Spotty-cerise pink?

Right, have read the 3 PAGES OF CHAT since I got kicked off signed off last night and forgotten it all except whoever was reading Cloud Atlas, stick with it I thought it was brilliant and I love the future bits . Speaking of literary stuff DH and I have spent the afternoon at the IL's trying to book tickets for various events at the Cheltenham literature festival....bloody website is appalling and slow and then phoneline just as rubbish. So far only got one thing booked .

Had a great day at IL's with a nice (healthy) roast dinner and playing in the garden with the DC's. Went shopping for a new sofa this morning and have found one we like but not sure whether to order yet till we exchange contracts, there is a 10 week delay on orders so could be 8 weeks without sofa??!

MissJ-Festival sounds lush, we would well be up for that next year. Bless Nye loving the roadie lifestyle.

ray- Glad OH back, hope you sort something, even if only temporary. Could you move back to your house near your parents temporarily whilst looking?/ Not ideal but about an hour and a bit commute for your OH rather than the round trip he has just done to see you!

News- at proper bra, I soooooooneed some new ones but am holding out till DS stops wanting boob (hopefully some time this decade)

missjackson · 23/08/2009 19:05

Bought this bra last week - underwired nursing bra! Feels sooooo supportive and makes boobs look soooo much better - lift and separate, ladies! Was 15 quid cheaper in the shop for some reason and I think you need them to size you up really. Has seriously changed my attitude to continuing bf-ing!

V at that bra. No such stuff around here or would be tempted for sure!

Chinese yum. It was so hot there though, it's been boiling here today, and really windy. Odd!
H temp up again. Am keeping calpol in business!

Pat - sounds like nice day, can we nosey see new sofa??

Dog - hope better night chuck.

PatTheHammer · 23/08/2009 21:04

Right, well the picture isn't great and its the wrong colour (we are thinking darker brown) but we liked the distressed leather and it was v.comfortable. I am a bit that it is from DFS as I hate them but we are so skint that we need a 0% credit plan to pay it off gradually. Tried 3 places today but most of the nice ones were fabric and I don't want that as our fabric ones have been ruined by the DC's, so we are going for something dark and wipeable!here.

We are getting the 2 seater too.

Any other ideas for anywhere cheap (i.e not Laura Ashley which I love or that does credit plans are truly more than welcome.

Dog, sorry for your crappy day, holes at the beach sound fun though, am so very at the beach..........

Soccerette · 23/08/2009 21:06

news have added to list, although i think you all know who i am!

Pat We are working on some kind of solution. Have emailed the vendors of some REALLY nice houses on the market to SELL in the hope one of them will rent. Have massive gut feeling that buying is NOT a good idea. With 3 houses in 3 years, i feel the stamp duty would just be squandered! Found a company who specailises in relocation leases, But... your talking £100 a night for a 2 bed flat, not even a particuarly special one! Am thinking of heading off to stay with parents at least for a few days. problem is, bless them, although i adore them, i am a person who REALLY needs their own space. So i think i will just be down there when OH has time off, so he can get to us easily, rather than the mission he's done today- bless him.

Missj you have reminded me to buy new bras! We are back down to a slightly more humaine size of 32 F, got measured other day. Is it OK to wear a wired non nursing bra now in the day? Esme only feeds from me morning and night, i express the 2nd side she doesn't have in the AM which she has about 2pm. Is the no underwired business just when milk establishing?

Dog It is hard, but, best for us in the long run. Just a bit emotional being a single momma! Our families don't live nearby, and while i have a few good friends, and they are lovely, its not the same as having OH to bath Esme so can have 5 mins off kind of thing! We had a rough night last night too... think maybe Teething, or maybe just sensing something is unsettled? Who knows!

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 21:28

Oh Soccerette. Hang in there.

Pat - I like! We got our 2 at sofasofa for the princely sum of £300 each. They are blatent laura Ashley rip offs. I dunno if they do leather.

Ebay have 2 or 3 sellers that do M&S and Laura Ashley overstock. We got some chairs form them at massively reduced price, something like £250 instead of £800! If you get the name of the sofa you want and search the old fleabay then they might just have your dream sofa. You never know!

H is in her cot bed!

We have had to take down my dressing table for now, so the cot sit in that corner, and dd1 has manfully agreed to sleep on the floor as the cotbed was her bed. She is on 8 big floor cushions and looks as snug as a bug in a rub. The bunks will arrive in 6 weeks so until then she is 'camping'

It's lovely to have the cot up. But sobs at packing up the wooden crib we had made and the ambynest.

Can't decided weather the sell the Amby or stash for a ?dc3?. Will probably sell.......sniff......

Have dug out the glorious bedding I got for this very moment, and put it on. Well, the sheet anyway.

Have just realised I got a single bed and cotbed matching set from white company, not 2 lots of single. Bugger. Ah well, dd2 will have a cotbed duvet and like it, when she goes in the bottom bunk......

I know, its a big ask to give up your bed isn't it? She just does it, I think she has a warm heart - she wants to help H. Bless!! I could get tears......

Mind you she has clearly stipulated she will not have her playroom turned into a bedroom for her or H, so it ends there! Dunno how it will go when H is mobile and wanting to claim her stake on the toys!

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 22:18

Pat - this is where we got our cheap LA stuff. There are others on ebay though.

chefswife · 24/08/2009 06:46

spottywotwot White.

pat I broke down and bought two new nursing bras and they feel fabulous. I can't believe I waited for so long. I think I just got a shopping bug. this bra The straps are very comfortable however the only downfall is it is a high bra and limits what you can wear.

Oh my god... I'm falling asleep

morning

my mum is over today i have a smear test @ 4:30pm would have been seeing michael jackson @ 02 arean tonite

hackneyzoo · 24/08/2009 09:42

Morning everyone.
Nice sofa pat, am , our sofas were 50 quid jobs off ebay as thye are covered in dog/children all day. I dream of nice furniture. Talking of furniture Moose I know you linked this for me before but I can't find it on the previous threads... could you point me in the direction of those nice white bunkbeds...we get to get new beds for the DCs from the insurance...yay! And new bedding too, think I might find myself doing a little internet shopping this week.
News DD1 sounds very sweet to be giving up her bed....we had to bribe/trick DD1 and even then she wasn't fooled!
Soccorette How is the house hunting going. Sorry you are having a tough time being away from DH. I hope something turns up soon.
Boden Hope the smear goes ok. Have a good day with your mum.

Lush bras... I bought this one a few weeks ago, in a 34F , but it was the prettiest one I could find in a big size...not much good for those BF though. MissJ Those Anita bras are great, they were the only ones that fitted and supported me properly when I was BF/ pregnant. I have a black BF one in a 34 F if anyone needs it....let me know and I can stick it in the post.

Dog Hope you had a better night with DS. LOL at your 'reprobate' children!

On day 4 of potty training with DD, not going to badly...lots of wee on the carpet and am off out to Marks to stock up on more knickers..12 pairs clearly are not enough.

Just got a call from the hospital and they have bought Jude's appointment forward to Thursday, which is great news. Since I took him to the docs he is using his left arm quite a bit more, but there is still a noticable problem there.

Saw my friend's 10 day old baby girl yesterday, she was tiny, 5 pounds, but completely gorgeous...trying to pluck up the courage to have a DC3 conversation with DH, sometimes he is really keen on 3 dcs and other times the thought of it makes him go pale and feint.

Right, off to do something useful like put away crazy clothes mountain that has taken residence in our bedroom.

newspaperdelivery · 24/08/2009 12:40

Thats good Hackney. I'm glad. It's something I have no experience of tbh, except for seeing it a few times on the ward. I hope the appointment goes smoothly for you .

That bra is beautiful - have an

That bf bra looks comfy. I don't think I can justify it for a couple more months......can I? Plus nowhere I can be measured.

Our bunks were from M&S bacause they were £319 delivered, assembled, with mattreses. i think that rocks! Can't wait to see them!

stripeyloathestheDM · 24/08/2009 12:50

i was just going to post, but no, i am required by the Infanta... back later.

Ello Dog, will FB you!

newspaperdelivery · 24/08/2009 14:51

I didn't realise your bunks were on insurance Hackney!! In that case the white company ones are designed so an adult can sit up properely on the bottom bunk for reading bedtime stories etc, without bopping your head. See if they will get you those!! I think there might be a truckle available too for sleep overs fab!

Sounds like a nice day dog.

bodenaddict · 24/08/2009 15:03

hi ladies
