I won't be much help Pat I've never grown anything other than cress in an old eggshell with a face on before - am very keen though. We'll muddle through together.

Have just peeked at the weightloss thread. Will sign up soon, batteries have gone in my scales so have no idea where I am with my weight now.

News why is your mum's bath and bed in the garden? Btw if you took all the cheese off, there probably won't be any more dairy than in your average cup of tea. Sure H will be fine.

My sister had a dozen rescued battery chickens for about a year before Mr Fox had a very big dinner one night. She used to get fed up of them coming in the kitchen and pooing on the worksurfaces. Her cockerel was cool though, he was huge with fluffy bloomers (although apparently no match for Mr Fox).

Dog lol at Isla being overstimulated by a necklace! I too find myself getting very excited in jewellery shops.
Think could be long (sorry make that short) night AGAIN so offski.
DH off next week - yaya!
Bollocks was for he woke again not the burp. Although 3 hours after feed is a bit random.

gumps I love the x-factor!

I want chickens!!!!!!!! Can't have them though as have cottage garden at mo. half of it soon to be pulled up and donated to community gdn though as is poisonous. Is gonna be a lawn eventually, with a rockery and possible veggie patch.

moosemama · 22/08/2009 22:12

Right, had better go. Everyone's in bed except me and I have yet to express (milk is now back up to full suppy and in fact runneth over at the moment). Dh wandered off about half an hour ago muttering something about 'bloody mn'!

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:13

Oh no it's a sad animal awareness night. Poor chooks getting eaten. DH would love chickens but not sure how he is going to respond to the fish. Had a whole conversation with my sis about the value of fish as she said if they are a pain you can put them in the river at the bottom of the garden. I said they would die. She said they only cost a pound each so who cared? I said how much did she think she was worth and goldfish had feelings too. Dog we are on same wavelength! Her true colous came out early though as we had fish as kids; she flushed hers while mine got burried in a match box. Mine was called Groli after the 2 boys I fancied at school, Graham and Oli. Good times.

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:15

LOL at Groli. I'm with you on the fish solidarity.

Now get off MN the lot of you

furrymonster · 22/08/2009 22:18

Oh no! poor fishy. we get people in my work who are of the same opinion. I say they can't adopt the fish unless they have all the correct equipment and set it up correctly with water tests if they have had a previous water problem and they argue with me saying that they can always come and get more when they die. I say NO! I ask if they would do the same if it were a dog or a rabbit.

moosemama · 22/08/2009 22:18

I was barefoot (much gentler than Dog).

furrymonster · 22/08/2009 22:20

dwarf hamsters are evil. Of all the rodents hamsters have the most evil of evil streaks.

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:24

You are a bad influence.

moosemama · 22/08/2009 22:24

furry handcuffs?! Isn't that a bit tmi?

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:24

We could chain to each other if no railings

moosemama · 22/08/2009 22:25

I have an excuse, still expressing.

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:25

Furry hancuffs... now that takes me back... and pink too!

furrymonster · 22/08/2009 22:27

kinky! maybe tough for moose to express if we are all chained together.

Gumps · 22/08/2009 22:28

Ok seriously off but I go with a smile on my face thinking of Moose squirting us in the eye with breastmilk...
