All snow still everywhere here. More snow today although nothing significant and it does finally appear to be sllloooooooooooowly melting. Walked to Church this morning with H, then Dh and T met us and we went for a walk round a local lake. Complete white out everywhere, unreal.

I am going to try to get to London tomorrow, need to get some work done and just can't at hhome with DH moping about, and the schools mmay still be closed tomorrow.

Hi Wallace! [waves] I cannot believe T will start school this year, ridiculous really, still such a baby. He's still in pull ups at night for goodness sake!

Diet is not going well - DH made the most ENORMOUS fish pie last night that will feed us for a week, totally delicious, but DH does not "do" low fat - cream, butter, full fat milk galore. Mind you the amount of walking I am doing you'd think it would fall off but no.....

Started watching Season 1 of Heroes that I got for Xmas - really good!

Algach, sorry to hear about DS's flight, how frustrating!

AnnieOneForMulledWine · 11/01/2010 10:54

Hi girls

Still snowy here but Joey is back at school this morning so it's not so bad. Trains running ok as well, though a bit more packed than I'm used to!!
Mimi has turned into a dressing-up princess - insists on choosing her own clothes, wears jewellery, gets upset if I wear jeans instead of a pretty dress...
Still in night nappies as well, Bloss, though has been dry the last few morning. Get to hear the 'maaaaaaa-mmeeeee' a few times in the night now when she needs to wee.

The diet starts today!!! Got the birthday celebrations over with yesterday (a week late, but there you go, DH was moaning that I dragged it out too much, but he feckin organised it!). We had a huge barney over nothing again, and my eyes are still puffy from all the crying... We're speaking but...

We went to see the Gruffalo on Saturday in Picadilly!! It was great!! Only an hour long, less even, but it was great, worth the trek I think.

Algach, hope DS is home by now.

Bloss, good luck if you go into London today! It's not so bad, really!

Spin. 40 Degrees? Bet you don't miss Hampstead Heath now!!

Wallace good to hear from you... Yep school in 9 months!!

HC, hope you make safely to Tesco and back!!

Helloooooooooooo to everyone else

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 11/01/2010 10:57

Time to lose the Xmas name methinks.

HumphreysCorner · 11/01/2010 13:01

Snow gone!!!!!! Left with miserable rain.

Good luck with the dieting Annie as I failed last week. Have eaten far too much and feel so bloated. Have been better today as I've not had 6 any chocolate biscuits.

Sophie has no interest in being dry at night, her nappies are always heavy. She doesn't wake up so heaven knows how we will crack this one.

DH coming home for lunch so better get him a sandwich. Love to all.

I posted earlier and lost it!

Lost 2 pounds by being incredibly boring.

Tried to get to London today but roads were gridlocked so aborted mission. Thank god school and nursery was open!

PixelHerder · 11/01/2010 16:53

Hi all - snow melting here too, though still can't believe we got any in the first place and that it's lasted nearly a week! The lawn's still totally covered though, and the pavements icy/slushy.

Am post-Christmas lardy(er) as well, so am joining the healthy(ish)-living club too, yawn. It seems like we've just been lazing around the house for a month now, with the odd token walk thrown in. Not that I'm usually all that active anyway but at least I used to have to get up and go to toddler groups/pre-school drop offs etc. Still, all back to normal tomorrow I think as pre-school's open again.

Emma's still in night nappies, we haven't attempted ditching them yet (mainly due to apathy). They are always full, but I think she's really conscious of whether she's wearing one or not, and has no qualms about weeing in it if it's there! She's generally very good during the day though, apart from the odd slight leak if she waits too long to go.

It seems mad re school, doesn't it They start full on 9am-3pm here in Sept, so no gradual intro.

Bloss, if your CM can't help, might it be an option for T to play at a friend's house after school on a couple of the days, if you can come to a reciprocal arrangement / recompense deal of some sort?

Hugs Annie xx Oh and thanks for the tea tree shampoo tip, I'm trying it out. Not that I'd really know a nit if I saw it, hopefully it'll be a useful precaution.

Good luck with the nit eradicating HC, those little blighters are persistent, aren't they!

Hey get you with the pole dancing Agalch! You'll be skinny as anything in no time.

Gotta dash, big wave to all xxx

agalchchangedhername · 14/01/2010 07:09

Oh FFS it's is snowing here agian. Not hugely but cars covered and it's lying on the roads etc. Makes my job very difficult argghhh!!!!
No baby today tho thank god lol.

Gotta think of something to get for ds1's gf's 18th tomorrow. Was thinking about a voucher for River Island or whatever? Would that be too impersonal do you think? Clothes shopping is her fave thing.

Better go get organised as mindee due here 10 mins ago and could be here any time now.

Hope alls well with everyone xxx

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 14/01/2010 09:50

Hi girls
RAIN here! Everything's gone slushy. Mimi got soaked on the way to nursery, they said they'd lend her some trousers! My feet were sopping...

Morning off, what should I do?!?! Bake, clean, washing? ...

Mimi came home yesterday singing 'London's burning, London's burning, call the engines, call the engines, pour the water, pour the water' all perfectly in tune!! And today she was asking where the fire was (as opposed to the snow...) Bless her.

Right well. Tea.

HumphreysCorner · 14/01/2010 10:16

agalch-Next voucher or River Island definitely and is not impersonal. Nephews & SIL always want vouchers now.

Just made spag bol and now having a cuppa while I feed the ever hungry Matthew. Icy here today but going to rain la ter. Emma still got nits so have asked for another note to go out to parents.

Going to wait until M sleeps through the night before I tackle Sophie's night nappies as I don't want to be up changing sheets. She promised last night to get up and wee but she didn't.

Have a good one!

Great pix Spin, love that first one, what the hell are they? Want to eat them.

Will post pix soon, they are on other lap top, got some great ones of the snow.

Heard today we can expect more between now and April, deep joy.

Got my New Look order through today, bought this and this and this. Bit of splurge but had some vouchers for Christmas.

Good weekend, bought a huge TV for a living room, looks like a blooming cinema. T had a party this morning, and then I took them both swimming and to soft play. We are all exhausted now!

Have a great week all.

Bloss

TheGoddessBlossom · 17/01/2010 18:31

I bought the jumper in the red and blue by the way, just in case you gave a shit!

HumphreysCorner · 17/01/2010 20:04

spin-can't believe how much older R seems than Sophie. Chi is so handsome, you will be fighting the girlies off. Sounds like you had a fab time.

Bloss-we have bought a 42 inch TV 2 weeks ago. Out of stock so on back order. Got fed up of not being able to see our 10 year old TV. Nice clothes BTW but they would show all my lumps and bumps.

Must, must put some pics on.

Just checking in! Been away this weekend so things were a bit hectic last week - first time away in a hotel with both boys and about how much stuff we had to take just for one night!!

Bloss - love the second knitted dress (particularly in pink) - am quite tempted myself but, as HC said, would cling in all the wrong places!

Spin - gorgeous photos (as ever!) Glad you had a good time. Snow all gone her (at last) I was starting to get fed up of struggling to get the car out of the street!!

Annie - Josh loves singing and he is getting more and more in tune every time. He has even started making up his own songs - and then asks me and DH to sing them with him

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 18/01/2010 10:54

Hello ladies!!
Welcome back Spin, great photos - Chi has grown up hasn't he!? Must be the shorter hair. Roshi is a beaut.

Bloss, very nice clothes. You always exhaust me with all your activities. x

CB, it's so funny isn't it - singing and generally being a little drama queen (or king!)

Mimi had her first ballet lesson on Saturday, she liked it, but refused to join in the skipping at the end 'cos everyone was doing it'. I didn't get to see the class but the lovely teacher told me afterwards.
Then we had a party in the afternoon at her friend's house, and ended up staying Very Late there, and coming home DH fell over the kerb and broke his ankle! Whoops!!
He spent the night in agony with ice on it, and in the morning we went to Casualty and he got crutched. The best part was though, he phoned his mum up and arranged for her to come down on a bus to look after him - just so I wouldn't have to take time off work. How kind of him! He knew he'd get no sympathy off me that's why!!
So in-laws are down for the foreseeable...

But hey...

TheGoddessBlossom · 18/01/2010 19:36

OMG Annie, I can't believe he broke his ankle what a fuckwit! And poor you having the inlaws to stay. Sympathies.

hoping this link works to the snowtos (see what I did there?

HumphreysCorner · 18/01/2010 21:02

Annie-your poor DH. What an unfortunate accident.

Bloss-like the snowtos.

Hustle next so catch y'as later!

ladytophamhat · 19/01/2010 08:32

hey everyone!
sorry long time away - will stick to this year's resolution of posting more regularly....
in Joburg now - settled into serviced apartment - bit tough on the boys as barely any outside space but we have at least signed a lease on a house so we'll be in there at the start of feb.
all good here - will post more later and some photos if i can!

HumphreysCorner · 19/01/2010 09:22

Have been following your progress on FB LTH, so pleased all is going well. Such a big upheaval but you are all coping admirably. Can't wait to see some pics.

Matthew woke ar 2,4 and 6am and some lovely dog owner has allowed their dog to poo on our block paving.

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 19/01/2010 16:25

LOL Bloss, what a fuckwit is right!! You sound just like my friend, only she said 'the fecking eejit'!! Love the snowtos, though I needed HCs post to unnerstand what you did there. Very handsome boys, all three!

HC I love Hustle too!! Isn't the girl Just Like Kylie though (did you see it last week?)

LadyT Glad you're settling, hope you don't miss home too much! Can we all come and stay for the world cup? Not that I care about football any more, but some SUN would be nice!!

Right, off home to see what's what with the invalid. Think the boiler's on the blink as well now. Sigh...

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/01/2010 20:39

Annie - "see what I did there" ie Snowtos? Snow? Photos? Hello? Are you drunk?

Man I am busy at work - which is great, better than being bored. Bust starting to encroach on the whole sqaush, being at home to do washing aspect, and too much bloody time commuting to Laaandaan taaan.....

Mind you, having to be very careful to be seen to be very diligent - 4 more people being made redundant this week, including sales.......

Can't watch this Haiti footage - jesus do you ever think about accidents of birth and where you COULD have been born and the life you could have had as a result?

have decided I could never do baby number 3. My heart is split 3 ways as it is, no room for any more.....

Bloss
