Happy 2010 everyone! Cast your mind back to this time last year... [soppy]

Too much wine - excuse for thread title should it be shite rubbish when I read it tomorrow. Thought it was time to wave goodbye to the festive one, although perhaps we should have waited for epiphany?

Dog, sending your Ps lots of positive vibes x

PatTheHammer · 05/02/2010 21:35

Dog- Yooooooooooo-hoooooooooooo, you about????????????? Bit of a spanner in the works re meet-up, can still go ahead as planned it is just my mum will be staying on till the weekend instead of going home with DB and DSIL on the thursday . Sooooooooo, do you think you can sleep in a double bed with B and A or do you want me to borrow a ready-bed for one of them???? (the reason I ask is that DD will be on our ready-bed in her room with my mum in her bed)

Tink- you sound like my friend, she had awful IBS and stress related bowel stuff and she went on a whole-food diet in the end and it sorted it out she does eat treats and stuff now but avoids refined sugars in white bread and pasta etc. Worth a think??? I know the whole thing sucks anyway and wont help your depression.

EPPM- Yay to crawling and standing. Tis friday the meet, I think. You about??

Books- to be without a car or does it just feel like the last link severed???

Sooooooooooooo, got to work today and approx 15 mins later nursery phoned me to say DS had a temp and could I come and collect him, Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh.

This.has.not.been.our.week

anyway, he was fine after calpol and 2.5 hour sleep, he is just teething as far as I can see but may take him back to docs on monday. I frigging live there at the moment!!!!!!!!

Also, Lenni and HZ. You have inspired me to make the very brave decision to look into starting my masters, I am hoping to start soon and get it done whilst still part-time so watch this space! Plus I will probably need lots of help and advice!

Yay to doing your Masters Pat - more than happy to help at all, I'm thinking of doing my PhD - am teaching some undergrads next week

hackneyzoo · 06/02/2010 14:50

Still haven't caught up...but just had a lovely morning with 120 and just wanted to say thank you so much for your beautiful card, even thinking about it is making me weep. It means so much to me to have your support and friendship and to know you are all thinking of Jude, you are a very special bunch of mummies. I really am completed touched by your kindness (I'm a jibbering wreck again, will post when I have stopped crying!)

120 · 06/02/2010 16:38

just this once I'm going to allow myself a

PatTheHammer · 06/02/2010 18:07

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Thats it, i have officially decided that we should all move to an island and start a mumsnet january 09 commune! Now Me, HZ, Lenni and gumps can teach the DC's, Tree can deliver any new ones that come along, 120 and moose can be in charge of cooking and baking and, and, and, and.................................................... add your role below.

i think between us with all our various talents and gifts we would do pretty well!

However, back in real-life it has been a hard day. Took DD to the cinema this morning for the first time to see the 'princess and the frog' she loved it, so why has she been a complete cowbag to me since????

On a more positive note i am off on a girls night out in a bit

120 · 06/02/2010 18:14

nice big vodka tonic... small vat of wine...you'll be fine!

PatTheHammer · 06/02/2010 18:40

Think the voddies are in order! better go easy though as am off round a friends for lunch tomorrow to coo over their new baby, do NOT want to intoxicate him with my breath......

Now is DH giving them a bath or torturing them downstairs, sheesh!

120 · 06/02/2010 22:55

where is everyone?

Paaaat have done you a monkey... you can see him in the painting album here, second from last picture.

HZ... there is a sketch for you too (last picture) if the likeness works for you. Am happy to do what I offered today too, just had already started on this series last week and thought it a shame not to finish it.

Sorry, had no chance to catch up; was painting all evening!

moosemama · 06/02/2010 23:03

Hi 120, I am here.

Typical, dh is away for the weekend, I'm sat here on my own stuffing chocolates and there's no-one home on here either.

I love your paintings, they are really beautiful. You are a very talented lady.

Lenni · 06/02/2010 23:10

I am here - doing DH's VAT return though so not really meant to be here

moosemama · 06/02/2010 23:16

Hi Lenni

I should really go to bed, I'm so exhausted after a week of dd teething and not sleeping, but I never sleep when dh isn't home. Some sort of weird Mummy protection thing makes me keep myself awake. I usually fall asleep from exhaustion just as the boys wake up in the morning.

Lenni · 07/02/2010 00:03

I do the exact same thing when DH isn't here. And I wake in the night constantly too, it is a protective thing I'm sure.

moosemama · 07/02/2010 00:08

Yep, feels that way. I'm hypervigilant when he's not here, despite having three dogs in the house. Daft really.

Have opted for sitting up in bed searching the net for ideas for the boys' birthday parties until I get too tired to cope.

120 · 07/02/2010 07:46

I'm exactly the same when DP is away. Masochistic gene perchance? I went to bed after I posted as was sooo tired.

Thanks Moosey, glad you like them.

tinksbabyis1 · 07/02/2010 09:45

PatTheHammer · 07/02/2010 10:07

Ahhhhhhhhhh, 120, I LOVE HIM!!!!!!

I am so that it makes up for my big headache this morning.

How much do you want for him?? Actually, i will message you on fb later!

good selling tink!

hope you got some sleep moose and Lenni.

Funny night out, good meal, should do it more often really but I spent lots of money i didn't really have. cannot believe the price of drinks in some places [old-fart emoticon]

hackneyzoo · 07/02/2010 10:28

120, love the painting...looks very like J....will try and hunt out a decent photo, I have a nice one on my phone...just need to work out how to get it off my phone!

moosemama · 07/02/2010 12:20

Finally decided to try and get some sleep at 3.30 am. Am suffering for it today and the boys have decided their hobby du jour is trying to kill each other.

Fortunately, dh decided to get home as early as possible and walked through the door half an hour ago. So I have escaped with the laptop and a cup of coffee for half an hour.

Need to find some more stuff for ds1's secret agent party. Have found literally tonnes of stuff for ds2's pirate party, but secret agent stuff seems to be either a bit lame or very generic.

We havea sort of computer set up in the dump room, so am perched between lots of crap bikes etc catching up.

So how is Jude doing? Thinking of you every day HKZ.

Got nappy Lenni! Thank you, and thank you for lends of a new type. What do you recommend it for? What wrap you suggest?

Books - you must have been so scared. I'd be nervous too, no one would blame you for sitting and just looking at her all night. Steamy room good plan.

Parties, sales, masters and all the news. All good.

Dog- hope all is well.

Busy here, though nothing exciting. H running temps and up all night snotting all over my White Comapny bedding . Be back soon. x

treedelivery · 07/02/2010 15:59
