hi stripey! sorry.. a bit gobsmacked by dog's news!

LenniEd · 19/08/2009 22:52

I got a v v v faint one with DS - he seems to be proof I was preggers. That said I did get a positive once and period a couple of days later, think it was one of those chemical pgs where doesn't work out kind of thing. Was only maybe 2 days late. Got a +ve a couple of days before was due. Are you late?

Oh and before I go - pat glad nursery was ok and hope you can rest your niggles iyswim. Am sure he'll be fine, better early than later - easier for him to settle I think.

OMG Dog - OMFG! You do know, don't you, that if you are pg you are not allowed to ditch us in favour of a brand new sparkly antenatal thread?

What were our bets for first one up the duff? I really can't remember.

OK, I am on iphone so takes forever to type, so forgive selfish post. Have mostly caught up, and thank you so much Lenni for dealing with FB issues - I was def worried when I realised people could quite easily work out who I was and read my every post - but sure they have better things to do.

Meet up sounds lovely, am v jealous. Can we do it again? Would it be a good place for a more general meet up? Just off the motorway sounds ideal.

Sorry to hear of move ray but will be nice to be near your sister. Hard to leave nct buddies though. Having a baby together is very bonding!

Took N to visit the BB studios today - was lovely to see everyone, but v strange to be back with a baby in tow! He was gorgeously well behaved - phew! But has refused to sleep before 8.30pm for about 4 nights in a row - this is not acceptable - I need my glass of wine dinner well before then.

Now have headache from squinting at phone. Night all.

elkiedee · 19/08/2009 23:34

Wow at Dog's news!

Forgot to respond to qumps, I'm afraid I'm the other side of London from you. But are you anywhere near the North London line station there?

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 00:23

Gets up.

Argh! OMG!!

Ok - deep breaths.

EPPM, ah but will never ask In my mind you will always be a celeb from Hello or possibly royalty.

Hello four!

Pat - for you but glad it went well. Bittersweet stuff isn't it. Best thing about dropping off is getting them back again

Honestly, I fall asleep putting dd1 to bed and look what happens. Dog gets pregnant.

OOOOO can't wait till morning! Don't you dare abandon us for new thread We need you here. Will be lookin gout for you and news of lines and SALTS

O H M Y G O D

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 00:26

PS am really hoping DD1 will be well enough to leave house tomorrow, I haven't been out of here for A WEEK!!!!!
She has missed a picnic and a trip to beach with the friends we both so desperately need you know? I worry if say no won't get asked! But she has been far to ill. I think it's the oinks. Will ring in am and consider options. She ate half a scrambled egg today. THats half a jacket spud and half an egg, and maybe 10 chips in 5 days. Plus odd biscuit. Poor thing.

and . Jaysus Dog, you could have warned me about that one!!!!!!!!!!

Err, crappy bndy things from ebay also showed up DD but I know what you mean as the lines are sooooooooo faint (not sure they put much chemical in them thats why they are so cheap). Hope you have done a real one by now, how bloody exciting!!!!!!!!

Have to say i thought it would be MissJ or Chef first, although on tuesday EPPM you said you though Moose, perhaps we will all be wrong!

Tree: poor J hope she feels brighter today, you must be stir crazy! I feel the same way that if I say no to many things I won't get invited again, but poorly girls need their home comforts.

Stripey: Hope DP back to look after you and C soon. Not sure what my excuse is but the laundry here is rather out of hand and don't think I have hoovered upstairs for about a month

Thanks for the kind words about nursery, I know its better for him to go now. DD was ridiculously little when I went back and she is fine, very bright and sociable. Dog, my CM quit whilst I was on mat leave and it all went a bit pear-shaped at the end and put me off relying on 1 person for a while. If nursery doesn't work out i will consider it again though.

missjackson · 20/08/2009 09:48

Hi everyone - books I can't find those links - am not too concerned that someone on MN can work out who I am in RL - more that someone in RL could work out who I was on MN and then read back thru all my posts and gain an intimate history of my last 15 months - but actually even if someone were to bother, I don't think there is too much (apart from mild whinging about ILs!) that I've posted that would be contentious.

Pat I am sure Z will have no long-term problems settling in at nursery - he is such a confident little chap. He'll have lots of fun there I'm sure.

Dog had logged on hoping for news! Although I'm pretty sure like Lenni says, a positive is a positive. How f-ing exciting for you all. Am a bit too - seem to veer wildly between wanting another and being relieved that it hasn't happened yet and vowing to use contraception next time!

newspaper sorry to hear H still not better - maybe if she's not too ill, a trip to the beach for some fresh air would help? Sounds like a good excuse for some fish n chips, mmmmm...

Have given up trying to type on iphone and borrowed sister's computer. Elkie the cinema you are at is just at the end of our road - was tempted to come along this morning but there is no way N would sit thru a movie these days. He's currently asleep; when he wakes up we are off to Epsom to visit a friend with a 2 week old baby - am preparing for major newborn envy!

Come on then someone, suggest a date for an Oct meet up otherwise our diaries will start filling up . Have no idea when half terms etc are so it will have to be one of you mummys with older DCs. We must meet! And prove Lenni wrong !

tinkistheresidentshopper · 20/08/2009 09:54

hi

wow dog is it congrats

books - bracken is 91st of height a long legged one

newspaperdelivery · 20/08/2009 10:11

On edge of seat.

Books - same here with laundry. I do the first stages quite well, but stumble at the last. I think it's because there really is no where to put it all! DD has a lot of clothes. Like alot. She never grows, we have had stuff from 2 she still wears - so it stockpiles!

Morning MissJ, Tink and all.

DD1 not too bad. Has managed half an Oatibix. But H woke with hacking cough and temp of 39.6!!!! So hot for a little one! Given calpol and it's come down nicely. Waiting to hear from GP.

DD1 has had a temp for 8 days now
