tr newspaper, sorry to hear about your poor little sickies.

wow, tink, b is tall and slim, eh?

elkiedee · 20/08/2009 11:05

MissJ, the baby screenings are on Wednesday mornings, the point is that it doesn't matter if baby sits still/keeps quiet, everyone there is in the same boat, and the audience was small, probably about 15 adults this time, only about 6 last time, so you have lots of space to sit in. I have to say though that this film (Sin Nombre) was very good but had some very violent scenes, many between teenagers and an even younger character. I was glad he was feeding during most of those scenes. Next week's film Everlasting Moments sounds a bit gentler.

Dog, good to hear SALT was reassuring.

fourlittlefeet · 20/08/2009 11:06

new business is quite apt given dog's current status . am very proud of it, but would love to hear comments or ideas as it is still v new! (when I spend all my time on here again, you'll know its less shiny!).
This is the link!

news; is that the dreaded pig virus your little ones have got?

xx

elkiedee · 20/08/2009 11:10

What do others use to get stains out of clothes? Most of C and D's clothes have washed remarkably well, but I've got a lot of them into the wash fairly quickly. I have a few really nice white with print design vests of Conor's which were left out of the washing for too long and washing and line drying isn't shifting the stains. I know it would have been better for them to be done sooner etc.

Does anyone use soda crystals?

elkiedee · 20/08/2009 11:13

Congratulations on the business flf, hope it does well.

fourlittlefeet · 20/08/2009 11:15

thank you elkie!

I use a pink vanish prewash spray which goes on all suspect stains!

EachPeachPearMum · 20/08/2009 11:29

Oh my word... news do you realise that you are actually quoted in this weeks DM "this week on mn" farceticle?

They have changed your username slightly, and your words (type of crisps, sweets...) but it is YOU!

EachPeachPearMum · 20/08/2009 11:35

elkie anything bad, I soak in napisan (well- used to use boots' own, but cannot get it anymore... switched to napisan) It seems to work well.
I also have a vanish stick which is fairly good, plus oxyclean stuff, but I have found that better on the kitchen floor than clothes!

Sunshine is great too... but doesn't seem to be readily to hand most days

flf love the look of those posters!

tink blimey- dd2 is amazingly slender then! 91st height, 2nd weight... you've got a supermodel on your hands!

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 11:46

I know EPPM

In the thread context I was agreeing to the idea that some people do need some pretty simple positive health promotion as they are genuinely not aware that kids need a drink at lunch. As I witnessed at preschool. In the fecking DM it makes it sound like I am a right....well...DM reader. They do not give the arguments about the issues we discussed at all.

See how dangerous the press is, imagine if that was a qoute where I gave percieved bad work related advice!! Or commented on the service. I could be struck off

Who'd be a politician?

4 - will check it out asap!

If anyone wants call me tree in thread feel free. It's been my nickname for 18 years

Great news about the SALT dog - looking forward to hearing about it.

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 11:48

Sunlight on stains here.

I use soda crystals and about a tablespoon of detergent powder. Usually whatever mil gets us at cash and carry [currently a massive persil nonbio, last onelasted 6 months and cost £10]

qumps · 20/08/2009 12:39

Wow I am on here all the time and the day I am not it all kicks off!
Firstly slightly worried about some posts, especially wedding pic link. How do I go about getting it removed? DH would kill me if anything I said on here got related back to him. Ray thinking you might want to remove some stuff too.
Dog wow wow wow you mentalist! I am presuming if a yes its great news as am sure you wanted more. Was pregnant with ds2 before ds1 was 1. NO WAY am I doing that again, but now sleep is better I am thinkig after Christmas no 3..... Great news about Arlo.
Newpaper it feels like the end of an era with no t.
I am rubbish at washing and can't ever get the stains out. My mum says I put too much in.
Right name change - you will love it!

Yay for Gumps And Yay for another Gump junior soon(ish), what will he be called, Forrest?

Dog-all sound positive from the SALT, although sorry no POSITIVE on the other matter (sorry or relief??).

Newspaper- DD's any better? You are obviously a voice of authority after being quoted in the DM dontcha know .

FLF-business looks great, big well done, hope it goes well.

Stripey- hope you enjoyed cuppa.

Ray- Noticed where your OH is moving to on FB, have you looked around the Chichester area? My parents moved to there and it takes about 45 mins to get back to Albourne and would be a short commute for your OH. there are some lovely places around there too, Bosham, The Witterings, Pagham Harbour to name a few. Hope your search comes up with some good things soon. Oh and you would be close to Tink, she is down there somewhere I think???

MissJ- What did Nye make of the BB house? I bet it was weird going back with him. You have had one heck of a lifestyle change mrs!

Can't remember any more, be back soon after dinner for DC's. Had a lovely afternoon in my friends garden gossiping and drinking tea, then the kids had ice-cream and a run/crawl on the common. Bit windy but lush day in the end.

PatTheHammer · 20/08/2009 16:57

Crap, forgot to say what I came on here for. the estate agent phoned this morning and we are moving in 4 weeks. EEEEEEEEEEEEEK, major panic time as done diddlysquat towards sorting anything out .

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 17:16

But am so

I sound like Mrs Judgey pants of Judgeington. What will my mates say!!!!!

Hatts 38.9 again. Tamiflu at pharmacy but no one to pick it up. What do I do????? DD1 has been ill a week so in retrospect I wish we had treated as it may have helped and she has lost weight and looks crap bless her.

Im goint to start feeding them froot shoots and sausage rolls. This balanced fresh local produce is clearly not agreeing with them.

Good news about the SALT dog. It will come.

tinkistheresidentshopper · 20/08/2009 18:39

dog - is it gd that test neg
pat - great news
news - poor hatts

LenniAgain · 20/08/2009 20:36

Tree (Phew! I can still call you that) [relieved emoticon] you're famous! Hmm, not the greatest to be quoted in the DM though. Bloody hell. Glad I've been deleting my way the archives lately. Am thinking those lists with birth dates and forenames might have to go after all if no one minds?? Speak now....

Your poor little girls - hope they are on the up soon. When is DH home?

Gumps Love it! Prob esp important for you and Ray to do a little spring cleaning here and there - although will be sad not to be able to see your gorgeous pics again! No. 3 eh?? Mad brave lady. I can cope with two... just. Although I do find myself coming over broody now DS is all grown up virtually.

Dog Think your plan to wait and see sounds a good one. How d'you feel about it / [happy]/[relieved]? I think another now would be hard work, and as you say you've plenty of time but when you want another it's heartbreaking isn't it? Good news on DS - SALT has to give you info on statementing and DLA - wouldn't take it to mean anything. Did DS have any hearing screening at birth?

MissJ You sound like you are having fun. DS would be hopeless in cinema too, especially since he seems to have taken to shouting Aaahhhhhhhh at high pitch and full volume - repeatedly! Where did my quiet little boy go? He's been replaced by a very noisy troublemaker I'm forever removing him from DD's games/toys/household objects. He is so quick now too. And he wails if you take something off him.

4 weeks Pat Yay! Know it'll be a panic but you'll be in your shiny new house!

Loads more... forgotten as usual.

DS approx 74/75cm I think?? Going off DD's height chart and trying to make him stand still. Where would that make him - middling-tallish??

LenniAgain · 20/08/2009 20:40

October I can't do 4th, 18th, 25th or 30th/31st if doing it at a weekend. If a weekday then half term is w/c 26th Oct here and I have no plans except for Friday 30th. Half term better for me as easier to come down to visit my Mum at same time as she teaches so will be on her hols.
