I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. I look forward to more meetups, more FBing, more Skyping, more Waving, more crazy tales, more laughter, more hand holding, and more support than is humanly possible! XOX

me not broody either!!!!

sazz.. you are a bit further south than me.. this snow that is coming from 3pm.. presume thats tom.. and according to your weather reading will it be sweeping brum??? i have too being analsying the weather but am a bit of a muppet when it comes to these things

thanks ts for your hugs.. i'm kinda going to go with the flow this time around.. age is apparently on my side so will not worry until i have too!!

dizzydixies · 08/01/2010 14:09

was ok thanks Sazz, she was late, held up due to an accident on the road so the whole cunning plan of coming up to school/playgroup with DDs and then seeing D was knackered as by the time she was here DD1 was in school and DD2 in playgroup and D only fit for a nap

to be honest I could have done with the few hours peace and quiet to have a snooze after crappy night but we had a nice chat. She's paid up with her full time employer till the end of the month though, which I didn't know, so we need to see what days she can do for us until then - I don't see how I can ask her to work here for me when she's supposed to be full time somewhere else - still like her though and when L did come back she was very taken with her, esp as they ate scrambled eggs and cake together - big bonus in L's eyes are you know

loti there is no point in wasting energy worrying about something you cannot change, use that energy to think positive and positive things will come your way too - we'll all be doing it for you too and rubbing a touch of arnica here and there might not hurt in the meantime

oopsandbabycoconut · 08/01/2010 14:50

Yes she is indeed another DD, I woke up this morning so sure she was a girl and when the sonographer asked if we wanted to know I said no need it's a girl but you can check. Had to giggle though when he said 'ooh. no willy and friends here to play!' DH's face lit right up.

Miamla - Sickness is revolting isn't it and having to hide it is even worse!

Sazz - good news on the tickets - apparently we are all set for another huge dump on Sunday/Monday

LOTI - {{HUGS}} hope you get it sorted soon.

Dizzy - Have you had a nap/rest yet? DD and I had Cock-a-leekie in honour of you today .

oh yes, forgot to say sazz, great news! i'm so pleased you don't have to miss out! quite amazing customer service from the theatre, i'm mightily impressed

just phoned M&P re our pushchair. despite them having a 2 year after care policy, there's a £50 charge for fixing something that between 18mths and 2yrs old. the fuckers! i will of course be arguing my point and try and get away with not paying for it. seriously, a pushchair should last longer than this. i also have to drop it off at the store i bought it from so that'll be fun carting a pushchair into town on the tube in rush hour on monday

oops its especially hard at the moment because despite being at home, my brother's here doing some undecorating for us ie he's stripping wallpaper in the hall. Might have to tell him though, not sure how much longer i can keep quiet! Soooo excited for you, v of your scan but i know i just need to keep my fingers crossed and be patient

right girls, i'm going to post this in pregnancy [eek] as well but how would one go about preventing piles? My bum's only just been fixed after the last bout

cyteen · 08/01/2010 15:42

Lots of water and vigorous pelvic floors?

I bet you 10p at least one person says 'lay off the bumsex'

Miamla · 08/01/2010 15:46

vg 2 children, 4 dogs and a mum is more than enough to justify you barking at them!

oopsandbabycoconut · 08/01/2010 15:53

Miamla - have sent you a message on FB - I doubt the rest of the thread want the long lengthy bottom e-mail I got from my MW.

pertelote · 08/01/2010 15:54

Happy Birthday Sazzles! Glad all is not lost on the RAH front.

Fantastic news on the scan Oops and many congratulations on your lovely new daughter! Not even slightly broody here Just heard a RL friend is expecting in August too - very excited for her but still not a twinge....

Miamla sorry you're housebound. Can we help at all? I have ventured out today AND yesterday, sliding around like a - what's the phrase? - like a very slidy thing, anyway - but I have been SO WARM! Thank you

Miamla · 08/01/2010 16:11

oops v impressed that your mw emails!! my last one couldn't even cope with answering her mobile

pert thank you but we'll be fine, i'm just having a moan! glad you've been nice and warm

Miamla - I thought it was some kind of spam when it first arrived then noticed it addressed me specifically - I nearly fell off my dinosaur! She struggles with the in office computer so never thought I would see an e-mail with her name on it!

Ladies - can you give me some suggestions on doing the frankly lunatic journey with DD - we have 9 hours of Peppa pig and co on the netbook, crayons and notebook, humzingers a plenty, taking empty milk cups and the lounge will fill them for us. DD has a brand new 0.5 tog travel sleeping bad and jimjams to travel in. Carseats booked at both ends for transfers. flights are 6 hours then 12.45 hours

Miamla · 08/01/2010 16:32

i may be talking nonsense but DS seems to sleep better in things that smell familiar ie not brand new things or for that matter freshly washed things.. obviously takes after his father!

oopsandbabycoconut · 08/01/2010 16:58

New sleeping bag has been washed and is now under out sheet in bed .

TwilightSurfer · 08/01/2010 17:50

I agree with Miamla on the smell familiar sleep better idea. Reese has been in the same bed (with freshly changed sheets of course) since we brought her home from the hospital. It's the very same bed we've traveled with as well. I totally think that's helped her sleep.

I'm so tired today I can't see straight. I really wanted to be more involved with you all. Instead I'm going to go take a nap. Sorry.

CaptainCaveman · 08/01/2010 18:30

Sazz new car is great, been to work etc in it but not had the opportunity to give her a proper whirl yet!

Snowing heavily here again and has been for past hour I love it! especially when we're off work for the weekend

cyteen thats 2 bumsex references in 2 days She's right though miamla

CaptainCaveman · 08/01/2010 18:31

Might have one spare Sazz, O doesn't use them....let me have a look. when you thinking of buying ie today? tomorrow?

alittlebitshy · 08/01/2010 18:58

I couldn't remember which grobags were which togs as the labels had washed away. had to trawl through old email comfirmations to work it out. v dull.

I love the idea of travel ones but my children have never transferred from car to bed, so no point.

alittlebitshy · 08/01/2010 19:01
