Ah Miss J, you bought a tear to my eye!

SherryMerryLennipillar · 23/12/2009 20:18

Bookmarking mainly - DD got flu, we're able to get out but is touch and go and can only get out after lunch when warmed up enough and back before sun goes down. Feel like a vampire!

Send some festive vibes my way please Stripey

Have a lovely relax and some big hugs with N over xmas MissJ, am going to watch this year entirely for you in the diary room! If I get hooked I know who to blame!

Glad you had fun Tree, am seriously considering booking to go sometime next year, waterpark sounds like DD's idea of heaven!

It's very exciting that MissJ is something to do with famous things and stuff. Cool! I have never even seen a famous person, except Prince Charles. That doesn't count.

You brought a tear to my eye too. This time last year....was a huge waddling thing myself!

Go Lenni - it's a good thing. I don't know if they are open over Christmas, but if they are I'd be tempted to see you there.

NOw that would be a thread meet up!!!

SherryMerryLennipillar · 23/12/2009 20:34

Well that's me sold - what was it like in Feb?

OP posts:
SherryMerryLennipillar · 23/12/2009 20:35

Poor DD, she is a sorry soul, hope she recovers for Christmas, how long does flu last? We are on day 2, night 3 iykwim

OP posts:
tackyChristmastreedelivery · 23/12/2009 20:51

Poor dd. Flu can be up to about 5 days I think. Mostly about 3 though surely? You should be nearly out of it.

Is is always thud with kids, or has it been a sicky season?? We have never used so much loo roll as this month!

Feb was cracking, much much quiter! The park was closed, but I got a proper deckchair in the water park. Half term will be bedlam. Think they are doing a Charlie and Lola thing at some point.

Morning every one, and Happy Christmas Eve

That's a lovely thought books - thank you for thinking of dd.

Bigg hugs to you all, mumsnet or no. It's been a bonkers year, at times this place is the only one that really knew how tired, worried and stressed I was!

Here's to 2010, wonder who will be the first to join a new antenatal thread.......

SherryMerryLennipillar · 24/12/2009 20:28

You've given me chills with talk of antenatal threads Tree

Moose - am thinking of you, have a fantastic Christmas and please pop in to let us know you are okay.

Merry Christmas the season is upon us - I'm already three quarters of the way down my bottle of wine for tomorrow, why buy one? NOte to self, buy more wine next year.. Second note to self, don't get pregnant so wine consumption not possible. DS will have frothy milk in the night morning

120cmsOfSnow · 24/12/2009 21:28

Merry Christmas all! Was just thinking what a huge grump I was this time last year. Ahem. Not so much different from this year then. Come on babies, please sleep through for us! THEN we can do a broody list, ready for the next antenatal thread

DD was NOT keen on Santa coming tonight. 'No. Don't want presents. Don't want Santa.' When I asked her what present she wanted she said a Mango. Sigh. If only this could last!

xxx

hackneyzoowithbellson · 24/12/2009 22:27

Happy Christmas mummies and babies! xxx And wishing all the Dcs, DPs and DHs a happy and healthy Christmas too xxx

My freakin turkey hasn't defrosted yet and I want to get all Jamie Oliver on it, lets hope its thawed by the morning.

Happy Christmas lovely people.

Big squeezes to the babies.

stripeywoollensantahat · 25/12/2009 20:47

hope you're all stuffed and sleepy and your small ones are in bed. we have had a crazed day here, c a bit sick so all up and down and then we also had a vomiting incident. her breathing is very rattly, we may need to go the doctor tomorrow if she is still not right. but my brother has given her a toy orangutan which is the same size as her and i think it's love...

happy christmas night

SherryMerryLennipillar · 25/12/2009 21:57

Hope C better soon.

We've all got ill children for Christmas it seems, although I got a full night's sleep last night so all other gifts were superfluous. DS seems much better now he is having an inhaler and I'm hoping his chest recovers as DD's flu has been nasty so don't want him getting that on top of a chest infection. Not sure if he had it last week when I thought he was teething or if that was indeed cold/teeth combo. DD much better today - ate a bite of a sausage and half a brussel sprout plus about half of a mince pie which is first food since Monday and she's walking about herself again now having not moved all week. I think she'll make a decent enough recovery to enjoy her birthday on Monday.

I'm waffling, only came on to wish a Merry Christmas to old, new and absent. Enjoy the festivities and cuddle those babies for me, glass of red anyone?

SherryMerryLennipillar · 25/12/2009 22:00

120 - DD asked for a cup, a cake and a toothbrush this year! I wish it would last too! Although she did upgrade to a cup, a cake, a toothbrush AND a straw recently. We've pushed the boat out to meet those requests

missjackson · 27/12/2009 09:54

Hi everyone - hope you've all had a lovely couple of days, poorly babies notwithstanding .... stripey, is C any better? Did you make it to the doctors? Lenni glad to hear DD managed some mince pie!

We had a great time but seem to be on about our fifth present opening session, as various family members come and go. N loved every second, and has been on great form. His Granny gave him a wonderful tractor that says 'it's tractor time. off to the fields!' in a wurzels accent (how do they get away with it?!) with no off button, so that is driving us all crazy. Lots of fab presents, and my kitchen is now stacked with bags of 'stuff' - feel like we have been camping out here as we've been up at the farm or down at my Mum's all the time, and only here to sleep. So desperate for a morning of sorting....

stripeywoollensantahat · 27/12/2009 11:38

morning everyone, hope you are all in recovery positions, with chocolate we are going to have a miserable half starved january for the sake of our midriffs, which obviously means we have to eat everything in the house before then

c is still awfully snotty but recovering now, i think, so no trips to the doctor, thankfully. i hope all the other little sickies are recovering too

missj, my mum brought c some sort of fisher price thing which does an insanely irritating rendition of pop goes the weasel, so i sympathise. i think they are still small enough to forget things like toys exceedingly quickly, though [evil mother emoticon]...

ah, shouting on the monitor - back later

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 27/12/2009 13:44

Glad to hear C is improved stripey. Thats good.

How is your house of plauge and snot Lenni? Birthday girl tomorrow!!?? Wow!! I hope poor ds is feeling better, he must be tired out.

The eggy lady has her scan tomorrow too, so hoping and hoping for 6 weeks and 1 or even 2 heartbeats.

H has pretty much given up eating, the only thing that has gone in since Tue is the pastry of a mince pie [cheap mince pies=no butter or dairy of anysort in the pasty, bonza!! ] Am worried, but refusing to worry iyswim.

MissJ - might the batteries be running out on the that toy in record time?

We got no noise makers, both dd's heart the wheelybug. DD1 also got a red plastic motorbike that she saw on Christmas eve in a shop with nanna, and shoke with sobbing when she had to eave it behind. SHe offered the shop man all the money in her penny bank, and prayed very hard to santa. So we let santa deliver on that one, as she was totally smitten by it. It's this and we heart it actually, no batteries, really light, easy to use - it just zooms about.

Best pressi for dd2 these Both dd's like them.

Santa also delivered the hard to find and sold out till Christmas Eve Barbie shower and show [bit too close to s**t, shower and shave for me] at blooming £35. Total tat and played with once as expected. Grrrr. SHe asked santa for it and talked about it loads, but I knew it would be a load of nothing and get ignored. So hard to know what to do with things like that. I worry if I don't get it all faith in santa will be lost. Argh!!

Wonder how Tink got on?

Moose, hope Christmas was fabby.

Just administered extra doses of lactalose, no Christmas poo for my two. Oh the glamour of my life [fsanta]

hackneyzoowithbellson · 27/12/2009 14:48

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and that all the poorly DCs are feeling better.

In a state of exhaustion here, had a lovely time, now I need to sleep for about 24 hours.

A lovely friend is about to arrive with her DS, she has jsut split from her boyfriend so is coming to stay with her 9 month old for a bit of a break, so looking forward to a week of babies.

Right, where have those choccies gone? ...

PatTheHammer · 27/12/2009 14:56
