Hello! Hvae the house of runs and voms so can't stop. Went for the huge treee yesterday, got it home, and then we all lokked at each other and ran for the loo!!

Harriet is 16 pounds, so a little one Moose!

missjackson · 07/12/2009 16:44

Hi everyone.
What a shame about your Christmas trip Lenni... lovely that you are still going away though. Hope you have managed to plan something nice.

As for more babies, I thought you hadn't ruled another out? You could always wait a few years and then see how you feel. I guess you want to get on with your career - but never say never!

dog decorating tree with wine sounds great - we used to do that, a big bottle of champagne and nibbles, and funny xmas songs on the stereo. Not sure we will bother putting a tree up at home this year, as we will only be home for a week and mostly spending time at my mum's or the in-laws. So doesn't feel worth it. OH has a whole forest of xmas trees, so everyone gets a tree out of there! They are lovely... and free .

hkz your tree sounds just right - and that community dinner you talked about sounds lovely, what a fantastic idea. The kids must love it.

tree H is so diddy! I think N weighed that before he was 3 months old, although I forget. She must look so sweet. Oh I miss having a tiny cuddly baby...

Am super broody these days!

Lovely quiet weekend here...highlights included making mince pies and picking up a radio flyer trike for a fiver at a local school xmas fair! As good as new - and they are 90 quid new!!! N feeding lots in the night to make up for lack of daytime milk, but am surviving.

Waves to everyone.

120cmsOfSnow · 07/12/2009 16:56

Tree, we have runs here too. what is going on?

Am feeling really bad today as my DD asked me this morning 'Mummy, am I a little piece of work?'

tinkerbellstinkerbells · 07/12/2009 18:18

sorry for runs!! hope u feel better soon

PatTheHammer · 07/12/2009 21:59

LOL at 120. Sorry to post and run again (excuse the pun tree!) just checking you are all ok. I have this huge enveloping feeling of guilt that we are not doing enough for the DC's this xmas, what with the tightness of funds etc, and its really depressing me. Got any xmas spirit i can borrow Tink???

What's all this about Lenni not having any more?? Don't think that will last enjoy your trip!

SherryMerryLennipillar · 08/12/2009 00:30

I love the way you are all so sure I'm having another baby!!

Not going anywhere tomorrow - fed up with DH's line of work.

Blow the guilt Pat - the excitement alone is enough at their age. Is there a Santa coming to playgroup/preschool? We have one on Friday at playgroup - that'll suffice for DD, she's terrified of Santa bless her!

MissJ - Glad you are surviving and the weeks are already ticking by. You must put a little tree up at home though - and sit N at the bottom of it for his photo, and then post it on fb for us all to admire

Thanks for ideas Moose - [sob] [sob] sounds fab, next year I have plans, with or without DH [evil cackle]

Hope runs go soon 120 and Tree - not the time of year for that.

I'm off to bed - am living on toast and chocolate this week as haven't shopped as thought we were going away. Have a humdinger of a headache coming on from blood sugar implosion! Only good side is lack of proper food has helped my diet along - have lost a couple of pounds and now fit in all of my work clothes how come they didn't do up last week and literally 2lbs later fit makes you wonder why you bothered losing the previous 2 stone!

120cmsOfSnow · 08/12/2009 10:15

is anyone else expressing milk still or am I a mug? typing one (left) handed

120cmsOfSnow · 08/12/2009 10:23

5oz woohoo! right am off.

MsSparkle · 08/12/2009 10:43

Morning,

Sorry to hear about the runs

Pat i don't think your dc will notice. Just put on some Christmas music and let them do some singing and dancing

120cm that sounds exciting! Although i saw the picture of oxford Street in the paper with all those people and Are you going to go to Hamleys? It's really great in there and i bet it's super great at Christmas!

Finley is a tad better but still has the cold. His throat sounds better this morning, yesterday it sounded croaky and sore when he cried. Today he sneezes and lots of snot flys out the nose! Better out than in i suppose. My mum suggested the doctor but i don't know, they will probably just send me home with some calpol which is what i am already doing, so?

MsSparkle · 08/12/2009 10:45

Lenni well done you for the weight loss! I still have a tummy, although the bag of M&Ms might not have helped that

Sparkle, H is also croaky, clingy and snotty. Oh, and a rather red bum. Teething? Yet another cold? [Hmm]

Oxford street was far too busy so only managed to snaffle a coat for myself and a couple of little stocking fillers from Muji. TBH my lot are only getting stocking fillers this year from us!

stripeywoollensantahat · 08/12/2009 19:58

hello all - hiya mssparkle, sorry to hear finley's got a cold. i can't advise about the doctor - i took c last week because she was so out of sorts it freaked me out but i think i might be a bit on the munchausens anxious side, so i wouldn't take me as a guide... (she had a sore throat. calpol was recommended )

dog, sorry about bt and about the parking fine. don't they know that mumsnet is an essential service?

lenni, excellent about weight loss - i am looking at a very grim january here, i think, as a year of 'baby' weight is about as far as i am willing to go...

well, c has decided that crawling is excellent, the further in the wrong direction/during a nappy change/instead of eating the better it's adorable but i think it might get old really quite soon, for me. all is otherwise quiet here, sister took off again, unhelped and seemingly unhelpable [feeling useless emoticon]. oh well.

chefswife, if you're about: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VIOLET - that was yesterday, right?

Dog - I feel the same, but then I am a heifer and you most certainly are not! I still have 1.5 stone to go - all DD weight, so 3 years I've been hanging on to it. But over halfway now, and have shifted all the horrid weight, just got to budge the flab! My tummy really suffered with no.2 pg, I have a bit of a saggy bit which I never had after DD. Not sure it will ever recover.

DS started walking yesterday, so so cute. He did a couple of steps which I thought I had hallucinated so didn't even tell DH but today he's been walking loads so kind of feel bad that I didn't share our son's developmental milestone earlier!

Hope F is better soon MsSparkle, I am of the opposite ilk to Stripey in that I never seem to go to the doctors. I wait so long that by the time I finally go we have inevitably recovered! I'm totally phobic of medical folk, Tree excepted of course.

Dog - very inconsiderate of BT. Loving the idea of wine and tv, I think I might have a wine night in your honour tonight

Best go and assist DH with DD's bedtime he was late home from work tonight so I let her stay up but he's been home an hour now and she still seems to be awake...

BTW, MissJ, your fb status made me all weepy. My heart breaks at how totally gorgeous my two are every day - and then DD clonks DS around the head with a toy and the spell is broken. They are amazing little creatures.

stripeywoollensantahat · 08/12/2009 21:51

agree, missj, that's it exactly (your fb status). there actually isn't a word for the effect that her newly learned "bye-bye" has on me. cute is nothing like sufficient

treedelivery · 08/12/2009 22:08

Hello.

Am a hypoglcemic crazed loon, but I think we are through the worst. Not good. So much vomit, so broken a washing machine.

My mobile phone bill is £96!!! I have minus £500 in the bank, and I don't get paid till,,,,,,er.....end of Feb. My dd1 is sad. Sad. Like an adult is. About school and the huge amoount of time she misses with me. She has been a true angel about H, and never complained. When I was here, shouting about how unbearable the constant screaming was, she just murmured now and again that she missed me. Now she is sad and it's leaking out of her eyes.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the season!!!! I am happier than last year, but still, feel floored.

treedelivery · 08/12/2009 23:34

New pics on fb. Trying to cheer my ass up!

SherryMerryLennipillar · 08/12/2009 23:35

Tree - I think we all feel a bit underwhelmed with Christmas this year, am sure it is something to do with cumulative sleep deprivation, a massive recession and you've had it harder than most with DH's job, H's colic/dairy intolerance and J starting school. I've grown to think of Christmas as a new start now, DS is one in a few weeks, DD starts preschool and I am going back to work. They are growing up now, this is the best bit - when they are still yours to fill up with love and ideas but are company and make you smile with their little ways. I intend to make the most of the next couple of years before school starts and I get a grumpy, tired baby back at the end of the day.

Poor DD1, she has been stout of heart all year, am sure a bit of time with you all over the holidays will help, and once H is a little older they will be company for each other as well as rather than competition for your attention.

Money is a pita, but you know you'll muddle through until Feb - you always do!

I am still trimming up the house - I am beginning to lose the will to live and don't want to see another bauble, neatly folded ribbon or synthetic berry until at least this time next year.
