Great news 50ft. Now you have something to really get your teeth into.

Star can you not book Q in to start in August? Surely the CM will be able to save him a place?

Myjob Its good that you are feeling better.
Rachie. Shoes are the bain of my life. Fussy children and skinny ankles make for very difficult school shoe shopping.

Pistachio step away from the cake
Not much to say today. Except it is pouring with rain.

haha pepper! bless your dh! At least he was honest about it!
When I leave Q with DH for a meal, Q always ends up somehow "finding" biscuits or sweets of some sort (of DH's) and as a result, eats even less real food than he would normally (which is not a lot!)

StarExpat · 16/01/2010 21:04

myjob - I only trust certain people
When we came to yours I brought his food because I always feel like I'm putting people out if I don't bring food for him - especially since he spits food out or rejects it so often - I'd be so if someone put a lot of effort into cooking just for him to turn his nose up at it! You did insist that I eat, though and made you and I lunch, which was very lovely

StarExpat · 16/01/2010 21:07

Sorry - I'm behind.
Congrats to 50ft and to pistachio

Ronshar - is it easier to find shoes for fat feet as they get bigger? I don't see Q's getting any thinner... And she says August is still a bit far away as well at this point. I'll just keep pestering in touch with her and request a place for mid august in april or may...

Pepper that is exactly the kind of thing that DH would do. W has become used to dragging daddy into the kitchen when he is hungry!

Star it is ok to be concerned about what your child is eating. Dont think of it as a weakness.

StarExpat · 16/01/2010 21:18

yummy yummy wagamama!! I'm totally craving that now!

blick, sorry - that last sentence sounded a bit to... um, American. I do try to tone it down

Haha ronshar! That is too funny that he drags him to the kitchen Q just walks over to the kitchen, points in and nods while saying something utterly brilliant in uggle buggle

pepperrabbit · 16/01/2010 21:21

I've been there on a course pistachio! A bank course, so less fundamental to the human need though.
Twas ok as I recall....

StarExpat · 16/01/2010 21:23

48 minutes by car or so it says
Nearer the time, if you think you'll have a bit of time maybe for a glass of wine or lunch or dinner or cake , I'd love to be able to meet up!

Fun!!! csws I bet that's not far from you, either - right? Unless my geography is really horrible (it usually is here - I have difficulty locating all the shires near london... but I know where surrey and kent are. I think Essex is far away to the east or something like that?)
Yay! excited I get to meet pistachio!

StarExpat · 16/01/2010 21:53

I'm going to bed. Getting migraines again 5th one in the past 8 days I had none during pregnancy and bf. And none for the 3 months after that... this blows. I used to get them frequently. I had forgotten how horrible they are.
Imigran is 7 pounds for 2 measly pills!

Honeymoonmummy · 16/01/2010 22:17

Hey all, sorry I've not been on recently. Mmm Wagamama, what did you give your LO's Pistachio?

I'm still on my diet, I managed to lose 3 lbs in 1 minute today cos I tried my new scales and they're 3 lbs lower!

I got a suitcase of old clothes out the loft last week and a lot of them fit me LOVE it when that happens!!!

Hope everyone is OK. Is there a meet-up arranged now?

ronshar · 16/01/2010 22:26

OOOOOO I can drive there in 2 hours. Even less if I stay at my sisters near Watford.

Well done HMM. How is work? Getting easier?

Star. Thats shit. Migraine I mean.
W has developed a serious Humzinger habit. He comes back from the kitchen with a handful making a very cute noise that I interpret as " if I give you loads, you will give me back at least one" I always get a very cheeky grin at the same time

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/01/2010 22:28

Clearly you need to get pregnant again then star, and bf for years like some of us. Worth it as migraine relief surely .

39 mins from me to Chesham apparently. Quite doable . Although I will of course have an ickle baby to manage in September too .

I love almond flavoured cakes. Although I'm not a fan of glace cherries - waste of the most delicious fruit IMO!

Anyone else watching the 2 dance programmes that started recently? I'm really enjoying them, and entirely agreed with who left tonight.

Are you suggesting that my precious third born child won't be in a solid routine, going to bed at 7 and sleeping for 12 hours by the time it is 3 weeks old pistachio? How very dare you?!

HMM - next meetup is 7th Feb at ronshar's I believe.

Fantastic 50ft! My childminder is doing the NCT breastfeeding counsellor course. Is that the one you'll be doing? She said it's a lot of work but really interesting.

Great news about the CM Star. I paid mine a non-refundable retainer around July for a January start. Could you suggest that to her?

Rachie - I've just realised that I didn't answer your question about school. It's going well now. My job share partner is great and very experienced, much more than me. I think it took the children a while to get used to having two teachers but now that they're more settled, things are much easier.

50ft - You'll be pleased to know I'm now the proud owner of some new make-up. Without fluff in it. I may even go and get my eyebrows threaded tomorrow to go with the new look.

I'm full of cold again. Off to bed.

Honeymoonmummy · 16/01/2010 22:52

IS the 7th Feb a definite? Where are you exactly ROnshar?

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/01/2010 23:05

about as far away from you as she could be hmm! Near brighton. Think exact address is on secret santa thread on fb.

OP posts:
ronshar · 16/01/2010 23:09

HMM I am at the bottom of the country. At the end of the A24. And just off the A27. Near to Brighton. If that means anything to you.

It takes about 1.45 to drive from London to here. So I couldnt be further from you really. But it would be fab to see you and P.

Ladies what should I have prepared in the way of food for you all. Star will obviously have a bag of food with her ready to eat.
I dont do lentils, just to warn you Actually what am I talking about. I will just get DH to sort it all out.

ronshar · 16/01/2010 23:30

I have just seen a thread in the allergies section about an eatstudy. It is trying to research the link between late weaning and increase in food allergies. As I am crap at doing links if you are interested then look in active convos.
CSWS they are looking for volunteers. Not sure if it is something you would consider doing?
