I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. I look forward to more meetups, more FBing, more Skyping, more Waving, more crazy tales, more laughter, more hand holding, and more support than is humanly possible! XOX

buckets L is allowed to keep J as a friend yes {grin]?

ts Moshi is fab! take a look at yourself (tis easier than explaining). Dd know she is not allowed to go on any forums etc and I periodically check her friends and messages. am pretty chilled about who she befriends as she knows she is not allowed to talk real names/addresses etc unless we really know the people.

is K goes on ts fb me too as J will happily be her friend. she'll LOOOOVE having an American REAL friend!

had a lovely lie in this morn then went out with my book for brekker. ds asleep, dd in front of the tv , dh de-icing the church path...... washing machine going. all as it should be .

miamla are you bieng sick a lot (other than feeling sick?). I was sick from about 5 weeks til after ds was born , but with dd it stopped at 20 weeks. I know I am an anomaly though as most people stop at 13 ish week. that is one of the (many) factors in not more mini albs's

am using google chrome instead of explorer at the mo and am alarmed by the number of red squiggles under my words - ah well, maybe less comical typos....

DP keeps forgetting and offering me tea, chrstmas cake, crisps etc etc

GladioliBuckets · 09/01/2010 17:24

Hoping for a bit of attention from DH tonight as he has been v productive writing and recording music this week and I am . Apparently I have to sing on something tonight so hopefully that will involve some beer and fun and just doing something together for once.

Albs Does J play cards? L got some educ ational ones (British monarchs LOL) for Xmas and I have taught her a game (I forget what it's called.) We've had some nice bonding best-of-threes at bedtimes lately. Must teach her clock patience so she can leave me in peace entertain herself.

Hmm am sitting at computer next to 3 children shrieking, bouncing and wrestling on a single bed. Thought I'd better camp here til it ends in tears, right about.....now.

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 18:35

there are 9 people watching my double buggy on ebay I love that pram but even if I did have another baby D wouldn't need to go in a buggy as it wouldn't be until next year and she'd be 3

well lets hope that one of them bids for it and starts a bidding war

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 18:49

Just had a text from one of our NCT group she had her DS (Theo) this afternoon by ECMS 2 weeks early. He is very sweet but have now realised I am next! I am going to have to go and sniff a new baby before we go away.

lovely news oops

alittlebitshy · 09/01/2010 19:39

whoah - how many weeks will that see you through dizz? sazz yay for night out! and well done on your community bit

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 19:40

I last shopped 10 days ago so we popped into Sainsburys earlier and it was mad - they put our tannoys saying there was now milk in store - cue mad rush to the fridges and 10 mins later - there is bread instore again a mad rush there was bread there to start with and there was milk but not huge bottles of it. The one thing they didn't have was alot of meat so we just popped ot the butcher and bought what we needed. People were piling shopping trolleys high and we got the last trolley when we arrived. Sazz you are a good neighbour.

DD went out with the ILs earlier - I changed her before they left and they were gone 2 hours ish. When they got in the car they rang to say couldthey take her to Costa for a drink so we said yes. In the background I could hear MIL saying 'ooh what a poo face' I asked it they wantedt o bring her back and FIL said no it wasn't poo just wind. When they arrived home DD had been sitting in poo for hours and it has burn her bottom and bits but also her legs where the elastic has rubbed up and down it took off al ayer of skin when I washed her . I couldn't figure out why she was so crochetty until I changed her. When I questioned why she hadn't been changed I got well we were in costa and I didn't smell anything! My poor girl has gone to bed in nappy and longsleeved top as she can't put her legs together and her pj bottoms rub. Dosed her up with a bit of neurofen and hopefully she will be slightly betteri n the morning.

Steak, saute pots and baconand leeks for dinner here followed by appple and blackberry crumble. mmmmm

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 19:42

out not our - I don't own the tannoys

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 19:56

poor Poppy

ALBS not fecking long enough - we needed everything - cleaning stuff/toilet roll/ dog food/nappies/wipes/shampoo/deodorant/birthday cards & presents for 3 birthdays/de-icer & salt/ new toothbrushes for the girls as they were down to bristles / light bulbs and batteries so as you can imagine I had racked up a fecking fortune before I even reached the empty food cupboards

Miamla · 09/01/2010 20:27

DP watching simpsons so i hope some of you are going to be on here to entertain me!

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 20:30

Dh watching Strom Chasers here - aa load of crap!

Miamla · 09/01/2010 20:31

can't be as bad as simpsons! there's lots of giggling happening here

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 20:34

no giggleing here but loats of 'whoa, look at that!' why would I care about a load of blokes chasing tornados and trying to get into the middle of them

How you feeling tonight? Did you tell your bro?

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 20:36

oohh storm chasers (tis my secret guilty pleasure but in my defence I studied it at uni)

Chronicles of Narnia on here - Tilda swinton is divine

I let the girls watch Never Ending Story this afternoon and poor poor DD1 is now utterly traumatised re the horse that sinks [bad mother emoticon]

am sitting here doing my shift pattern AGAIN as she's emailed me once more saying that job share patterns have to be done over 60wk cycle and not 30wk as she had though - never know I might just get it sorted before 2011 [sigh]

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 20:38

Dizzy - that's shift until next year???? Do you have DH's for the same period? How do you organise hols etc??

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 20:41

Dizz - Deadliest catch is my secret guilty pleasure - I sky+ them all

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 20:41

I have DH's, I do not have mine as this woman is hopeless. in answer to your question we can't because I STILL don't know what I'm working so we can't apply for changes in his A/L to match mine

oh and as he's a polis he gets TOLD what leave he can take and when and we can only move it if someone wants a swap - most of the swaps have already been done so its unlikely that we'll get time off together this year

got to love the emergency services and the way they look after their employees welfare

Miamla · 09/01/2010 20:42

felt more sick today than i ever have but it seems to have eased off a bit tonight and no, haven't told bro. he's finished job now so pressure's off

dizz... i like it too

DP's got the name book out.. his most recent suggestion is Barnabus-Baggio (yup, double barrelled first name)

Miamla · 09/01/2010 20:43

that's awful about your shift patterns dizz

oopsandbabycoconut · 09/01/2010 20:46

hmmm Miamla - T and Barney not so sure about the Baggio and won't T be envious of his brother's (sister's)double barrled name

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 20:46

other than the Baggio its got potential

miamla, am sorry you're feeling sick, can you manage to eat little and often, even if its just a rich tea/digestive?

I remember being horribly sick with DD1 - I didn't mind as having had a M/C before I felt it meant at least this time things were going right but it was hell on earth- I could only manage to keep down beans on toast and lucozade and was crying on the MW saying I couldn't manage 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and obv was harming the baby she very kindly told me that baby would take what it needed and not to worry - it too would pass and it did

not sure if that helps make you feel any better at all but I hope you find your beans on toast and lucozade very soon
