flippin way to go dd1 that's excellent.

I've been putting ds in pants when he gets home from pre school in the pm and so far he's had accidents in quite a few pairs.. the pull ups were not working (too happy to wee in them) and he goes to the potty no problem when running around without anything... So yesterday i thought i'd just let him wet his pants and see what happened. He had 2 accidents yesterday and one today. I was hanging out our washing when today's accident happened and he came to tell me straight away bless him. Unfortunately he'd been on our sofa at the time so i'm sitting on a towel on bare seat pad cushion tonight! It went all the way through so had to not only shampoo the cover but the seat cushion. i'm not making a big deal of the accidents (but it was kinda hard with the sofa one today!). I'm hoping it'll 'click' for him soon as he loves wearing his pants and even went off to his bedroom when he had an accident to choose another pair to wear The frustrating thing about this afternoon was i had asked him if he needed a wee a few mins before and he said no he didn't need to wee

6 pages to catch up on!!! It's only been 36hrs!!

I really must go to bed as I've had a v busy couple of days and am knackered. However, really wanted to say:

Trumpy - as others have said, hats off to you for giving it a go. I think if you hadn't you'd have always wondered "what if". Home for Christmas sounds good!
Hope S is now asleep.

Belgiana - thinking of you and your family. Your DH is a star for doing DS's party and giving you the support you need.

Hopefully catch up a bit more tomorrow.

Momino · 25/11/2009 22:23

Fi, I'll come out to you! (need a weekend getaway, me)

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 22:29

momino would love to see you if you fancied getting away for a weekend... with the distance you'd have to travel it would need to be an over-nighter as i think it'd take about 4hrs to get down here via M1/M5

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 25/11/2009 22:33

fi - I'm sure your DS will get it soon, it all sounds promising. It's hard not to get slightly annoyed though at times, isn't it? DD1 (M) nearly always decides she needs to go to the toilet when I'm feeding A. Of course I can't tell M to wait so A gets put down while I sort M out. I think a lot of it is attention seeking by M, she's struggling a bit with A's general presence at the moment.

Funny moment the other day - A crawled over to play with M, M tried to shoo her away and stop A playing with her slippers, saying 'A, I am not a toy, I am a girl!' in a very cross voice. Made me laugh so much.

I wish I lived a bit closer to people too. Any Londoners/South Easters fancy meeting in London for lunch one day in the new year before we all start going back to work?

Momino · 25/11/2009 22:36

ah, I'd prob be on the train. we're a one-car family now. I quite fancy a long train ride.

muddled, I was watching iceAge2 with dd1 and she started getting scared at the near-drowning of the woolly mammoth. I finally snapped into reality that it wasn't the sort of thing that a nearly-4-yr-old could happily watch an hour before bedtime.

flippin, sorry there is such a wait on the counselling. Hope you're able to get other support meanwhile in RL but do come on here to vent if needed.

Belgianrockets · 25/11/2009 22:38

I'll meet up with you again flippin and it would be lovely to meet any other Londoners too Also Hurrah for the successfull poos!

Just booked the cheapest ferry ticket ever in my life. So will be going there on sun morning and home on monday night when I know how the surgery went.

Bedtime now here. Wishing you all a restful and unbroken night everyone

momino we do have a train station in w-s-m but you'd prob have to change at bristol depending on where your train was heading off to next.

chocolatebunnies was the closest to me iirc but even she was a fair drive into devon. Actually all our london crowd is prob about the same distance...
