LB...EGG WHITES!!!

Yay DW Hopefully things not so lonely for you now

bumble up half the night and still wheezing and miserable. Seeing the doc this afternoon, but had to wait to get one of the good doctors, and the one that does all the child development checks, so he knows his babies.

gtg, cuddles needed.

ChocOrange05 · 09/11/2009 11:45

Hello all - what good timing, I just popped on to lurk at you all and thought I should say hi now DW has asked! (DW did you get my e-mail?)

Hello to all and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the babies - 1 year has flown by. We had a birthday lunch for M yesterday and it was lovely, he had a little outfit from M&S and looked so grown up. Where has the time gone?

I am back at work 4 days a week now and don't seem to have time to do anything apart from work, commute, stare longingly at DS and wash nappies!!

Love to you all and our big babies - they're still babies right??

LadyBuzz · 09/11/2009 11:57

daisy thanks for that i will give it a go. I recall something being mentioned before now that you have said.

drswife glad you have managed to meet someone.

choco good to see you, hope M has a great day tomorrow.

Tinkerisdead · 09/11/2009 12:02

choc no email but I just figured you may have my old email address, if you still have the same mobile number I will text you? I still have your number from the days when I was an emotional wreck with DD . I am still an emotional wreck with DD ha ha...

Hope M has a fab birthday xx

ChocOrange05 · 09/11/2009 12:07

DW I just CAT you as my mobile number had changed!

LackaDAISYcal · 09/11/2009 13:06

Hey ChocO, I as wondering where you had been as well....glad that all is well and welcome back

bumble is testing me today. He is poorly and miserable and in desperate need of a nap, but will not give in. He is standong next to me on the floor and whinging and nodding off, but if I pick him up for a cuddle is struggling to get back down.

Silly baby, why won't he just give in to it? He'll feel so much better when he wakes.

PinkyMinxy · 09/11/2009 17:33

Hi all

Choc great to see you! And Glad your little biy enjoyed his day!

Yes they are still babies. AFIC my eldest 'baby' is 4.5! He's been off poorly today, veyr unlike him but we have actually had some fun. Both he and DD1 are full of a cold.

DW Yay! well done! Sounds like you are moving in the rigth direction!

Sometimes you just need someone you can have a cup of tea with when you are stuck on your own with the children.

Hope Bumble went to sleep, Daisy.

Will catch up a bit better laterx

PinkyMinxy · 09/11/2009 17:35

Little boy obviously.
I don't normally correct my typing as it is generally atrocious but that was quite a bad one!

MummyNic · 09/11/2009 17:40

Hi everyone.

Exhausted after the party which was a great success - 9 babies and a few older children + parents all enjoying the baby sensory party - it was great. The cake was even better than I hoped - it was a shame to eat it, but it needs eating as it tastes lovely!!!

SecretSanta - my email address is nichola dot bryce1 at sky dot com

I have pictures of the party on fb if anyone is interested: Nichola Bryce - picture of me & James in his 'My name is James & it's my 1st birthday' t-shirt!!!

Happy birthday babies!!!!

PS - hope Sophie is doing ok.

LackaDAISYcal · 09/11/2009 18:41

bumble fell asleep on his feet, holding on to the edge of the sofa so that he didn't fall over, bless him!

Been to the docs. Definately bronchiolitis, but doc thinks as he is robust and healthy he will have no problems shaking it off. He also has really inflamed tonsils but there is no infection. Poor wee thing, he is doing that peak and trough thing; charging around like mad when stoked up on calpol, but then crashing and being miserable when it wears off.

I hope we have a better night tonight.

Tinkerisdead · 09/11/2009 20:07

daisy I dream of the day my DD falls asleep without having her hand held or such crap. I sometimes wish that she would fall asleep in her dinner or standing up as that means the habit has been broken but nooooo!
She too was playing me up, not going to bed, on my lap, slide down, on my lap, slide down.

mummynic your party sounds fab, much better than the tea party with my knob-in-laws that i will have to endure

chocorange Ive emailed you back xxxx

Ceebee74 · 09/11/2009 20:24

Evening all

Mummynic glad J had a lovely birthday - the party sounds fab!

Happy birthday to baby Chocorange for tomorrow - lovely to see you around again

DW yay for meeting up - sometimes a chance remark is all it takes. Now make sure you follow it up with the other mum!!!

Daisy lol at Bumble - my mum is always saying that I used to just crash wherever I was including one day stood up with just my head on the sofa (just like Bumble!) Hopefully that will bode well for the future as, even now, I will happily fall asleep anyplace, anytime

pinky hope your DS1 is better soon. Ds1 has been complaining that his tummy hurt all day but seemed ok - until he tried to eat his tea and had one mouthful and vomited copiously!! He really perked up afterwards though so I think he just needed to puke

Suiledonn I would be mighty p*ssed off at my friend tbh (although I did 'pinch' a name that one of my friends was going to use for her DS - we were both due at the same time - for Ds1's middle name. I felt really guilty about doing it and that was just a middle name - took me ages to pluck up the courage to tell her and I don't think she was best pleased with me )

My parents came round today to visit - my mum has decided that she can't possibly be civil to my sis's bf at Hamster's party so I am now going to have to ring my sis and uninvite him - great!!

Right, nails to paint, bags to pack, lunch to make....

twinklingfairy · 09/11/2009 21:09

mummynic you might have to scoot on over to the secret santa thread to add you details.
Mr Yorky is in charge of sending out all the emails.

OMG ceebee Imagine your mum putting you in that position!
Is it a big do or just a wee one, surely they can sit at opposite sides of a room for an hour or two?
Mind you, do you need the tension?
Is he awful?

daisy My J did somethin similar the other day.
He adores the washing machine. We use it as the entertainment system for when he is finished eating but we are not 'Tonight, Mr Goo, Your feature presentation iiiiis...My Knickers!!'
Anyway, one morning when DD at PG and I really didn't want him snoozing cos then I would have to wake him bla bla...
there he is sat in front of his beloved, happy as larry. So I thought when, Dunt, I look around and he has fallen over!
He had his back to me but I am pretty certain he was mesmorised by it so much he fell asleep.
Poor love, it is not a good floor to be dunting your head on either.

DW Do I remember right, though the details are hazy, but you have the SIL from hell? I am wracking my brain but I remember something about her kicking up a stink at your wedding?
Or am I merging two stories together and making no sense whatsoever!?

Ceebee74 · 09/11/2009 21:15

Twink we are just having a 'small' tea party at our house - but have still managed to end up with 13 guests Our house is not that big so struggling with room as it is - so there is no way my mum could avoid him. To cut a long story short (to quote my new/old fave band ) my sis was engaged to him when she was about 20, he left her for another woman, she subsequently met someone else, got married, had 3 children. Met up with him again at the beginning of this year and left her hubby for him and now getting divorced - my mum has really been shaken up by it all and is struggling to come to terms with it and has, so far, refused to meet him. Not sure Hamsters party is really the best place for this so not sure why I told my sis it was ok for him to come - should think before I speak sometimes

twinklingfairy · 09/11/2009 21:37

Yowza!
Gosh, brave lady your sis.
Um, yeah, think I will back out of the room now not sure anything I say will be the right thing
Nosey Twink.

Ceebee blimey about yours sister, not sure if I find that utterly silly or fantastically romantic. Suppose it depends on whether the guy has changed for tthe better over the years.

Twink yep, thats her my SIL, the one that caused a huge commotion at my wedding, waling and crying, the same one who said i'd die in childbirth for having a homebirth and that me and the baby would die. The same one that said that my Dh and I are in a loveless marriage, and who came to 2 parties at my house and never spoke to me at either. The one who came to my daughters naming day and didnt speak to anyone even her own family and left DD's present in her buggy. There is much more...she is now pregnant again and has never been interested in the child she has got. She left her DD1 at 5 days old as it was vital to have couple time with her DH. She truly is a prize dick!

Yorky · 10/11/2009 11:43

For those of you who don't already know Phee may be the first but she's not the only one. We've just got back from 12wk scan! Only 1 baby with a lovely heartbeat - due 4 days after DD turns 18months [scared!]

Tinkerisdead · 10/11/2009 12:12

ahhhhhhh yorky thats brilliant. We want another Dc asap but we just not doing the deed enough to secure one im sure. V V jealous and happy for you. Big big hug

sparkletoes · 10/11/2009 12:22

Can you believe it is coming up to/been over a YEAR now!

What a roller coaster it has been too, wish so much that I could go back in time and give myself some advice but just not the way it works eh?!

So Happy Birthday to all the thread babies!!

XXX

sparkletoes · 10/11/2009 12:27

Congrats Yorky!!! Another baba!

Am secretly very jealous but sooooo not going there!! xxx

Ceebee74 · 10/11/2009 13:14

Yorky wow, congratulations What fantastic news... I think we are reaching that time when future siblings may be coming along thick and fast (not from me though )

Twink/drswife sis says her bf has changed but we are all a bit about that bearing in mind he walked out on his pg gf to be with my sis. The baby was born in July but has been in foster care since she was born due to physical/mental issues with the mother...my sis and her bf are currently trying to get custody!! Sometimes I feel like I am in the middle of a Jeremy Kyle programme

sparks Hellooooo!! Lovely to hear from you I totally agree on the rollercoaster - and I am still waiting for it to stop

MummyNic · 10/11/2009 13:19

Congratulations Yorky. That is wonderful news. I'd love another but our home couldn't fit andother baby in - it's a 2 bed bungalow and the small room is exactly that... You lucky girl xx
