Morning!
Got back from our trip yo York late last night. We had a great time and DS was a superstar He was much easier on the journeys than I expected and was on good form all weekend!
It was great meeting Momino, Harper and the family. Harper is so cute and Momino (you lovely lady!), thank you for being so welcoming when you had so much else to be doing too.

Shock of the weekend was noticing O's first tooth poking through his bottom gum on Friday afternoon

Momino - glad your weekend went so well. Elbow choir???!!! Wow!

Grumpy - it doesn't sound easy... If only she were like one of your B&B guests!

Right, will go and try and catch up on everything else now!

well, trip to doctor cancelled. couldn't get an appointment for dd1 so taking her on Thu. cancelled H's jabs as it's too far (almost 2 mile to walk each way) to go with 3 at an awkward time. I've registered the girls at a more local GP surgery so will do Harper's jabs in another week. it's not bad to be a few weeks late for jabs is it?

belgian, good luck with ebay! with 56 people watching it's bound to do well.

pula, i love kissing Harper's face which closes her eyes. I also just stroke between her eyes.

reebee, good luck with all going on - house, DH job, poorly dog, etc etc. hope all goes well.

ladyH, glad you had a fantastic time at Coldplay.

ses, cross posted. glad your back safe and sound and had a good weekend. it was great to meet you and your friend and so wonderful to meet Owen as well. he was so chilled! can't believe he's got a tooth as well, wow!

Good morning all,

Back from a fantastic week near Whitby. Our caravan was on a little farm in the middle of nowhere (once off the public road, another 3-4 minutes drive down a long track). We had sheep in our 'garden', hens and ducks and geese laying eggs for us. It was perfect. We did lots of walking, but poor little E's cheeks were very rosy and are now quite rough after all that time in the baby bjorn! Photos on facebook soon! The caravan was pretty cold at night and I think as a result of this E woke up 4 or 5 times a night. I ended up sleeping with her (partly because me and DH couldn't fit in the same small bed!) The first night back home she also woke 4 times and I was worried that this was the shape of things to come, but last night she was back to waking just 2 times, much to my relief!

Have tried to catch up a bit, but not fully.

Periods, I very fortunately got mine back the day before we went to a festival. Lovely! And I think I felt myself ovulate a couple of days ago, so am expecting another anytime! boo!

Gill Rapley book and preaching - I understand. I have to bite my tongue when anyone mentions it. I just offer the book to people to borrow! Then once they have read it we can preach to each other!

Cat called Keith - lovely name! We've had a Fred, a Dorothy and currently have a Sid. I love my cats!

Today we start baby massage with our group of new mums and babies. Really looking forward to it.

Just had new jeans delivered from la redoubte. Very pleased with them. Side fastening and all one colour (no fading). Spot on! By the way, on Martin Lewis money saving email last week there was a link to gap and if you register now you get a printable voucher for 30% off for this week. www.gapcorporateinvite.com/fall09/en/?advertiserid=2

Momino how amazing the choir experience must have been. I'm sure it doesn't matter about the jabs; DS1 was late for all of his due to various colds.

Grumpy hang in there!

sleeping G is sleeping wonderfully. Wish I could say the same for DS1 who is not sleeping well at all. He is waking up several times a night and ended up in our bed at 4.30am. Grr.

Day 2 of my swim challenge has gone well. 1 mile down...21 to go! I loved it this morning. I had the pool to myself, the sun shining through the windows and no golfers outside spoiling the lovely view. I've realised just how much I need some "me time" and although it is only an hour it makes such a difference.

Momino · 21/09/2009 10:33

llareggub, swimming sounds glorious. am very impressed at your challenge of 22 miles . what do you do for babysitting?

oops, gotta go - baby just exploded on my lap!

frazzledoldbag · 21/09/2009 10:50

Well hello there strangers...........
[bag on head to hide shame of rubbish Mnetting]
Am amazed you all have time to chat so much but lovely to 'see ' you all again. I have been mainly lurking on FB and don't have time to do both. But anyway 'HELLO'. Have just read the last few pages and am now exhausted. Will come back and write something useful sooon.
Hope you are all well and babies are good.

llareggub · 21/09/2009 11:18

I go in the morning before DH goes to work. There is a creche there but it seems pointless using it if DH can hang on.

I have made a hideous discovery. Maggots in the bin outside. I'm quaking in my boots. I hate them more than anything.

Glad you had a good holiday Gert our posts crossed earlier.

Gert2a · 21/09/2009 12:22

llare your swimming marathon sounds amazing. Good for you! I so enjoyed climbing up hills and down dales whilst on holiday, am looking forward to getting out with the pram around the local streets now we're back! And you're so right about having just an hour to yourself is so therapeutic. I've got a hair appointment on Friday and I just can't wait to have that hour to myself.
