I am so blessed to be part of this group. We are starting another year together, our 3rd but who's counting. May you each have a happy and healthy one. poor D has a dodgy tummy - she's on her 5th dirty nappy of the day and not one of them pleasant. As soon as I change it she has another one and there are now tears with it never mind when I'm changing her thanks goodness DH hopefully finishing at 5pm so can take a turn.

easy peasy cheesy pasta here for tea - pasta with pancetta/peas/parmasean & cream - DD1's request and as I happen to have all ingredients am happy to oblige rather than go to shops

Aww, poor little D It's grim all round when they have bad tummies, eh? DS had a touch of it on Monday and got so rashy he was wailing every time I came near him with a wipe.

Am I sad (or even AIBU) to be a bit bereft now that Bonsoir's mental thread about her stepsons has come to an end?

oh no has it? was it written off or did she relent to her lunacy?

Well my separation issues paid off today. Due to the impending weather I kept Reese home with me and decide to take K a warm lunch. As soon as I got to school with her lunch I walked into the office where they were discussing the dismissal time. In 20minutes that time went from 1 to 12. Since I was there already (11) I stayed and helped K's class with lunch. Texted all the mom's I knew with the news....it reached them before they got word from the school. Left school at 11:30 with an extra child. ALL GOOD! Some days it pays to be anal and overprotective.

Dizzy sorry D is under the weather. We've had our fair share of crap over the past few weeks. You have my sympathies.

thanks for being lovely re h's sleep and sorry dizzy for not replying on fb. We are cracking it - the ssshhing outside the door lasts minimal time now. maybe soon it will go back to normal. have ditched night feeds at the same time. he had been sleeping through for 2 months, so wasn't a regular thing, but for now dh is going into cuddle then ssshhh him instead of me and my boobs. sssh h i mean, not ssshh ma and my boobs .

Oh God, DH's bandmate is round and they are playing that brilliant new song I mentioned in the kitchen. The guy who wrote it has a TERRIBLE voice and I am ITCHING to go and muscle in. But I am such a steamroller re DH so I cannot be seen to be hovering, I think he would really resent it. FGS will you just come and ask me guys!

Dizzy Know exactly what you mean about kids' wardrobes. I'm looking around for v cheap or freecycled one for DD. It's all right for the boys, the longest thing they'll need to hang is a shirt.

Oh and boys are in together tonight. Was a bit at 7pm as Kurt was bouncing up and down in his cot in delight. So I sent DS1 to my bed for a bit and he's put himself back in now without prompting.

Buckets - the thing is its bloody brilliant, I've never seen one like it since - its a corner wardrobe with double rails to the back on the left and top to bottom shelving on right - stores TONNES, fits in their stupidly shaped room. Maybe I should just chop the legs off DD1 instead of changing furniture

mentioned my room swap scenario as inspired by yourself, to DH tonight and whilst he's not objecting per say, i think nothing will happen till these essays are past

pootling about doing nothing getting my knicker in a twist about tomorrow morning and ice and getting there and generally just freaking out but still excited. Which is wierd as I wasn't worried at all with DD I was excited.
