS having a long nap and not knowing what to do. R napped for about 3 hours on Sunday and I was restless as he's never done that before. I'm glad you mentions your highchair. I have booster seats and they are so gross. I must scrub the dried on weetabix and other concrete food off .
Also I have your goulash bubbling on the stove as we speak and it looks and smells so good. I didn't have caraway seeds do you think it will matter??? I'll give a full report tonight. I love food that goes with natural yogurt. Yum.

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 16:07

ok.. have found the right tops i think.. can't do flash players on my phone so can't see the pictures!

top #1
top #2
top #3
top #4

i was doing my very best to not buy black and plain normal long sleeved t-shirts.. still on phone but will check links later!

HtheH · 21/01/2010 18:17

Can I rejoin the group?! I have been gone for 8 months, but feel now I would quite like to come back, if you will have me. I haven't got time to read all your threads, so will start from scratch here. Hope you are all well and the babies are all doing well. Who is still around?
Monty is amazing and am loving being a mummy. Not sure if any of you remember how anxious I was during pregnancy because of previous mcs and difficulty ttc, but it was all worth it and can't believe how lucky I am. It has certainly put a strain on relationship with dh, as well as bringing us closer in so many ways. BUt overall it is brilliant. I am tired though!
xxxx

llareggub · 21/01/2010 18:46

Of course you can come back! Welcome back, good to "see" you.

Fi I do like those tops.

FiByTheIcySea · 21/01/2010 19:04

welcome back HtheH glad to hear m is a delight tiredness.. yep some days are exhausting but oh so worth it. don't worry we generally run at a slightly slower pace threads wise these days..

youngerthanspringtime · 21/01/2010 20:33

just logging on to catch up (should be tidying up the disaster that happened in the kitchen at suppertime, but...).

just to namecheck a few:
febes, glad it isn't PND but hope the specialist can help you in feb.

Fi, i like the tops, as well, especially the scoopneck one.

HtheH, great to have you back. I'm momino with a new name, remember me? glad you and Monty are well.

llare, very about your cleaning upstairs, downstairs THEN having a cuppa. I'm afraid to go downstairs right now, but must. I'm just too tired. and this bed is so comfortable. and virtual socialising is so addictive much more fun than cleaning.

just got a call that dh will be home tonight so going to run. have to tidy up, put supper in t'oven, take a shower (never any time in the morning).

sorry not to mention everyone but you know i care .

llareggub · 21/01/2010 20:33

Have a look at this. The chap doing it is someone I used to babysit!

youngerthanspringtime · 21/01/2010 20:39

he's mad llare! it's quite calming to watch, though, I may go back to it later .

ok, off to clean (yeah, right).
