Oh 120 - we had that. Belly ache then explosions of various fluids. Also temps.

Poor you dog, and all your babies. Get well soon puppies!!

H sems over it. Just has her ususal breakfast of 2 babyspoons of porridge and an ounze of formula.

DH is taking dd1 to buy H a card and little pressi. SO sweet. DD didn't want to go out [Sat morning tv, it's a constant battle] but he asked her what we have this year that we didn't last. First answer was 'the cat', who we have had for 4 years, then realised 'Hattie Poppers'. SHe wants to buy her a little Popper Pressi. So cute!

Ah yes blueberries. She picks them up one by one and 'plop' onto the floor. Like OCD but in reverse! I used to bite into them for her and she would eat them, but has gone off for now.

Shopping today, will try find ripe avacado [ours are stil ripening, just past cricket ball stage, but still not soft as tennis ball], bananas, hummous.

Cooked 2 pieces of organic free range chicken that cost about £30 or something daft in no salt stock with root veggies. Then forgot it once it was cooked and left it oven. Gaaaawd darn it!!

It's been about minus 50 downstairs overnight, maybe it will be ok!?!?!?!?

hackneyzoowithbellson · 19/12/2009 11:02

Get well soon all you poorly babies! Night of DD vomiting...ewww, she's never been sick before, not pleasant, she's right as rain this morning. How do you get the smell of sick out of feather pillows? Can they go in the wash?

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 11:08

I think you will have to dry clean them HKZ, we will need to do our feather topper too. Arse. Poor dd. This vomiting thing seems to have got every child in the land!

Forgot to type, Book, sorry to hear poor ds was feeling so rough yesterday.

120cmsOfSnow · 19/12/2009 11:54

HZ, that must have been why she wasn't eating pizza yesterday. Even L who usually finishes the whole thing was still picking. Fine today too . Not sure about vom and feather pillows; have given ours the IKEA foam ones!

hackneyzoowithbellson · 19/12/2009 13:20

120...sadly she was sick over my pillows, came into the bedroom in the middle of the night, tapped me on the shoulder and threw up on me...nice.

Off to the dry cleaners I go...

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 13:38

Oh love - bummer!

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 16:07

Harriet did a poo that made her sream in agony. I got too upset and dh had to go to her

Then she did this almighty chicken korma affair. I don't know if it's the runs, or the lactalose she started yesterday

Might start thread. We leave at 6 am so this matters!!

Hope you are all having lovely Chrsitmas weekend, but where is Moosey? Hope all ok with the boys and girl.

hackneyzoowithbellson · 19/12/2009 17:13

Oh Tree, poor H. Am fed up with the sight of poo here. Are you off to see Father Christmas tomorrow? Is J excited?

Have just realised we have a total of 5 knives in the house and 9 people coming for Christmas day...hmmm...now would it be utter maddness to go to Ikea this evening, say about 7pm, once the DCs are in bed? Will it be mayhem, chaos and misery? It will be worse in the week surely?

books, glad the pox are getting better.

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 17:52

Thats good books. Great he has shaken that off.

Will try the tinned fruit idea - good idea! I got some of those pinapple chunks in little pots. Total rip off compared to tins, what was I thinking!? SHe turned her nose up anyway.

She just turned down fishfinger and beans [was desperate you understand]. Is holding half a chip. Classy household here. DD1 didn't get near a fishfinger till she was 3. Here's me with dd2 trying to force them on her!

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 18:52

Harriet completely enthralled by Take That on the telly. Fair enough.

hackneyzoowithbellson · 19/12/2009 18:59

Am taking the plunge, I am going to Ikea, now, don;t try and stop me

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 19/12/2009 19:04

Ok. If your not back my midnight we'll worry assume you are in que with forks, and £60 worth of odd bits.

Best of luck mate

Books I am stuck in a complete food rut that is much more boring...DD will only eat cheese sandwiches for lunch...or any cheese/bread based snack and supper is ....fish or pasta... refuses veg, will eat the occasional bit of chicken. She is funny, up until about this time last year she would eat absolutely anything.
I do give her different meals all the time...cottage pie, fresh veg, lentil cassrole, lasagne etc but she just leaves it. if she doesn't eat it i just ignore and offer no alternative...but always feel very mean.
I love food and cooking so am a bit that the DCs dont...hopefully they will cultivate some taste soon, my cookings not that bad

Dog, have a good night out with DP, hope it goes well

Tree, fishfingers rock! DD loves the salmon fingers too. When DD was tiny I was horrified that people would feed thier Dcs frozen foods and chips...until I woke up in the real world Although now dd hates potatoes too so...back to the drawing board.

Moosey and Tink, where are you? Hope you are ok.

120 I need your help with my knitting disaster, I have buggered it all up at the last minute, I cried last night when I realised. Have been knitting DS this little duffle coat style cardy from the debbie bliss bok (since June) and did the last bit back to front an dthe wrong way round cos I didn't understand the pattern...now am too scared to unravel it in case I bugger it up even more.

I have just built the most hideous trofast storage unit in our living room, looks a lot less hideous than the huge mountain of toys that were there before though. I have bits left over too Why does that always happen with Ikea furniture?

missjackson · 20/12/2009 07:04

Wow hkz you have not only been to ikea since I last checked the thread, but have already built your unit! Impressive work. Reminds me of this time last year when I was moving to Wales, and took OH to ikea for a 5 hour trip - then we were still building stuff after N was born at the end of Jan.

tree poor little H and her poo - although couldn't help but at chicken korma affair. Sounds like you've got some good food suggestions, so hopefully one of those will take her fancy? Does she have teeth yet? I was just wondering because it's really only the last couple of weeks that N has been properly eating, and it's coincided with finally getting teeth. So maybe some babies really do just need solids later.

books it's a reality show - george orwell - there's a clue for you! I don't know why I am being so secretive on here, I think it was the daily mail scare we all had a while back, but I have had show-stalkers in the past who somehow managed to get my phone number and hassled me for months (some people really are freaks), so am super cautious and don't want anything to come up in searches. It's just a short term contract, for 10 weeks over Dec-Jan, and we are down in London for the duration, with OH being a full time Daddy. All going well so far. Are you back at work at all? Sorry if a dim question, I have lost track somewhat....

Got about 80% of the xmas list done at JL yesterday - have a bad cough though, hence up at 6.30am. Must go back to bed now. Hope you are all having nice weekends.

Gumps · 20/12/2009 09:27

S is officially 1! He had a lovly day but was slightly over whelmed and vomited twice. Had all the family yesterday and got 10 kids today for a party (why oh why). Ds1 thinks its the best thing ever and has been so sweet saying I will help you S, you can share my toys too.
My Bf is here for the weekend and she is preggers. I am so excited for her but not remotely jealous which seeing as dh thinks we are trying in Jan is slightly worrying. Need to make a decision!
Right off to clean yesterdays mess for todays mess to begin. Dh was on a stag last night so no help at all....
Hello to all and hope sickly babies are better soon. My bf nearly vomited herself when I caught S sick in my hands yesterday.
