I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. I look forward to more meetups, more FBing, more Skyping, more Waving, more crazy tales, more laughter, more hand holding, and more support than is humanly possible! XOX

Empire building ground to a halt this evening as I stayed up too late last night with my friend and then DD practised her yodelling from 4.30 till 5.30 this morning.

But today - spoke to income support lady and working tax credits man - all looking good from that point of view.
Went to see a friend of mine who is a CM and she will take DD 2 days a week from March - works out well for her too as she loses one of her mindees then too.
She just had her first ofstead inspection and got an outstanding - very pleased for her.

Also saw bumped into another friend and her DD who I enticed into mine for tea and cake - she had lots of good ideas including trousers for casts. So extra baggy trews with velcro sides, a friends of her's LO had just been in hospital with a leg cast and she had paid a fortune for special trousers.

So many ideas - did I forget to thank all you ladies for encouragement and ideas? THANK YOU!

i've got my fingers for you night out tom... we also have a night out/stay over planned.. a friend's 40th.. however it is down in Kent and the weather looks horrific for Sunday... DH obviously still very keen to go but i don't fancy getting stuck on the way back.. decisions decisions... what will probably happen as usual is that dh will go, enjoy himself and i will end up staying at home with the girls as i am such a worry wart ...

best of luck oops.. fingers crossed hector co-operates!

Happy Birthday sazzles! So sorry to hear your night on the town tomorrow is in jeopardy but hope 2 x charming, delightful, well-behaved and happy to sleep DDs and a fab pressie from Sainsbos make up somewhat for the effect of the shitey weather.

V. excited for you oops. Will check in later to see if there's news. P is indeed shaping up to be a marvellous big sis. DD1 is too and has provided heart-melting moments almost daily since I was pg. Now that DD2 reciprocates it is even more gorgeous. Won't continue forever but am hoping the longer it does the stronger the foundation for their relationship/friendship is.

Not my usual wish, but I actually hope there is a vast dumping of snow on your house this afternoon loti, meaning that your DH can't go to the party and that he has to stay behind and enjoy the weekend with you and the DDs.

DD1's first swimming lesson this morning. Dreading the freezingness of it for her.

Morning all.

No school again today but DH back to work by train (his car is still at his office from Tuesday!) I kept shtum last night in favour of non-steamroller-humble-wife-brownie-points - was too tipsy to trust myself to behave or sing straight anyway.

Kurt and DS1 are having a lovely time bouncing on beds and playing with Star Wars figures. DD is hovering trying to get on the computer as usual (have limited it to weekends and holidays so I guess that includes today.)

Steaky Baggy bummed elastic-waisted baby trousers for clothie bums are always in demand too. Girls are all right in leggings but it's hard to get nice boy ones. Plus weenotions.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=299nappies for Baby Born/Annabel. Have a look at the eco sanpro on there too (aka Fairy Hammocks bleurgh). Hope you have your dictating kit out Miss Knife - I am so [green] of you but I am so slapdash and messy with my handicrafts, this is why I bully you so.

Spoke far too soon about the gorgeous-ness of my girls together then. Sudden cry from DD2 while my back was turned. DD1 admitted to kicking her away because she 'wanted her to leave her alone' . DD1 may now be saved the freezingness of swimming. Or maybe it's just what she needs....

We have a couple of small ones from recent beach holidays which I am now very excited about trying out tomorrow. I suppose if you don't have a dinghy you could try a lilo

hots... be careful.... i speak with the voice of experience that you will literally fly down the hill!!!!! We 'found' a huge piece of plastic (like a big carrier bag), all clambered on and erm well it was an experience!! (this was in my carefree days at uni!)

Grr, tired, my own fault as didn't get to bed till midnight for third night in a row. Nothing at all productive done last night.

DD woke at 5.45 and couldn't be pursuaded back to sleep so I finally got up at 6.45. Just realised I turned my heating off instead of on when it clicked off the timer.

GB those doll nappies look a bit spooky - or at least the dolls do.

HP yes do be careful, it is the stopping that tends to be the most dangerous part! I recommend lots of padding, which will keep you all warm too.

baby news from me...

uni friend (who's got a DS same age as my DS) had another little boy yesterday so as soon as this snow clears up i'm off for a newborn snuggle and sniff

one of my cousin's text yesterday to say she's due 23/07 and wants some commonsense tips from me especially re MS. I pretended to not remember too clearly about the early weeks

and talking of MS....areurgh! I don't remember feeling as sicky as this with DS. Its all day at the moment but you know what, I wouldn't change a thing

I really should get the whole doctor/midwife ball rolling but i can't get to the doctor's at the moment. Can't drive because of icy roads. Can't push DS in pushchair because its broken (and still no bloody reply from M&P) and really really don't feel brave/crazy enough to carry him in a carrier up there. Guess I'll just have to wait....

had a bit of a 'pink smudge' the other day, pretty sure it was from implantation though so i'm not worrying just yet`

oops hope it all goes wonderfully today, thinking of you this morning
