Right, Just a quicky, I only came on to see what I'd missed while I was away, thinking it wouldn't be much, and whet do you know, we have 2 new budding bubbas!!!!!!

Huge congrats SK and Mcchesers I can't say I;m not a bit I am so broody at the moment, but I don't think I could cope mentally or physically with an other (well not until these 2 are at school anyway! )

Sam is just so busy, busy busy these days! he's climbing everything, stairs, sofa, beds, there is nothing off limit to him, I'm knackered, I'm glad for the 2 days I'm at work now I tell you, they feel like days off !!!!! (Rumpel how's the teaching going?)

Anyway, gotta go as DS1 wants to wee in the garden and Sam's trying to ride his bike.....

pigleychez · 31/08/2009 22:28

Disney- Love the FB pics. Looks like you all had a fab holiday

Minnie- Whats the age gap between your two?

Rumpel- really hope you get a healthy period soon!

SK- Well done to B for walking!

Poledra- I too always read it as Mc Chessers
Love the "Kitten" and "Mini Cheddar".

Bebe- Well done on the weight loss! How fab!

Jodie- Hows the job going?

Hope SK and Mchesers are feeling ok and not hit by any Morning sickness yet.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the bank holiday. We went to the Farm and farm shop and bought some yummy foods

Abigail has opened the flood gates and she now has 2 teeth poking through! Its funny watching her playing with them with her tongue. Must feel strange for her after all this time!

thanks for the congrats ladies! I am laid up with morning sickness pretty badly at the moment. DH has been amazing. He does breakfast, gets Aidan dressed and ready so that I can stay a few minutes in bed. He also does bath, milk and bed while I attempt to eat and lie in the tub and moan. Aidan isn't so sympathetic and he got the keys out of my purse and put them in front of my face on the couch as if to say "C'mon mamamaaa let's gooo". Went shopping today, but couldn't quite bring myself to get any baby stuff just yet but everything was so cute! I'll have to wait and see what kind of easter bunny we get.

SK - hooray for baby steps! We're allmost there. You need to get a flip camera so we can see all this fancy walking! I'd love to come over and eat choccies on the sofa..in a few more weeks when we are both feeling better. Hope your MS isn't this nasty. I only feel better at 11 at night [hmmm]

Disney - your holiday photos look great. I want to see all this signing. I'm so jealous. All I can get A to do is sign "more".

pigley - can't think of anything that worked with Aidan's teething..just really cold stuff like yogurt and berries. Poor thing. Sounds like they are all just going to come in at once.

I'll see if I can stomach the morning and try and read more reply..thinking of you guys.

Bebe - chutney sounds amazing. When I feel less like poop, I'll def be up for canning for Christmas gifts.

disneystar1 · 01/09/2009 10:49

mcchesers poor you i had i real bad with samuel i used to kind of bloat up with gas too during the day couldnt face food, i tried peppermint tea sucked peppermints which does help well it did me a bit, the joys of pregnancy eh!!!!
did you get it with Aiden?

re signing we have been doing it with Samuel for a long time we all do it do him all the time, but we touch sign too.
he fell over 2 days ago and signed me hurt which was new dh didnt understand that one and thought hes hurt his tummy until i explained but i was impressed with that.
i also sing and sign to him.

bebe re: chutney im a WI soon to be recruit too (so everyone tells me)i currently have a stack of beef tomatoes that we grew so im doing some tomato chutney and also green tomato and red onion chutney is good.

samuels a bit poorly today he can hardly speak sounds like a sore throat here and hes very sorry for himself, hes back in bed for a nap already.

MinnieMummy · 01/09/2009 19:47

Pigley mine are 21mths apart, basically we started trying when DS was 1 (see, I said they were dangerously cute at that age!).

Congrats on the teeth too, I have a completely unsubstantiated theory that a) the later the teeth come in the less painful they are (and/or the more they take it in their stride) and b) teeth come in when they have mastered a motor skill, e.g. not at the same time as they are trying to crawl.
Purely observational of my two and non-scientific!!

purplejennyrose · 01/09/2009 20:46

Hi all
well done to all on walking and weight loss! and all this chutney making and such - wow!

Congrats to mcchesers and sk - wow!! am a teeeny bit but really I think we have completed our little family.how exciting though - and no I don't envy you the us healthcare mc - have never got that.

who was it talking about bf - I'm still bf florence though only really morning and night now. don't really think of it as extended. don't think she'd let me stop as she's very keen - just not bothered during the day.

we went camping fri-mon (yesterday) to a smallish festival near here - had tickets anyhow, decided to be brave! girls loved it, we didn't do/see half as much as we wanted, but hey...even slept quite well. florence went to bed in puschair, and dd1 managed till 10pm sat and sun boogie-ing at main stage!!

minnie i completely agree with the teeth theory based on dd1. florence has been constantly ' teething' since 6 months with loads of pain but only just cut 5th tooth...

bebejones · 02/09/2009 10:25

Having a really crap couple of days!! DH has been waiting to be paid some money for a week and a half. Thought we were getting it today but now we aren't and it will probably be next week now! Haven't got enough money to buy food let alone pay the mortgage tomorrow! At my wits end! I hate this whole situation. Stupid bloody credit crunch!! Got to do some major money juggling! Plus bank bounced a cheque for our Gas bill, even though there is more than enough money in the bills account to cover it!!!! DH spent all morning shouting at some bloke at his bank yesterday over the fact they refused loads of DDs on the grounds it would take him over his limt....and then took money to pay themselves for his credit card with THEM!! Thus taking him over his limit and resulting in charges!! I just hate this time of the month when everything needs paying, for the last year we have constantly been owed money by people which doesn't show and means we end up in the shit!! Sometimes I just wish we could wind back the clock and have money again, makes everything so much easier!! Sad but true! But then if we did that we wouldn't have Phoebe, she is the only good thing we have right now! Even though the little bugger has just pulled down the net curtain in the study!!

Sorry to have a big rant just really needed to sound off a bit, can't really anywhere else! Will catch up properly later when I am in a better mood!

bebejones · 02/09/2009 10:27

Now Phoebe has eaten a spider....great!

Poledra · 02/09/2009 10:31

Sorry you're having so much grief today, these things always come along all together. Don't worry about the spider, it'll do her no harm. DD2 ate a worm or perhaps a snail- DD1 was not quite sure and she and her little friend were the only witnesses - when she was 16 months and we saw no ill effects from it.

pigleychez · 02/09/2009 11:55

McChesers- about the morning sickness. These babies do make us suffer dont they.

Minnie- your right. I think Abigail was concentrating on getting up and mobile before the teeth. Thankfully shes not been too bad with them so far.

Purple- Sounds like all had a fab time camping and dancing!

Bebe- Sorry your having a rough time. It typical how everything happens at once isnt it.
Can I borrow Phoebe to eat the spiders in my house please!! We seem to have loads at the moment, And really big ones too! Yesterday evening a massive one ran out from under the sofa and made us both Jump!

Abigail has been playing nicely with a Winnie the pooh teddy this morning. She had a little cup and was giving pooh a drink saying "tea" sweet.

OP posts:
bebejones · 02/09/2009 12:04

Glad it's not just us with the spiders! Where are they all coming from? Have had 5 HUGE ones in the past week alone, and DH is petrified. (His Brother had a tarantula when he was little and I don't think he ever got over it escaping one time.) I am not fond of them either and these big ones are so fast! Managed to squash one with a wine bottle as it ran accross the rug towards us! YUK!!

disneystar1 · 02/09/2009 12:27

lol @ the spiders and there escapades

spiders generally try to find some warmer place around sept oct then you wont notice them so much its just the change getting ready to autumn, bebe your house is older so more little crevises to get under etc....

bebe poor you it all happens together doesnt it, we had a rubbish month last one everything seemed to go on the bill, my fil saying we were robbing peter to pay paul?? no idea where that come from though.

health and happiness is what we need bit of money for a roof and some food love is for free, children are priceless,
did she like her lunch of spider then

purple glad you all had such a good time sounds fab

mchesers MS is a total pain hope it passes soon , i remember my mw telling me sickness was a sign of a healthy pregnancy and a good sign there were strong hormones anyone else been told this?

Rumpel · 02/09/2009 13:49

DISNEY - yep me. I make uber strong placentas - they don't want to come oput after birth so get mega horrific MS.

BEBE - big squishy hug and sympathy - it is so rubbish when money is tight. I always pick spiders up and put them back outside - only kill wasps, earwigs and midges hate the vile things - spiders are great for eating horrible beasties My cats usually get em before the kids do though.

Well DD off nursery today - had her at GP yesterday she has had a raging fever for 6 days now. Managed a urine sample but I reckon whatever it was is on it's way out now thank God! Her temp seems to have stabilised now. I ams o tired I hit my head off a glass wall panel in M&S today - felt like a right eejit! It feels like having a newborn again - up half the night and utterly exhausted.

Had to take my sewing machine in for repairs so had to bundle DD into buggy and take her too with machine in bottom of buggy . I was finally running up the curtains for the dining room and my machine decided to conk out on me after 19 years labour!

Must go as I am having dinner early (in peace) before Calvin comes home from nursery.

Take care all.....xxxxxxxx

bebejones · 02/09/2009 20:24

Thank you to everyone for being nice! Just all got a bit depressing! DH is technically self-employed (he sort of works for his dad but he has to generate work in order to earn) and he works in finance so it's been a rough couple of years! When it's good it's very very good, but when its bad its AWFUL!!!!

Pigley - very cute about A giving Pooh tea!!

Disney - I was also told that by MW about sickness being a good sign. Not a massive consolation when you can't move/eat/drink for 16 weeks because even the slightest little thing makes you heave!! The first 6 weeks were bliss, but 6 weeks pg to the day & I was puking for England!!!

Today Phoebe has learnt 'Giraffe', well 'Ffffaff'! We have been playing with her Ark & she was loving bringing me animals. Trouble is she can say the word but she thinks they are all 'Ffffaff' or 'Bebra' (Zebra) Very funny!

Hope everyone is ok, promise to perk myself! Taking P to have her pictures taken 2moro for the 'baby of the year' comp for our local rag!! I am normally against such things but I really need the distraction and it's free!!!

disneystar1 · 02/09/2009 22:48

bebe were doing it too same paper....

glad to hear your sounding perkier

minipinkscottish · 03/09/2009 06:25

been up since 4.30am...same yesterday.....abbie is full of fun and mischief and sleep not part of her plan

help??? xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

disneystar1 · 03/09/2009 06:56

mini if its any consolation ive been up since 5am too, boys excited for school though that it.....
what time does she go to bed then?

pigleychez · 03/09/2009 10:27

I was just going back off to sleep at 4.30!
Abigail has taken to waking in the night since Teething. Its a killer as we had just got used to her sleeping through consistantly!

Shes been so unhappy with her teeth bless her Had a temp of 39.6 yesterday too.

The new worktop for the kitchen was delivered this morning.. Bloody B&Q! Was arranged for last thursday but never turned up so arranged again for today. They rang yesterday to say it would be delivered between 12-8pm but turned up at 9.45 this morning! Good job I didnt go out this morning!

Disney and Bebe- OOhh sounds like its battle of the babes!

Hoping the weather stays nice for tomorrow as DH is finally getting his birthday present! He was 30 in March but been so busy moving we havent had chance to arrange it. We are going to Goodwood racing curcuit and he gets to drive various supercars and a formula ford car. Should be good fun only wish I could have a go!

ponto · 03/09/2009 20:05

Bebe, sorry you're having such a rough time financially. I love the 'Ffffaff' - sounds a bit like Bryony's word for dog which is 'oooff' - she makes the sign for dog as she does it though so I know what it is. I have been trying hard with the signing recently and she now does 'clean' (when I'm changing her nappy), 'all gone' and (with the eye of faith) 'Mummy' and 'cow' (these last two are worryingly similar!) TBH I think she'll speak before she can sign properly, but I've paid for next term's classes so I'm keeping it up for now.

PJR it was me asking about bfing, good to know I'm not alone. I think it's on its way out though as Bryony is losing interest in the evening feed - she just wants a beaker of milk like her sisters. So I think I'll keep going for the next few mornings but then I'll be away from her for 8 days so I expect she'll have lost interest completely by the time I get back.

Dd1 was back to school today and dd2 starts pre-school tomorrow so it's back to the morning rush. Must go and label some uniform (top tip for future reference - do not bother to get specially made embroidered name tags, they will sit in your sewing box for years making you feel guilty for doing the last minute laundry pen marking thing!)

Rumpel · 03/09/2009 20:51

Hi all - think DD must have/had flu. Her temp finally peaked today and she has been a whingy seething mass of hysteria ever since - argg!

She has lost so much weight she is all skinny now Poor wee soul.

Supposed to be going to her BF on saty for a party - bouncy castle etc but will need to see how she is.

C is fine - chatting away like mad - nonsensical but with hand gestures the lot - hilarious. Must get some footage of him to FB it. He stood alone for about 2 seconds yesterday LOL.

Hope everyone is well - RED - how are you doing these dasy and CASS?
CILC too

I hear awailing must go..................

disneystar1 · 03/09/2009 22:34

had a brilliant evening here samuel crawled he rolled a car and slowly crawled after it , i couldnt beleive it, he was out of breath after about 2 mins and needed some oxygen but he did it.....just how amazing is that . we got it on the phone as dh is away .

sweetkitty · 03/09/2009 22:35

hi all
Well Bethany is a crabbit little madam just now (crabbit is Scottish for whingy btw), thought she had a cheerio in her mouth today but it's part of her gum, don't know what to do anyone else had this, it's her molar has cut through and part of the gum is hanging down, my poor wee baby and she is all snotty plus she keeps walking and falling over, her latest thing is standing from sitting then dancing and falling over, she needs to perfect walkin before dancing, crawling is still preferred mode of transport.

Rumpel - your poor wee DD you have so had a time of it haven't you, I keep hoping to hear you say that everyone is on the mend, don't suppose this stinking weather helps either?

big squishy hugs to everyone else too x
Disney - loving teh FB pics and Samuel is doing so well amazing everyone

ponto - sounds like your house is a chaotic as mine lol, Bethany's new fav works is eddy for Teddy she hugs it and goes aww eddy, tonight the side door opened and she said "Daddy!" and crawled to the kitchen door as she knew it was DP coming home, he got a bit smile and more Daddys

pigley - hope you have a great day tomorrow, Calpol and more Calpol for the teeth, B hates teething gel too, B hates a lot of things and isn't afraid to tell you either.

bebe - so sorry to head about your worries, it's a hard time but one day you will laugh about it for sure.

JODIEwantsanewname · 04/09/2009 09:11

Ahh our little babies are growing up

How are our pregnant ladies?????? I'm going to live my broodyness through you, so please a no holds barred account of every detail please!!

rumpel poor you and your DC's It's awful when they are ill one after the other isn't it! sending you get well vibes and big hugs!

disney Wow, crawling, thats amazing, he's so clever isn't he!!!!

I'm so sorry, but I am so crap at this posting lark, I do lurk most days, but by the time I find the time to post I forget what everyone has said and feel rude that I've missed someone out, so I don't end up posting

Anyway, Sam is groing up too fast, he has now decided that he doesn't like his sleeping bag so he's now in his cot with a pillow and a duvet, he looks so grown up when he's asleep, he also climbed out of his cot yesterday and it's on it's lowest setting, i don't quite know what to do as he's still too little for it to be changed to a bed......

I also bought him some slippers the other day and when the both of them get ready for bed and come downstairs in their PJ's, slippers and dressing gown it's so obvious that I have a toddler and a little boy, not a baby and a toddler If DH would let me I'd be following you TTCers, but he won't have it (and I must say he has a convincing arguement), but you know how it is ladies, heart v's head and all that!

Bebe We too have a cash flow problem at the moment, we occured so many fees last month It's really hard to keep our head above water, I've been frantically E-baying (which does make a small difference) and now I have this job it's much better, even though I'm knackered, at least the night shifts I do don't incurr any childcare costs...

Right I'd better go and stop WW3 from breaking out in my front room and get dressed I suppose...

Rumpel · 04/09/2009 10:00

Morning all - thanks for your kind thoughts - get well vibes. She is on the mend but would try the patience of a chorus of Angels at the mo' never mind ever so human me .

WELL DONE SAMUEL - see you are gonna show 'em just what you're capable of boyo eh?

JODIE - I think most of us forget. I've been ebaying to but prices are abit rubbish at the mo'. I have listed some stuff on local netmums too - it's great for things like that. Have you advertised your body shop parties on your local netmums board? How you settling in to your new job?

Nothing on mine yet - just need to wait until there are enough people interested.

SK - the weather is the pits! I am just about to ordera pair of wellies for our hols to centerparcs at the end of the month - and to join DD in jumping in muddy puddles a la Peppa.

Oh I hear a giant whinge coming...........

pigleychez · 04/09/2009 10:36

Disney- Well done Sam what a star!

Rumpel- Poor DD. It must be so tiring for you with one or the other being ill.

Jodie- We have just bought Abigail a toddler bed as it not going to be long before shes climbing out her cot.
Hows the new job going?

Well just waiting for the Inlaws to arrive then we are off for DH's driving day. The sun is shining (at the mo anyway!) so fingers crossed for a good day
Doses of Calpol for Abigail too as shes a moody, stroppy, teething nightmare at the mo!!
