oh, before I go, llare, you just reminded me on namechecking I forgot blotted's return... welcome back!

now, time for bed. good night, all.

Belgianrockets · 24/11/2009 23:26

DH blocked the PC again all night. Time we get some sort of webbrowser sorted on the (ancient) laptop

Really want to go to bed, so sorry for no name checks, but I just have to wave at detsy blotted and grumpy who all came back for a visit today.

saus at your proper grown up day and night out with DH this weekend. Enjoy it!

Will try your recipe fi I am using tesco bread sticks at the moment, the salt thing never occured to me.

Can't remember who it was, but just want to say that it took just under 2 weeks for evidence of C actually digesting food to show up. She's now getting pretty good. She had a lovely soft pear today and loved it and it looks like breadsticks have gotten a big thumbs up from her too. Yesterday she had a play with rice, the sticky kind, and she'd managed to smear it all in her hair. I had to dunk her in the bath after dinnertime just to get rid of all the rice everywhere, lol.

Keeping my fingers xed for Reggie tonigh

Night night everyone.

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 08:02

Not a great night last night but it was an improved one.. G woke at 4.45am & while bf DS woke up.. G happily went back to sleep albeit snotty.. only had to go back into DS twice before he went back to sleep. they're both still asleep.. going to have to wake up both of them to get them ready for pre school!

Momino · 25/11/2009 09:34

'Improved' is good, Fi.

we were breakfasted and ready by the time the tiler arrived. a bit delayed to nursery but mainly because I had to stop every few steps to pick up Harper's little bootie she kept kicking off. They have a velcro closure but it doesn't fasten tightly.

anyone have any boots or thick socks to recommend that don't fall off? I've been using dd1&2's socks as they're quite big so cover her leg or use tights. I'd just like to find boots that stay on.

runningmonkey · 25/11/2009 09:41

Morning,
Managed to read to catch up last night but didn't get chance to post.

Congrats to all the aunties

Saus fab pics, can you just get them all on a CD and print at your leisure? (Mind you we did this and have only managed to print out one )

Hello to grumps, blotted and detsy nice to 'see' you

Sorry have forgotten who it was with the roof/rain issues. Hope all is sorted now.

Fi glad your nights are improving. Hope others are too. We are back to 2 wakes now after a few weeks of only one feed but it is manageable at the moment.

momi Gap socks were recommended to me, they do stay on too. They do some nice thick ones too.

Hi to all else, sorry if I've forgotten any important business.

We had a great time in Scotland at a family wedding in Glasgow and then visiting friends in Edinburgh until yesterday. We drove up and so saw a lot of the flooding in Cumbria, looked awful so am glad reebee and family are ok. A was great in the car until we got stuck in traffic in Glasgow so we had to entertain her by singing for about an hour! Was really nice to see our old uni friends in Edinburgh too, they have a ds two months older than A and it was so sweet to see them 'playing' together.

Right A is blowing raspberries over the monitor, was supposed to be napping back later.

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 10:39

momi i've given up with socks.. we're doing funky patterned tights. have heard gap ones are great but our closest one is 20miles away..

running you've made me home sick for scotland with your visiting friends in edinburgh.. if our canada plans don't work out we'll prob move back. sounds like you had a lovely time

runningmonkey · 25/11/2009 11:12

Fi I can see why. Edinburgh is a fab city, I love the sheer number of places to eat and drink (and loads of them baby friendly too). Also my friend seems to have so much to do with her DS. I am busy but they have so many options, I'm a bit . I think its also because its a bit like Cardiff - a capital city but still 'small' enough to be friendly too.

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 25/11/2009 11:14

Momi I usegrest shoes for R. I was given 3 pairs as a gift by different people in small, medium and large so was really lucky. He is wearing the medium at the moment. He wears them everyday over his socks and THEY DON'T FALL OFF. I love them and wish I had some for DD. Lucky she was a winter baby so by the time she was kicking her feet about it was summer so didn't matter as much if her socks fell off. I used to dress her in tights everyday when it was cooler even under trousers.

Hi Detsy, Blotted and trumpy Grumpy .

I still feel awful still. Luckily DD is sleeping loads at the moment and hasn't woken up before 9am for the last week and is still napping in the day despite us not doing anything in the day. I just can't do anything I feel all weak and shaky so am trying to rest as much as possible. R feed 3 hourly over night so pretty average for him.

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 13:42

febes sorry you're still poorly.. i hope you're over the worst of it and feeling better soon. The shoes remind me of daisy root shoes.. which we have a few of from DS. your link didn't work for me as the address had the word 'these' at the end.. will try and redo it but on phone atm so not sure if it'll work.. try this?

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 25/11/2009 14:10

Ah sorry try this

Febesisalittlefirecracker · 25/11/2009 14:14

Thats the same as your one fi. I'm clearly not functioning at full speed.

We are just watching Big Cook Little Cook for the 2nd time today .

The good news is R had an hour nap this morning and is asleep again now. Of course DD refused to nap today but is happy watching cbeebies and trashing the house.

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 14:14

we got ds some of these furry boots and also the larger size to use as slippers in the house when he started walking.. he looked like a little tarzan when he ran around in his washable tiger nappy and those boots! lol must go and find them

FiByTheSea · 25/11/2009 14:19

febes we've the same trasher here.. only just had a chance to feed myself some lunch.. fed dc's but then phone kept ringing and sainsburys arrived.. shopping half away and will have to wrestle the xmas lightsabres wrapping paper off DS soon too!

Momino · 25/11/2009 15:23

febes, hope you're feeling better soon.
thanks for the tips on the socks. I'd like to get a pair of the soft leather shoes, maybe for christmas? Fi, love the leopard furry boots.

running, glad you had a good time in scotland. we have a few friends there but doen't visit enough.

ok, time to walk the dog before it gets dark.

Jael · 25/11/2009 16:31

Afternoon everyone

I've been fitted for my wedding dress today so I'm very

J ate 1/2 a piece of toast today at lunchtimne along with his puree so

Jenn I don't know where to start with giving him "our food" we eat quite alot of pasta/salad+spicy food so I definately think he's wanting more than pureed veg though!

Headless Tamworth eh? Not too far away from me We regularly go shopping to Tamworth and take DD to the park there on W/E's.

I went downstairs this morning to find on the table, flowers from my DP I love it when he does thing's like that, he's so lovely. I've used so many smilies in this post hehe at least I spose it's better than
for a change.

Jael XX

llareggub · 25/11/2009 18:58

You can't be far away from me, either Jael. We've been to the snowdome a couple of times. When is the wedding? We'll have to have another hen-do and sexybuilder can have a repeat booking.

Much, much sympathy to those who are also experiencing sleepless nights. It is exactly the same here. DS2 woke up at 1am after finally going down at 10.30ish and then DS1 woke up at 4am! I think it was the wind and the rain that did it.

Belgian I think my back is hurting to give your bad back company. It was aching so badly last night. I am wondering if it means by period might be on the way, which might also explain why I had a sleepless night. Hmm.

I am hoping it won't rain tomorrow. We really need to get out of the house.
