Lol, never heard of hung before Fi. Not sure if I'd want to see it. I might make it an early night tonight. Not much happening on 'tinternet and dh is away for the night so I've got the whole bed for myself again and I get to wear pjs again, lol.

Trumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 26/11/2009 22:16

I'm here! Just farming/fishing/cafeing and watching Rock & Rolla.

Poor G fi .

S is snoozing at the mo, but keeps waking.

Belgina · 26/11/2009 22:19

I just farm grumpytrumpy DH says I should stop doing virtual farming and do something about our rl garden. I've told him I would if only he brought down all my gardening tools from the Midlands, lol.

Trumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 26/11/2009 22:25

I tried proper gardening here but everything was killed off by a sharp frost .

I suppose I really ought to go to bed, keep it schtum but S only woke once last night............

Belgina · 26/11/2009 22:28

I think I'll join you trumpy. Well, not actually in your bed in France of course. But... well... you know what I mean. I'm off to bed.
Night all. Wishing you all a long non-broken sleep.

FiByTheSea · 26/11/2009 22:28

I'm going to head off to bed about 11pm but dream feed G 1st.

FiByTheSea · 26/11/2009 22:30

keepingmy fingers crossed that ds doesn't wake up at midnight again tonight... honestly if it's not one it's the other atm!

Momino · 26/11/2009 22:34

I'm always so late arriving but we don't sit down for supper until at least 9pm.

Belgina, love the name .

ladyH, well done to your ds on his swim... how old is he?

grumpy, don't you be talking about being a failure as that isn't a word anywhere near you. I admire you so much for moving to france with 3 dd's on your own faced with so many challenges. you're so brave! it takes guts to do what you did. it also takes guts to recognise what is right for you and your family and move country again . hopefully this is the last move for you for awhile and you can settle down.

thanks for all the thanksgiving messages, it is today! the best I could do was have a turkey/stuffing/cranberry sandwich from M&S. well, I did order a turkey from the butcher but picking it up on saturday, doesn't make much sense to celebrate Thanksgiving today if DH has been at work and girls at nursery.

didn't make it to ELC as H was a bit funny with her afternoon nap so didn't leave the house till 4.30 and so just met a friend for coffee and scone (much better than shopping imo).

Momino · 26/11/2009 22:37

Fi, hope she's better soon and can settle tonight.

FiByTheSea · 26/11/2009 22:38

scone sounds good to me momino much better than a run around elc!

Trumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 26/11/2009 22:50

mmmmmmmmmmm scone mmmmmmmmmmm

Jael · 26/11/2009 22:53

I think everyone may have gone to bed, thanks for all the messages. We did put DD's mattress in the playroom on the floor, she was very teary, and didn't like being in a different room but it was better than the alternative, which was sharing my bed and having DP on the sofa! I know she'd never want to go back into her own bed, and I couldn't risk that. She's gone down ok, don't know how she's going to be in the morning, as she normally sleeps till at 8am, with toys everywhere she may rise early lol hehe from other people's experiences it seems like the letting agency are going to drag there feet, I can't be having DD on the playroom floor for months Right off to bed now, night X

Tummum · 27/11/2009 07:46

Morning all. Funny story to cheer you up from the Tumm household. DD2 has been a PITA all week this week. Very grumpy and stroppy (doesn't take after me at all, honest ). Well anyway, I have been putting it down to her cast annoying her and arm giving her pain. And DS has been really crabby, but I thought it was his teeth giving him gyp. But, it seems, there may be another reason...

Last night I heard a door squeak at about 5.30am, I got up but couldn't see anything, so thought it must be the cat. So went back to sleep but woke up again at 6.15am to hear one of DS's toys squeaking. So I went to DS's room to investigate and found DD2 and DS1 'playing' with each other through the cot bars. So, it seems, DD2 has been getting up at an unearthly hour, going into DS's room, turning his light on and playing with him. When I talked to her she was sooo cute, saying "but I just want to play with G all of the time." ROFL. This has been happening all week, which would explain the rubbish mood in this household. DS and DD2 are now sparko because I put them back to bed. Funny !

FiByTheSea · 27/11/2009 07:57

awww tummum that's lovely but lol too.. here our ds is still not very enamoured of G.. mainly as she giggles at his toddler antics and he objects to that. he gets her best smiles and he doesn't like that ether

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 27/11/2009 07:58

tummum - that is funny, and so cute! I wish DD1 liked A, at the moment she says she doesn't, pah. Tough, she'll have to get used to her.

jael - I'm so sorry to hear about the damp/mould problem, sounds awful. Good idea to talk to your insurance people, and keep hounding the landlord/agency until things get fixed properly.

No more namechecking, sorry, I'm tired - I went out last night!!!! Not with DH, it was with my antenatal class (from DD1, iyswim). We just went to a posh pub, I wore heels and make up and had some gin and some wine and some proper grown up conversation (even though some of it was about children). DH huffed and sighed the whole time I was getting ready to go and was a bit sulky. Not sure why, it's not my fault he doesn't go out in the evenings, he could if he wanted to...he's just got no friends .

I think we're going to make our Christmas cake today. Getting a bit late really (less time so soak in brandy!) but DD1 might enjoy it. Cake making that is, not soaking in brandy.
