I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. I look forward to more meetups, more FBing, more Skyping, more Waving, more crazy tales, more laughter, more hand holding, and more support than is humanly possible! XOX

oops, how is DH feeling this morning? I know its upsetting about DD not feeding but at some point you're going to have to decide whether or not you're going to co-feed [meep] or just feed Hector. If it is to be the latter then maybe P easing herself off the boob is no bad thing, if you left it too close to Hector arriving it might be rather difficult? just boobyfood for thought

I'm also not sure how I would have managed to bf with the huge bumps that I always ended up with - I'd probably just have thrown a boob over a shoulder and strapped her into the back carrier

oopsandbabycoconut · 03/01/2010 08:46

Dizzy - I wasn't planning on tandem feeding and I knew I was going to have to wean her but I thought ater our hols but if she has decided to give up without a fight I should be thankful. I have managed for this long with no problems and I am not having to endure the crying and upset that would go with having to refuse. And if my current bump is anything to go by I am having a Dizzy sized whopper this time

oopsandbabycoconut · 03/01/2010 08:48

As for DH - I have no idea he is still sleeping.

DD just came up and said 'boop' I offered she stood there too 2 sucks said 'funk you' and walked off , she has been reading my posts.

dizzycringles · 03/01/2010 08:53

oh bless her I fully understand why keeping going over your holiday may be easier though - when do you go again my dcousin is out there just now and I'm about weeping over her photos - she is young, slim, rich and carefree though so you can imagine how I have some notso deeprooted longing for the lifestyle

oopsandbabycoconut · 03/01/2010 08:58

We go 2 weeks tomorrow and I remember our last beach holiday - I had just lost loads of weight, carefree, lying by the pool, out to brekkie, lunch and dinner at winery's, not getting up until 11am then staying out to 1am with friends. aaahhh how 2 years changes things! I am looking forward to the sun and have this very morning secured us a beach house on the whitest beach in the world ( and I checked their claims in theGuiness (sp?) Book of records!!) for 4 days 100yds from the beach. I am now excited!

dizzycringles · 03/01/2010 09:05

sounds absolutely wonderful am sure P will be an absolute delight and barring any more manflu illness and sure DH will too

right off to feed the moaning troops, sheesh, you would think that by the ripe old age of 6yrs DD1 could work out how to give them all brekker and clear up afterwards

haven't decided if we're going through to relatives far side of Glasgow today, DH only got in at 8am and if we leave it later than 12pm to go there is no point really. We've no money for petrol, the snow is still lying and the house is an utter disaster on the other hand it would be nice to see them and the kids have cabin fever so at least they could destroy visit my aunts house instead of this one - ah decisions, decisions, decisions - shall mull it over and let you know as I'm SURE you're all gripped by the excitement of a day in the life of the Dizzy's!!

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 03/01/2010 10:00

Remember me? Just marking my place so I don't lose you all.

Frosty and white rooftops here, heating blasting, snotty child, I feel a mooching around the house day is in order.

steaknife · 03/01/2010 10:02
PoinsettiaBouquets · 03/01/2010 10:50

Dizzy Did you go? Bet you did, I wouldn't have!.

Wotcha Steaky, I too a-mooching, still in dressing gown. DH promised he would take DD swimming by herself but we're hoping she's forgotten. I have a hankering to potter round Winchester in the sunshine but suppose everything will be shut.

Must change name.

GladioliBuckets · 03/01/2010 10:55

Voila

lwfhthevampireslayer · 03/01/2010 11:01

DH and DS watching the pope on TV. DD has hiccups.

Must tidy

Yawn.

dizzycringles · 03/01/2010 11:06

gladioliBuckets - no I haven't gone, not yet anyway and as I'm letting DH sleep on, there is a pot of soup cooking on the stove and have just put D down for a nap I think I'm hedging towards not going loving the cheery new name must go and change mine too

longway I wish I was closer, the same country would be a start, so I could help, let you have a nap, sniffnewbaby or even bring you some soup

have just weighed myself so am off to hotmamas for a berating [meep]

dixies · 03/01/2010 11:08

gosh, thats you and Hots mentioned that, I never though am sure you could still call me dizz, I would always answer to it but I shall change back over to save any confusion or sense of loss

GladioliBuckets · 03/01/2010 11:52

Heheh Dizzy Dexy's .

One of DH's band have just sent over an amazing new song for approval, it's v Manic Street Preachers and I have just gone through it twice singing into my hairbrush along to it at Kurt. It's times like these I get V [green] of the singer in their band. When DH gets back from shops I will see if he's up for the two of us recording our own version for fun.

GladioliBuckets · 03/01/2010 11:53

Longway is there a Vatican channel? If not, why not?

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bring back Dizzy

Sazz our decs are going down once DD is in bed - I started taking them down and she said 'no,no,no boobles tree, no mummy' So I guess all those days of saying 'No, the Baubles stay onthe tree' has stuck but now they need to come off!

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 12:32

back by popular demand

am listing stuff on ebay, snore, double buggy and some concert tickets going on to try to raise some badlyneeded cash

TwilightSurfer · 03/01/2010 13:02

Dizzy I should take a cue from you and start listing some stuff on ebay.

I spent the evening working on the year's budget and I'm baffled at all the holes in our pockets. Did I mention that DH spent over $500US on CARWASHES last year. He thinks nothing of it. I see it has two old windows replaced with more energy efficient ones that SAVE MONEY on our electric bill.

Reese is refusing all liquids that aren't juice. This is getting old fast. She needs water to stay hydrated in this house of blown heat that sucks every last drop of moisture from you skin.

Dizzy I've used Nivea in the past but it's a little too greasy for me. I realize that's probably want makes it work but still.

What other moisture products are being used here on the thread?

ALBS I haven't commented on your fb status but Reese is going through a similar bedtime craziness. Sometimes now I'm having to hold her (or DH holds her) until she falls asleep. On nights when she's not overly fussy (or screaming) I'll let her work it out in her bed. My thought is she's playing harder now so it's taking more time for her to find her restful self.

Tummy's rumbling.

Sazzles thanks for the link. Truly I searched the talk topics and couldn't find that topic. Thought is was odd that MN changed but maybe it didn't and I just need to spectacles. Might not bore the Mamas with my running goal though. Will think on it.

DH is snoring here next to me. We are due a conversation. I'm having a very hard time dealing with my anger. He's choosing to continue to do and eat as he's always done when he clearly needs to MAKE A CHANGE. He weighs more now than he has in entire life. He appears to be sad about the way he's dressed. He "says" he wants to loose weight but then goes and orders fried chicken. Back to my problem, I am not dealing with it well and need some anger management session I believe.

TS

I used a No7 brand from Boots the chemist on my face and nivea soft for EVERYTHING else!! I'm afraid I'm a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to this as I don't see the point in changing something that works - I nearly had palpitations changing over to No7 for my face but I'm terribly subject to avertising campaigns promising to keep me looking young

and be gentle with your DH, it sounds like he is stuck in the comfort eating cycle I am

cyteen · 03/01/2010 13:27

I use Lush Enzymion on my face, it's great for mopping up grease and keeping the dry bits smooth. On the bod I use any of the Lush body moisturisers, with their Pied de Pepper to keep my feet sweet.

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 14:37

cyteen I can't go into Lush since I was pregnant with DD1 and had horrific morning sickness, just walking past made me ill

all the stuff sounds lovely though

cyteen · 03/01/2010 18:07

You can order online y'know dizzy
