And as a bonus, big boy, we'll even let you be in our photo shoot. You can have the centre spread.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 27/10/2009 22:42

And we'll also throw in all the clean, meadow-fresh linen your heart desires

Where are you, sexybuilder? Do come here.

Are you running away from us?

Or are you just grumpy this evening and don't want to play?

Perhaps you have a sore tum from eating too many toffeeapples?

(For the love of god, some one please come and make me stop)

EtherealFiByTheSea · 27/10/2009 22:45

heehee dandy but you're so good with words! i'm rubbish at thinking up witty replies...

OP posts:
ScarySpangleMaker · 27/10/2009 22:59

EtherealFiByTheSea · 27/10/2009 23:10

Who isn't the mother of general knowledge?

Who's weaning when they should be learning?

Who's brain has turned to puree?

You are the weakest link. Goodbye.

Monstermomi · 28/10/2009 07:00

dandy, you're really making me .
really need to make this short as have to get dressed, get girls to nursery quickly, off to the dentist. but wanted to say hope sausage is doing well in the days before the wedding. don't forget to breathe!

again, all, thanks for the advice. very, very sound advice.

ladyH/llare/dandy, I hadn't even thought of the house insurance.

dandy, i've calmed down and looked again at the email and you're right that it's not as bad reading again when I'm not so incensed. I've had a friend look at it objectively and she thinks it's wrong, that it seems like the manager is trying to push me into resignation. so at least I know that I'm not taking the thing out of proportion.

I will keep the letter. I will think of a calm, proper reply that isn't rushed. she still needs to respond to my KIT request from a month ago so I also need to address that. I've got a friend in empl law who I can ask for advice as well.

anyway, will do a proper name check later, i need to catch up on a few pages. anniv dinner was lovely, lovely champagne and chocolates as well.

thanks again to you all for your support as you really do lift me in my insecure moods. MN hugs all round.

muddleddaizy · 28/10/2009 07:48

Oh my goodness - I go away for a couple of days and not only do you manage to finish 1 thread but you're 400+ posts into the next!! This could take me some time to catch up!!!

EtherealFiByTheSea · 28/10/2009 08:14

morning I've woken up with the dc's sore throat this am & now really hoping their cough stays away..

your anniversary sounded lovely momi

muddled most of the pages so far on this thread are sausages hen night glad you had a good time away

OP posts:
Toffeeapplemmum · 28/10/2009 08:18

Morning all

Glad you are feeling calmer Momi and good to get a 3rd party opinion. In some ways, it's good the response was by email because now you have written evidence your line manager is being a btch unsupportive.

Twas not me being sexy builder, although I would love to take credit, I was busy with G and I am just not that witty. Am waiting with baited breath to find out who it was though !

Sausage hope all is going well this week, thinking of you and wishing I could get married all over again, but to the same DH!. Was a brilliant day for me, and am excited on your behalf

Dandy you do make me larf. A lot. Talented writing lady, I'm not jealous at all

G slept much better last night so I am feeling less zombie-ish. But he is still breathing like he smokes 60-a-day and is only drinking 6oz a day, so is losing loads of weight . Don't recommend croup, it's horrible, horrible, horrible.

Speaking of horrible, must go back to pay attention to the DC.

Toffeeapplemmum · 28/10/2009 08:19

sausage, to make it clear, I am not after your DP, it is my own DH I would like to get married to again !

muddleddaizy · 28/10/2009 08:39

Right finished reading - what a scream! I'm sorry I missed Sausages hen party Saus good luck for the big day!!

Momi glad you had a good anniversary and didn't let the email spoil the party!

I went to stay at my cousin's with my db and his family. I hardly had any sleep from after the weekend and was shattered by the time I got back. Ds1 has turned into a whinger and ds2 is either teething or has another cold! I went to bed at 7am last night with ds1 and only had a wakeup at 3 and then 6ish - I feel like a new person!

muddleddaizy · 28/10/2009 08:40

Meant to say tummum hope G gets better soon, poor thing.

LoobyWooooooooh · 28/10/2009 08:43

morning

saus hope you have a brilliant time this week - try not to stress - it will all be wonderful just remember to enjoy every minute of the day.

M is enjoying some nappy off time lying on a towel kicking her legs about and playing with her toys. We were supposed to be going to a weaning workshop this morning but its been cancelled so I think we'll pop into BF group instead.

My DH nan had a bad fall the other day and is now in hospital so we will all try to go and see her in the next few days, she's 97 and was still in her own home (with carers going in twice a day and MIL/aunt as well) but now it looks like she's going to have to go into a care home. She's a lovely old lady (never had any grandparents so I've adopted her) and is in quite a bit of pain daily, blind in one eye and deaf but she still manages to knit blankets for charity .

We might have to wait till next week to visit her tho as she is very confused at the mo and has been quite abusive, we've got DSD from tonight till Sunday and don't really want her to see nanny like that .

zombietom · 28/10/2009 09:05

at Dandy's Ann Robinson impression

Toffeapplemum Croup sounds awful

muddled amazing what a difference a good nights sleep makes eh?

Looby sorry to hear about DH's nan

GHOSTLYPRessenceofSES · 28/10/2009 09:07

Morning!

T'mum - croup sounds awful. Hope you're rid of it soon.

muddle - yay for feeling like a new woman

Looby - your DH's nan sounds like a fantastic lady. Reminded me of my DH's gran who we saw in Ireland at the weekend. She's 94 and other than a hearing aid and a walking stick, she's in fine form.

momi - sounds like you had a lovely anniversary.

O has gone all clingy. I had to bring him into bed all night and even then he wouldn't let me 1 inch away from him. Don't know whether it's teething, getting over his bug, unsettled from our trip or something else! (or all of the above!)

Monstermomi · 28/10/2009 09:26

dentist appt cancelled at the last moment . so just catching up before I tidy (only have about a half hour to do both).

llare, your mother... 'tisn't a normal thing so yanbu.
ses, hope O loosens up a bit for you but I also must say that sometimes clingy babies are so cuddly and I just want to hold them so close (like today when the older 2 are at nursery and I've got H to myself).

Fi, should I be getting meself a FB farm? I have 2 invites but haven't done anything about it

EtherealFiByTheSea · 28/10/2009 09:28

tummum sending you speedy recovery vibes & hugs..

looby your nan IL.. i hope she's less confused over the next few days.

OP posts:
Monstermomi · 28/10/2009 09:35

toffeemum, hope the coughs get better and you stay sane relaxed.

muddled, glad you're feeling rested. agree with zombie that a good night sleep can make a world of difference.

looby, hope your DH's Nan is getting good care, bless her. 97, my goodness!

ok really must get some things done before Harper wakes from her nap. she's been going down for naps with much less fuss lately. may be the small amount of solids she's getting?

and off to town to buy some halloween sweets for the kiddies on Saturday . sithee all later.

HeebieJeebieReeBee · 28/10/2009 09:51

OMG - I read 3 pages on the last thread and then find this one.... and there are 17 pages to read!!! Can't believe it. Will be back when caught up but that's just nuts!

(secretly I'm thrilled as I reckon it's a valid excuse not to pack)

EtherealFiByTheSea · 28/10/2009 09:57

momi i had so many notifications it was in the end my friend who was over the other day muttered something about me always ignoring her farm requests and she could do with more neighbours .. so i thought i'd take a look.. have to admit i'm having fun but everyone is way ahead of me level wise and wow grumpy's farm is HUGE!

OP posts:
EtherealFiByTheSea · 28/10/2009 10:10
