Jodie - can you post the link to the thread I can't find it!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 27/10/2009 22:25

bebe try here

bebejones · 28/10/2009 09:10

I didn't post until Feb!! About 4 threads in!! I had been so sick until about then. Was really nice having a read back though! Found my post when I had 20 week scan and got all nostalgic!

Must go, P is trying to pull her tights off and now her legs look twice as long as they should!

pigleychez · 28/10/2009 10:08

oh thats really odd reading that back

waiting in for my new table and chairs. Was told between 8.30 and 10.30 and that they would call an hour before they deliver. Well its 10 oclock now so hoping its not going to be one of those days!

Otters- glad N is doing well.

hi ladies nothing new to report here, I'm still suffering. B keeps walking about gazing at the Halloween decorations.

re first post I was probably one of the first on here I was on the TTC threads and then popped across, got my BFP on Halloween so very apt.

I have been on MN since January 2004 though I bought the book the day I had a bad bleed with DD1 I remember reading it whilst waiting for the scan at St Thomas' in London, I was 9 weeks.

Otter - good to "hear" from you

pigley - whooohoooo on the win, don't think I congratulated you yesterday, enjoy spending it. We so need a new dining room table and chairs as we only have 4 but as we are hopefully ripping the back of our house off sometime next year all furniture and decoration is now on hold.

re bumps even DD2 who is 3 said today "mummy why have you got a big tummy, I think you have another baby in there!"

I got an early Christmas present yesterday a new phone, it's pink, can facebook and e-mail, going to try and keep it away from the girls though.

Right must get ready for school pick up, B still asleep, I hate waking her but she has been sleeping since 1.10pm so an hour and a half by the time I wake her up.

mcchesers · 28/10/2009 17:04

That is so strange reading back at the old posts. I remember thinking I wasn't going to be in the running for a July baby and SK kept saying wait a couple of days and sure enough BFP Nov2. It's a trip to see what we were all going through as well.

Still a bit shaken from yesterdays scare. I can't remember if I was this paranoid the last time round..probably worse!

MIL has decided not to regard number 2 at all..mostly because it's not a girl, and because she's not going to come over. She has a trust fund for Aidan and said that number 2 would not have that luxury. Then basically told me off for going back to work and "what kind of mother puts her children in care from 8:30 to 6 at night?"

We do the best we can and do skype calls twice a month..nothing is ever enough. I'm over it. DH was told by work that he could fly over for a week for work, and we were thinking of coming over Christmas..but he doesn't want the stress, not to mention having us all stuck in a hotel room.

Pigley- jealous that your Abigail has so much to say! We have little sentences, but mostly babble. Dog, Ball, what sounds like snack or banana. He still doesn't say mama or dada really, but he knows who we are and can point to nose, eyes, mouth.

Disney- I cannot believe how resouceful you are. I've got a couple of courgettes and a squash that I will use to make chili..that's about as far as it goes. Thinking of you x

Otter - Long time no post! Good to hear from you.

SK - I love that you have a pink phone. I took your advice and am seeking out P and T's and noticed they had pink camo!! Lol at your DD..was she the same one that said you had a "wibble wobble jelly bum" last pg? DH and I still laugh about that.

Jodie No recent pics of DC2..except one that appears he is flashing his willie. I go back Nov 12th for the anatomy scan. I keep feeling little bumps..and some rolls, but this part of preg really scares me..you know until you get the 20 week scan and legs in the ribs..it all seems kind of far away.

Hugs to you all, sorry for the long post..had a few things to get off my brain. Cheers for listening xx

sweetkitty · 28/10/2009 17:23

mcchesers - at your MIL, you sure she is not related to my mother though who when I told her DD2 was a DD she said "nevermind you can go for a third" DD1 got all the first born grandchild thing and DD2 she hasn't bothered with and as for B well I should have had a mc and no one has 3 these days, can you imagine what she will say when she hears about no4? Not that she is hearing from me as we are officially estranged.

Your MIL's loss I'd say.

Anyway I digress I am glad you are feeling better today and feeling little movements, be so strange for you having no2 in a completely different country.

Yes it was me that they sang wibble wobble jelly bum too things is they STILL do it! and I'm a size 8 (well was) just because they are both little skinnies

minipinkscottish · 28/10/2009 18:42

Wow it's lovely to see an active thread again ....welcome back everyone

Well it's official...I feel old..my ds1 is 17 today...how did hat happen? One minute I'm sitting him on my knee and the next he's going out to dinner with FRIENDS (not mum) to celebrate his birthday and going for first driving lesson tomorrow... Ah well I am so very proud of the young man he has become and even if he doesn't like it he will always be my baby

bebejones · 29/10/2009 08:56

I really need advice from you guys! How can I stop P from scratching & biting people (mostly me)? Really worried she is going to do it to another baby/child. She gets so cross & just lashes out. My arms are covered in scratches. If I tell her off or stop her doing something she will scream at me & scratch at whatever part of me she can reach, arms or face usually. She sometimes goes to bite me but i have got better at deflecting that into kisses. I know she is bored & frustrated because we aren't doing much at the moment but I just don't have the energy to 'do' things all day & I can't take her out as its half term & nothing is on but I can't walk or drive either! Sometimes she just laughs at me when I try & stop her & then it becomes a game. I cant get her nails any shorter, she hates having them cut & I'm worried about snipping off her finger tip!! Any ideas? When she goes to scratch I usually tell her 'no' & put her down. This results in much screaming & then she just comes back & climbs on sofa straight away to do whatever it was I was telling her off for doing! My temper is short at the moment as I'm just so so tired & lacking in energy and this is starting to really tip me over the edge & I hate shouting at her but have been a very shouty mummy lately!

mama2leah · 29/10/2009 10:04

hiya all... i think i was the last one to join the thread maybe in june...
leah is become sooooooooooooooooooo naughty! aasiaha has been awake alot at night last night from 11pm until 7am every hour, is this normal i can't remember? and then leah was up as well, i am truly shattered!

ended up having a huge fight with DH over nothing... lack of sleep and hunger i think.

arghhh

sweetkitty · 29/10/2009 10:47

bebe - it's just a phase, B is the exact same, I took a cup off her at toddlers the other day and gave her her own cup and she went mad, scratching and hitting me, I immediately tell her NO in a loud voice and put her down, she usually drops to the floor and has a tantrum though. It's just a stage they are going through as they cannot talk yet, their frustrations are all coming out. B does it with her sisters as well, usually most of it is saved for Mummy. Just keep being consistent in saying No and she will get it eventually.

I cannot imagine having P on top of everything else you are going through, I feel bad enough that I have MS and feel shattered. Do you go to some M&T groups? I know some can be a bit but if you keep going some can be alright. Could you stretch to putting P into nursery, I think it might do you both some good, maybe 2 mornings a week, she would get the chance to run around with other kids and you would get a break. I know where I live one of the nurseries does priority places, I got DD2 in when I was pregnant with P, it was free as well, maybe check it out with your HV, don't be afraid to ask for help, you are not being a bad Mummy, you are a great Mummy but you have health problems as well

bebejones · 29/10/2009 12:08

Thanks SK. Just can't afford nursery at the moment, things are tight until after Christmas when DH will start earning 'proper' money again! My MIL sometimes takes P for a few hours but she is away at the moment. Before this relapse we were doing music class, and 2 different M&T classes a week but I just can't take her at the moment (plus not on during half term) it's difficult enough chasing after her round our living room which is tiny! Feel so useless but as DH and my mum keep reminding me it is only short term & she won't remember. Hopefully I am going to try driving again at the weekend on PIL's farm so as not to freak myself out too much. I know I could do it physically it's more a confidence thing! If that goes ok the I can start again at music class next week & have a friend and her LO coming over for a morning next week as well. Just feel like she is bored witless & we are just winding each other up. She is one of those children who just doesn't play happily on her own & needs near constant input & stimulation & it's really draining. I wanted to go back to work but Baby GAP got told they couldn't hire anyone after all & I didn't get an interview anywhere else. But now I wouldn't be able to work anyway! Was so broody too and this stupid relapse has put all of that on hold again & I constantly have conflicting feelings over whether or not to have another LO anyway. Feeling so low about it!

Sorry to have such a massive rant about it. If I try & talk to DH he just ends up getting cross with me & we argue. Think I am a bit of a nightmare to live with at the moment!

sweetkitty · 29/10/2009 12:14

Bebe - don't you worry rant away, I'm just trying to rack my brain to think of things that might help, I do think you should speak to your HV maybe they have Homestart/Surestart in your area. They are at a funny age just now attention span of about 3 minutes and they they are off bored, even the good old cbeebies holds their attention for all of 5 minutes.

mama2leah · 29/10/2009 13:54

did u guys give ur kids mmr'? i still can not decide... did u get single jabs? or combined?

bebejones · 29/10/2009 16:07

M2L - I let P have combined MMR mainly because both DH & I had it at school when we were younger so I didn't see the problem really. Measles, mumps and ruebella are horrid nasty diseases. It's a personal choice though. Our GP's are often very stubborn about giving single vaccines.

Rumpel · 29/10/2009 17:10

Just a quickie haven't had time to read newest posts - catch up later. I had someone drop out of my Indian head massage course today so needed a model urgently. 2 girls I met through NM came to my rescue - 1 6 days overdue and 1 due today. Then I got a text to say SIL is due 8th May - I am officially jealous and broody!

Impossible as life is too tough just now with Al studying and everything but hey ho - can't help hormones.xxxxxxx

Rumpel · 29/10/2009 17:11

Hey SK same day as you!

Rumpel · 29/10/2009 17:13

Oh and SIL is a MN but might not have posted yet - if you get a date change or newie on your May thread it might be her!

bebejones · 01/11/2009 11:19

November WOO HOO!! My Birthday next weekend, love this time of year!! Have to have something to look forward to!!

Quiet here, has everyone been busy eating sweeties?!

P has been saying loads of new words this week. She now says cake, stinky, who's that, socks and many more. I am amazed by her everyday! [Proud mummy emoticon]

Sending big hugs to Disney & little Sam for this week, you are in my thoughts and prayers xxx

MinnieMummy · 01/11/2009 17:04

Will be thinking of you this week Disney, were my suggestions any good? If not let me know what type of thing your boys are into and I'll see if I can think of anything else.

Glad you like the pressies!

I'm 12 weeks today but I'm seeing a bunch of school friends next weekend so I'm keeping it off FB until then - most of them only have the one so I think they will be quite ! Cat is out of the bag though, I have quite the sizeable bump now. Telling work colleagues tomorrow, will ask them not to take it further as there's an outside chance I might get redundancy and mat leave if they don't realise.

M2L P had the MMR, there has been so much research into it and no links found so IMHO it's better than the alternative.
