Bloss-my DH is 40 in June but he is not keen on being the centre of attention. Thinking of a dry ski lesson. I doubt we will have another baby as a) I may be too old and b) we have no room for one either in the house or the car. Having fun egging each other on about No 4 though.

Annie-don't work too hard now.

Hope all OK.

Good luck with Uni prep Spin, am jealous. [green] Almond tea sounds Yum. Have just dispatched colleague to get me a starbucks.

Diet going well, have lost 2 pounds this week. Panic over. Not drinking is very boring though.....

Toby can recognise his name but that is about it. Maybe can write a T....Can barely fit in reading practice with H, let alone writing practice with either of them!

Am spending my birthday being pampered at Champneys spin. can't wait.

Stinky, my sis is 43 and she's pg with her sixth. So I guess it's never too late (well not at 41 anyway!) I stand by my earlier opinion though. More than two - nuts! HOpe you are feeling better.

Bloss! Sounds v exciting. 10 years married eh? What's that - diamonds? rubies? no, wait... tin. oh lovely... although the modern one is diamond jewellery apparently.
More importantly what are you doing for your birthday? Well done on the weight loss. I must weigh myself tonight. It really is no good starving yourself all day, you're right you just eat the fridge. Managing to stay off the wine in the evenings this week as well, so far, despite DH guzzling away.

Spin, how'd you persuade DH to get the snip? It would be great if my DH would, but what with his hernia, broken ankle and the other thing, he thinks he's been through enough. Ok then, I'll just pump myself with hormones for another ten years. Mind you, abstinence seems to be working well...
Good luck with the Uni - remind me, what are you studying again?
Hope Roshi likes her ballet, Mimi loves hers!!

Mimi can write 'Mimi' but not Kayley, although saying that I haven't really tried her, I think they've been doing it at nursery. She can recognise Kayley though, and she knows the letters in Mimi if asked. She copies Joey when he's sounding out his words for reading, so it sounds like she can do it!! She sat on the couch the other day and 'read' me Goldilocks and the three Bears!! Looked very convincing...

As for work, well it's ok today, but there's lots coming in in the next few weeks. I've even had several meetings with my boss! He remembered me!! (just...)

Right, best get on. HC hope you are feeling better x x x

Oh I see you are being pampered at Champneys Bloss for your birthday! Nice one.

Ceebee74 · 04/02/2010 21:39

Evening all

Spin - maybe your DH and mine can hold virtual hands as my Dh is now just reluctantly waiting for his appointment for the snip

Bloss - Champneys - nice!! DH has informed me that he will have to work on my birthday this year and will be away which is pretty crap isn't it?? It is one of my working days and I refuse to work so am looking for something to do for myself on that day (before I retreat home for a meal for one ). It is currently a toss up between shopping or a pampering session

Josh is very interested in letters - he can recognise his name, Sam's name, Thomas (of course!). He is always asking me what letter words begin with and can recognise most of the alphabet (not that I test him or anything!) Not so good with the writing though - can do a backwards J and an O and that is about it.

Having another restructure at work so yet more travel for me . I love the people I work with and the job....I just hate the excessive travelling as it wasn't what I signed up to do fgs!! Anyway, enough of my moaning - hope you are all well!!

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 07/02/2010 14:32

Happy Birthday Bloss! Hope you are enjoying your pampering x x x

Bloss - Happy Birthday Hope you have had a lovely day.

It is DH's birthday aswell today so I am just cooking him his fave for tea!

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 09/02/2010 09:29

Morning Ladies.

In 'early' today for a meeting.
Up super-early this morning, as Mimi, so good recently at night at going for wee-wees, completely wet the bed for the first time. Her second night without a night nappy. Oh well...

Hope everyone is well. Bloss hope you had a super birthday. CB hope your DH had a super birthday too! What is his fave tea, just out of interest?
My dad is 86 today!

Ok, snooze meeting time

HumphreysCorner · 09/02/2010 10:59

Happy Birthday to your dad Annie. My dad is 70 this year, only seems like yesterday that we celebrated his 60th and in that time I left home and moved in with DH, got married and had 3 children.

Matthew went in his big cot in his own room last night and was a good boy. Never cried unlike my trial run yesterday when he screamed the whole time.

Big wave! Things to do.

Hi all!

Had a wonderful birthday. Boys were at my sisters' from the night before, so just for once woke up under my own steam, rather than getting ripped out of slumber far too early. That in itself was birthday present enough. Then DH brought me all my cards with a cuppa, I mooched about getting just myself ready, and waltzed off to Champneys for the day - coffee, magazines, snoozing, swimming, gym session, massage, pedicure, and facial. Oh and a delish lunch. With my BFF. Heaven.

It has all gone quiet here again!!!

Hope everyone is ok

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 14/02/2010 22:02

Glad you had a good birthday Bloss, sounds lovely!!!

Fierce busy these days...
All ok though, CB!! Will try and post tomorrow at work...

TheGoddessBlossom · 15/02/2010 13:41

Gosh hasn't it just CB. I refused to post as I was the last one to, a week ago!

So driving back from Salisbury yesterday afternoon, having stayed with MIL and had a big family lunch. DH had a puke virus when he woke up but seemed to rally - but then driving home, both boys vommed all over themselves and car - TWICE! GOd if I hadn't had swimming towels and spare clothes and good old wet wipes god know what I would have done, it was like a horror movie....

ALl seem fine today thank god.

H at day 1 of a footie camp for half term, have been thinking about how he is getting on, wish I could phone and check he is ok. Bless his little heart. He knows no-one although I know he will make loads of friends. I sent him in with a packed lunch fit for a king!

Work very very busy - bit of a sinking ship to be honest, everyone leaving or being fired/made redundnat - I am trundling along as per keeping my head down.

Hope all is well.

I'm here with matchsticks propping my eyes open as the boy is waking every 2 hours

Bloss-what a mess. My DH would have had to go into therapy to get over it. He goes demented at any mark the girls make.

Baking bread which me and the girls have made so better check on it.

Love to all!

HC, it's called toast! Seriously though, hope you get some sleep soon. Mimi is being quite sleepless also these nights and very clingy as well. The in-laws are down for half term and I usually get ignored by my kids but yesterday she was still stuck to me like a sticky thing.

Bloss, sounds yuck, poor boys, hope they're better now. I'm sure Harry will have a great time!!

Mimi has recently started singing lots of songs, which I guess she has learnt at nursery, it's hilarious, she just bursts into song with actions, and you just have to stop and be her audience, so funny. She also counts a lot, especially in bed...

Hope everyone else is doing ok

HumphreysCorner · 15/02/2010 20:45

Gone through a red light Will wait for the fine.......

TheGoddessBlossom · 16/02/2010 12:36

Harry's is totally loving footie camp, don't know what I was worried about, and won a player of the day certificate yesterday. So proud of my little man I can't tell you, not so much for the certificate although of course that is great - just that he has no qualms about meeting new people, going in to places where he knows no-one, just joins in, has fun, and is a good boy. I heart Harry.

Work mental again, as they keep firing people and giving me their work.

Sorry about burnt red and bread light HC.

I am having a "Bag and Boot" party on Thursday night, 16 women coming to my house to eat nibbles, drink wine and buy bags and boots. Can you think of a more pleasant way to spend an eveing?

Bloss

HumphreysCorner · 16/02/2010 13:39

Sorry that work is dodgy and you are overloaded Bloss. Can't be easy. Harry is such a star, bless. Enjoy your bag evening, sounds great!

Calmer day today as girls are at MIL's. M is full of cold so extra clingy.

Big wave!

Aw, that is lovely spin. I wish my 2 didn't have to wear black ballet gear without a tutu in sight. You are so busy with the children's activities.

Half term flying by. Sophie has an annoying (for me) cough which really echos at night. Poor girl.

Meeting another friend at the same play pub as I met friens yesterday. It was busy and smelly so not really looking forward to it.

Hope all OK.

Spin, that's so cute!! You're so busy, I can't keep up. It makes time fly by.

Joey spewed up last night, and so did MIL! can't figure out what it might have been...

DH's plaster is coming off today. He'll still have a splint and crutches for another month though. But we are going to the pub anyway to celebrate. Any excuse...

Bloss, how was your Bag&Boot party? Sounds brilliant!! Do you make money out of it? Or is it just for fun?
