ooo yes I love those cots.

The bunk beds are fab, sadly 3 times as much as m&s ones!

Test. Please.

Dh is coming round to a third, he just says 'maybe' now and look down, instead of saying 'I don't know' and looking scared!

No periods here. Woo Hooooooooooooooooooo!

I know but it's such fun......

Mind you we were having the uni conversation last night. Apparently it costs about 28k to go through uni these days.

We would need to save approx £300 per month to have the funds to put both dc's through at that estimate. Gaawd help 'em.

More female plumers. Thats what is needed. I think mine should have a 'ginger birds are great plummers' type business together.

Yeeees. I like it!

Would struggle to get bunks in our playroom though.

Is it wrong to consider not having a third as we don't want to loose that room????

HI all, quick post,

DD weighs 20lb 3oz!

M+D came up and I kept my nerve, stood up to them and the dogs stayed out of the living room. Hurrah for backbone!

DD does have egg allergy.

No sleep for us last night am going slowly mad!!!!!!!

newspaperdelivery · 24/08/2009 16:08

Triple bunk beds
I have a strong feeling that a 3rd would be a boy. I know exactly what he would look like [I knew the girls were girls and I knew they would look like they do]

I feel a bit sad that that person I know wouldn't be about the place you know? Ooooo I don't know.

warning: the following is looooon and boring.

See, we use this house in an odd way. Its a 3 story town house/terrace type Victorian thing. SO it had the front and back rooms, with the kitchen at the back in the extension and bathroom over that - like they all do. The 3rd floor is in the roof space, with gables. Fab, we love it.
Its 4 bed.

So what we did, because there is not much outside space, is this - we turned the kitchen into a store room/bicycle room for dh [he has 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]The bugger got FRench doors opening out into the yard!

We knocked through the front and back room into one big room. It has a new back door and a bay front. It has 2 floppy chairs, the kitchen, a big table and a wood burning stove. Its the family room and a total tip. But 30ft long and great as we are all together in it.

Up stairs where big bedroom 1 is - we turned into a lounge. Grown up and formal, 2 sofas and a fireplace. The Georgians did it so we figured good enough for us! Next door the single bedroom is a playroom.

Above on the 3rd floor is dds room and ours.

So. If I could just get dh to sell his bikes and take up tiddlywinks as a hobby, I could probably move the lounge to the old kitchen [more of a tv room, lounge would be too grand a word for it as it would be small] and then dh and I could have a fab fab 3 window large bedroom, and we would be back to a 3 bed plus playroom.

But our lounge would be in the back in a small converted kitchen. And dh would miss his bikes.

I wish we could afford to buy a lock up. That would rock.

End rambling.

newspaperdelivery · 24/08/2009 16:09

Wow look at the size of my post!

Am sorry dd has egg allergy. Pants! Why no sleep?

Hurrah for no poo on carpet.

furrymonster · 24/08/2009 16:17

giant post newspaper! house sounds lovely.

DD wakes up all the time and we are at a loss as to what to do. I think she is waking because of normal sleep cycle stuff and wanting dummy giving back to her. It can take ages to settle her back down though and sometimes its every hour .

We have put her in her own room and she does very occasionally settle herself by the time we get to her but it is very very occasionally.

The worst is when we settle her, get back in bed and as soon as our head touches the pillow she wakes again, that can happen 5-10 time in a row.

We are sooooooo tired its untrue!!

furrymonster · 24/08/2009 16:19

Hee hee DH has fallen asleep on living room floor! Would it be childish to draw a tash on him?

PatTheHammer · 24/08/2009 16:37

Quickly bookmarking, have had a fab day with a friend at Roves Farm park. really nice place and virtously avoided the lovely looking cake. Also, wore my OLD jeans today. they were a squeeze but hey!

BTW cannot believe those of you already considering a 3rd DC!!!!!!!!! Think if ever had one he or she would be one last fling with babydom after these two monsters were well and truly at school

furrymonster · 24/08/2009 16:43

pat wow old jeans! I'm struggling to lose any weight at all! Are there any weight loss forums do you know? Day at farm sounds good.

PatTheHammer · 24/08/2009 16:51

Furry get on our January weight loss thread, it is in the big/slim/whatever weight loss topic. Always room for one more! Today is a good day to join as its weigh in day.

news-thanks for those links, really tempted by a king-size bed on there. Your house sounds lovely, especially the big family room. Could you perhaps get one of those big metal sheds for DH's bikes, turn your extension into a playroom, move your bed into your lounge and have the single bedromm as a cosy study/snug? Or is it really small? that would leave 2 beds upstairs for at least 2 more boys

Dog-LOL at 20 kids, when are you moving to a shoe Messy play sounds great, I love that sort of stuff!

PatTheHammer · 24/08/2009 17:01

Oh- and a footnote to the old jeans:

They were not the smallest pair of old jeans that I own, I have plenty more that I can't fit into. And when I say they were a squeeze I had to be shoe-horned in and barely ate anything all day because of the danger of bursting out.

Still.....baby steps. Only another 24 odd pounds to go

bodenaddict · 24/08/2009 17:32

old jeans is old jeans pat even with shoe horn! I will join the weight loss thread, thanks! I will however have to stand next to dog and give you evils!

Gumps · 24/08/2009 19:53

Hello all. An interesting day on the thread.
Dog put us out of our misery and get that test. God we all seem more bothered than you do! I am totally obsessed with whether or not to have one more dc and therefore become obsessed about other people's no of children too. I swing from one day to the next but if I am going to do it then I am going to do it in Jan as want them close. Can someone else please decide for me? Will make pros and cons list after this post.
I want those m&s bunkbeds they are a bargain. However scared about moving ds1 out of cot as couldn't cope with any more lack of sleep. S is being a nightmare and his reflux symptoms seem to have come back with a vengance, which is weird as the hospial upped his meds. I have introduced a little bit of wheat as he is over 8 mo now. Could that be it?
HKZ go big if it's on the insurance! Def white company yourself up - beds, sheets, pillows the works!
soccer rubbish for you. Did 5 months apart from dh when preggers and that was hard so never mind with Esme. Wy not look for a mothers help for 2 hours a day betwwn say 4 and 6. Lots of people round here d it as dhs all work in the city. God bathing 3 alone...
Pat you legend! Old jeans - well done you. I have some super skinnies that I look at in my wardrobe and think not yet unless they are to be jeggings.
Kitty have you spoken to you hv for advice? Think it could be time to consult a pro. Or you could get a night nanny for one night and see if they come up with any bright ideas. Also give you a nights sleep. Oh yes to tashe drawing

DH off all work, but sadly still has to train. we went to horton park farm today which was ace. Tomorrow we have a group picnic with nct friends and then a night out. Yes! Going to a fab posh restaurant that I have always wanted to go to. It's on the river and looks lush. Friend we are going with is preggers so they are picking us up. I feel a headache coming on...

120cms · 24/08/2009 19:59

pat and furry, please do a link and I'll come and join the weight loss thread too!

Gumps · 24/08/2009 20:03

Ok...
Cons
Being pregnant again and having to look after 2 ds
Worry about pregnancy (ds2 had cysts and worried for whole pregnancy)
Am I pushing my luck as ds2 all ok?
House has 4 beds but 1 a study and too small for a bedroom
Expense of another child especially if as dh wants (I don't) they go to private school
Sis might get preggers soon and don't want to steal her thunder
Boys get on so well, would another one upset the balance?
3 too much for grandparents to handle so would get less support?
I only have 2 hands, where does the third one go?!
New car
Bound to be another boy and have seriously run out of boys names
Chance of reflux reoccuring in another child = hell
Porb be told to bf longer due to allergies = hell (sorry)

Pros
Get license to shop for new things!
We have everything so not too much cost when little (obviously in complete opposite to post above but hey!)
Won't affect time to myself as have none as it is!
Def reason to redecorate the playroom which I am desperate to do
(whispers) could be a girl but def not reason on own to have one
...and finally of course another goregous child (which should have a million stars by it)

So as I said please decide for me someone. If someone could hand me a 6 week old I would have one tomorrow.

I really think I do want to (today!) just main worry is that all will be ok with baby after scares with S. Guess though everyone feels like that no matter what number baby it is?
Ok problem no 2 .. how to convince dh!
Problem no 3 ... get S to sleep so have energy to 'create' no 3!
