bebe take care you and be very kind to yourself, could it be a relapse though? sounds similar, on my right leg on the front of the thigh is totally numb pins could be stuck in it and they have and i cant feel it, always best to get it checked over.

sk yes pic would be great, on here of course though

got a tesco delivery coming today i miss my car so much it still feels odd to walk everywhere but im losing weight so thats good right?

dh did so much the weekend planted 3 new trees out front, built me a new coffee table ( which they will use for there cars)

put a stairgate at the top of the stairs, got 25 bags of white pebbles for the garden, put my new lamps in the dining room

think hes glad to be gone away again tbh
im strangely positive today and im not knocking that either.

disneystar1 · 21/09/2009 11:01

my positive face must have worked well a lady i sort of knew invited me for a coffee at the school, and i was very daring and went im generally such a shy person.

sweetkitty · 21/09/2009 11:45

disney - thats great news well done you, well done to your DH too mine managed to wash the car after declaring it was a mess and had cobwebs on it

Poledra · 21/09/2009 12:10

SK, can he come and wash mine too - it's had a mahoosive pigeon crap on the windscreen for over a week and I haven't got round to cleaning it?

Mind you I did do 4 loads of washing, finish painting the front door, help DD1 do her written homework (big deal, as it's the first time she's had homework other than her reading book!), wash out the paddling pool ready to deflate and store for the winter, cut the grass, break up some dead branches from our trees to use in the fire, clean the bathrooms, vacuum the whole house and take the older two out on their bike/scooter. Not bad for one weekend. Oh, and I booked our ferries for the october week holiday and started my Christmas shopping online

I think I am perhaps feeling a little smug.....

Disney, good for you, hope you enjoyed your coffee and chat.

Poledra · 21/09/2009 12:12

Forgot the most important thing - Orlaith took her first proper steps on Sat night!! DH had been cleaning her teeth, she was deeply annoyed at him for this so actually walked to get over to me for a cuddle. 3 whole steps - no sign of a repeat as yet.

And we discovered she has a liking for toffee popcorn - DH ended up hiding it as she would have scoffed the whole big bag given the chance

Rumpel · 21/09/2009 12:16

Hi all [wave]

BEBE - big hugs and hope you are feeling better soon. Have you thought about seeing aprivate physio or maybe an acupuncturist - can be very helpful.xx

SK - sorry to hear you are feeling rough too - sending you feeling better vibes and hey you are a size 8 FGS so DO NOT expect me to have any sympathy about 4lbs!!! LOL

DISNEY - yeah a postivie day - feels good doesn't it? Enjoy and xx to Samuel.

Well my big boy is v funny now. I asked him the other day what a pussy cat says (we have 3) and he went 'Moooww' and he talks to them now LOL. He can say garden, gone, Amb (Amber big sis)no (whilst shaking head vigorously), slide, ta and yes. He is quite funny - he'll put his hands palms out and shake his head when he doesn't want anymore food and say no. He is in size 5G shoes now .

Well we are off on hols to centerparcs a week today - whoopee! So looking forward to it. Have DD booked in for pony trekking (not sure how she will get on), making a teddy, both of them for memory making (hand and foot prints), DH for a back/shoulder massage. DH and I are going to go to the spa togther for an evening session too [heaven emoticon] and get a babysitter 1 night so we can have a meal together in peace.

Haven't been on a bicycle for years though so am a bit - I've got the DCs on a trailer on the back too .

Then it is Amber's birthday on the 4th - she'll be a big 3!

Have any of you got scans soon? What about names - too soon or have you thought of some? Any preferences on pink/blue and are you going to find out?

Take care all.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

sweetkitty · 21/09/2009 12:41

Rumpel - we went to CPs on May and the big two loved it, they keep asking when are we going back, DD2 adored the pony trekking, we got the one where you groom them as well, she's loved ponies ever since. Is it Whinfell you are going to, the spa is fab, but time speeds up in there I am sure. The pool is excellent and it takes up a full morning or afternoon, we felt sometimes we were rushing about a bit between activities. Am sure you will have a ball.

On the scan front am only 7+2 weeks but am going to try and get an 8 week one, have a very strong feeling this is another pink one lol 4 girls would be fab though v happy!

pigleychez · 21/09/2009 16:00

Disney- glad you having a postive day! Well done you for going for that coffee

Poledra- well done Orlaith on the walking.

Rumpel- Sounds you have a busy week planned. Sounds Fab!

No scans here yet. Im 6 weeks tomorrow.Still need to book a DR's appointment. We have decidied not to find out the sex again. All the baby stuff was bought neuteral anyway so will keep that suprise again.

Feeling really bad with myself this afternoon.
Just returned from Abigails swimming lesson which was basically hard work. We missed last weeks lesson as we our hols but did do some practice in the pool ourselves. I think though I may of pushed her too far as the second time we went with her on holiday she just clung to me for dear life. We wondered if it was just to busy or something but no, she was the same at lesson today really clingy and lots of tears. My fault for putting her under too much.
I feel so shit as she was so confident in the water and now I appear to have given her a fear. Spoke to the instructor who says she will be fine and will get used to it again. I do agree but cant help but feel bad

disneystar1 · 21/09/2009 16:15

well done O on your 3 steps, bless xxxx

rumpel have a super fantastic time at CP ive always wanted to go and think we might try it next year, let me know how it was ?
i have a bike with samuel and danny in the buggy trailer this is how we usually do the school run

im looking at a new bike its for me to ride and i can seat 4 on the front, comes with raincover (for them) pretty much similar to what they have in sweden/copenhagen

pigley why dont you just keep going but no pressure make the water fun and go at Abigails pace, if she clings to you then let her, im sure once she regains her confidence again all be be ok, these little monkeys are so changeable and change the rules every so often

purplejennyrose · 21/09/2009 23:01

hey all

pigley my dd1 went through a phase like that, when we were going to quite a fast paced class involving lots of going under in a deep, cold pool! she was before then and is now again a total waterbabe though! talks about swimming all the time and swam underwater in the sea on holiday of her own accord!

how exciting these pregnancies are!! now it's not me that is! i do feel a teeny weeny bit but i do think two are enough for me.

disney i love your school run and your new bike! you'd look right at home round here in hippy stroud. my dh is bike mad - currently has 5, plus two frames and lots of bits, plus one he's done up for me (!) and one of our neighbours that he needs to mend.

he has one bike that is just for going into town with dd1 in seat on bike, and he's over the moon at just being given a bike trailer! does scare me thinking of it on the roads round here though. I foresee a cycling and camping holiday coming up...!

disneystar1 · 22/09/2009 12:06

keep looking purplejennyrose i often cycle around stroud

its funny you get some women looking immaculate on the school run hair makeup the works then you get me
my jeans look like they come right outta woodstock (anyone remember this) or even know it
my dh says i resemble a peasant girl actually dont quite know what he means by that, maybe i dont want to know,

need a bit of advise here or just see what you guys are doing regarding milk or formla?

samuel still doesnt eat much probably due to his cleft palate so he loves his formual in a bottle still, water always in a cup though

in the morning a bottle of milk
before bed same again
one in the night (this is the issue) sometimes 3 9oz bottles in the night
suprisingly hes not hungry for breakfast

when he does eat he chokes a lot, and ckokes badly so hes now refusing food as he know he will choke this is all food.

im debating whether to get shot of the bottle right out, and formula or a gradual removal? any ideas please, how many of you are still giving bottles of formula?

disneystar1 · 22/09/2009 12:08

he drinks cows milk but really cries for a bottle of formula and it has to be stage 2 only or he throws it at me

minipinkscottish · 22/09/2009 21:03

M2L i bet they looked so so cute....

sweetkitty · 23/09/2009 09:25

minipink - oh no how sad it really doesn't rain but it pours, hope your Mum and SIL are on the mend soon.

I suppose I am still a bit raw from MIL dying in July, it feels like their is a great big hole in our family. I only have SIL who is an hour away and having loads of trauma with her teenage DD, two neices and then theres my family, my Dad is next to useless aas is my brother and my Mother well you know the story so it feels like there is no one. Still nothing we can do about so shouldn't dwell.

M2L - Happy belated Eid, you will have to post a pic of your girls and well done Leah on walking, B is doing great now trying to run after her sisters.

pigleychez · 23/09/2009 15:04

Oh MiniPink- It true what they say about everything happening in three's then! Hope everyone gets better soon.

M2L- Yeah def post some pics of your two girls.

Feeling soo tired id hoped for a lazy day but remembered I had to get something in town. Typically could get that but saw a fab OiOi changing bag. Its black and white woollen check fabric. My current one is starting to look abit shabby and I had said to DH about a new one. Saw this and thought id treat myself.

OP posts:
JODIEwantsanewname · 23/09/2009 16:30

Minipink - So sorry to hear that you're having a bad time of it, big hugs...

Pigley - so of your new bag. Sounds lovely, post a pic or a link please!

SK - how you getting on?

I've been asked to start a team of my own at The Body Shop (along with doing 36+ hours at the hotel ) and it seems like a good earning opportunity, so I think I'm going to do it. You might have seen my update on FB, and I've already 2 old friends (haven't seen in years type of old) contact me and will meet them next week, it's all very exciting!!!! It pays better than the hotel, so I can reduce my hours there to concentrate on BS, I might actually have some money for xmas as this rate!!!!

rumpel How you getting on on the diet/gym? I started again with gusto on Friday and it seems to be going OK, working at a busy hotel helps, I'm running around like a blue arsed fly at the min! All those extra calories that I don't have time to 'spend'!

pigleychez · 23/09/2009 17:05

Jodie- here I think it looks better in the flesh though as in the pic you cant really see the fabric. It really has a woollen tweed kinda feel to it.

Well done you on the BS job. You must be doing well!

OP posts:
JODIEwantsanewname · 23/09/2009 18:00

That looks lovely Pigley! And yes, I think it's abit of a complement that they think I've got it in me TBH and my regional manager is so inspiring, if she believes in me, well who am I to judge???

Rumpel I meant to say earlier, Sam is 4.5g, and he's only on the 9th centile, a wee dot really, I have big feet though too!

bebejones · 23/09/2009 20:40

Evening all!

Pigley - very [envu] of your bag, I keep promising myself a new one, maybe after Christmas!!

Jodie - Good luck with the bodyshop job! Got to be a good time of year for it leading up to Christmas!!! (Just over 13 weeks to go!!)

MiniPink - hope all your relations receive the care they need, how horrid for you. Sending much love xx

Well have had a hectic week so far! Had a 'play date' on Monday, in which Phoebe over enthusiastically ran to hug her little friend and knocked her flying. Then fell & landed on top of her whilst the little girl smacked the back of her head on the wood floor! She then spent the next hour bursting into tears whenever P came within 2 feet of her!! P is so tough, she hardly ever cries when she falls over. She even fell & headbutted the door at my friends house & said 'Oww' got up and laughed!!

It has been MMR day here today. (She even said 'Oww' for the first injection she had today and didn't cry, screamed after the 2nd one though!!!) Have dosed her up with Calpol, she has developed a runny nose already!! Is this the jab or a cold?! Either way is just in time for our holiday! Was hoping my netbook would have arrived before I go (Friday) but it hasn't even been dispatched yet! Might have to go a whole week with no FB or MN!!!!!

Hope everyone else is well & that all the PG bunch are doing ok?! xx

Rumpel · 23/09/2009 20:48

Hi all

MINI - sorry you are ahving a rough time - God it's so tiring visiting in hospital. YOu make sure you take extra good care of yourself - if you get ill they'll all be stuffed so so what you need to! You can't be all things to all people. Might be an idea to take some vit B complex and echinacea at the mo'? Make sure you keep your immune system tip top. In the meantime have a cyber hug ( ) and a big X.

SK - I feel like you are family You can come up to Stirling and cry on my shoulders anytime you like.

JODIE - wow what are you like - you'll be winning business lady of the year next . I notice you have let your farm go a bit though . Well done you deserve some 'good stuff'. So tell us what is your very fav BS product? Do you mean Sam is 9th centile height or weight? Calvin seems to have stopped growing for the past while although DD has shot up again. I'll measure her next week as we have a chart on her bedroom wall. She's a size 8g feet. DH has got small fet for his height I have trotters though .
Only been to the gym on Sat this week so far - DH has 3 assignments due in next weekend so he istrying to get them done so he doesn't need to do them when we are on hols next week. It's really shite this uni malarky! I'll got tomorrow though and hopefully weekend depending on if he manages to finish his uni stuff.

Lost 2.5lb so far this week and .4 percent body fat - am premental as well though,

PIGLEY - I bought a new changing bag too today - the sainsburys 99p bag I was using handle broke again - despite me sewing it back on! So I bought a £6 one out of Matalan.

DD has turned into a complete brat £ x in the past 10 days I have had to clean up after talcum powder incidents!!! Last time - Monday I took eher dummy off her and told her she wasn't getting it back (she is super-glued to that blooming thing) whereupon later on she started scratching me , then kicking and punching me I removed her and put her in her room - she then proceeded to batter the door and I thought she was going to vomit she was so hysterical. So I did the 'right' thing and sat down on her bed (eye-level) explained why and etc etc made her promise never to touch the talc again and whilst running the bath tonight - she covers my bedroom and ensuite in bloody talc ARGGGGGGG! I had to get her Dad as I was ready for going utterly ape! She is such hard work at the mo' - 'tis making me very scared about teenagerdom!

Sorry for mega post but wanted to add for all pg ladies the link below will provide you with the most amazingly comfortable, durable and 'pretty' undies for bumpdum and beyond:

www.becheeky.com/search/go?w=hotmilk&sid=i1nnkpu4o9aj3ile1bqs1b47m3

Take care all and squishy hugs to allxxx

Rumpel · 23/09/2009 20:51

DISNEY - Calvin adores milk (bleurgh) he would have about 6 bottles a day if I let him! He gets 1 (8ozs) before brekkie, and 1 (8ozs) at bedtime - he gets more if he wakens int he night. I've cut out the rest though and just give him water. He drinks cows milk. Will Samuel not eat pureed food or yogurt/fromage frais/soup type things - you could give him consomme soup in a beaker?
Or add water to yogurt/fromage frais?

sweetkitty · 23/09/2009 22:39

Rumpel - thanks you will make me cry hormones and all that, DP was in Stirling yesterday collecting his car, he's like a boy with a new toy bless him, first time he has had his own car in years as I have the big one during the week, also means he is more flexible and he can go into work late and come home early if I need him. Your DD is just pushing the boundaries, DD1 was the same, so frustrating at times I know but they do calm down.

Disney - Bethany has refused milk in any shape or form since weaning off the boob, she throws it at me, I tried cold, warm, formula, cows, even put a tiny bit of Nesquik in it but no, she eats about 4 yoghurts a day though.

Jodie - well done you
I'm OK thanks for asking, forgot how sick and knackered I feel at this stage, still I don't like being pregnant as you all know, just as well I get a gorgeous baby at the end eh?

bebe - aww poor P hope she feels better soon, I hate taking them for jabs, the pre school booster is the worst ever as they are older and remember

cass66 · 24/09/2009 11:52

Hi guys. sorry to hear about your family minipink. At least they were all in the same hopsital though....

Rumpel, talking of toddlers/teenagers, my 7 yr old is practising for teendom, she shouts and answers back (I never realised how annoying that was when I was a teenager!!) and thinks she's soooo independent. She was being really horrid on sun, so I said she couldn't go swimming with the rest of us. She then calmed down and went all quiet. So I thought I'd try some anger techniques I've been reading about and asked her if she thought she should be allowed to go swimming. she said no(!) then started to get a bit negative, saying she should be able to control her temper by now. then I felt sorry for her as I don't want her to get low self esteem issues, so I let her come swimming as she was contrite. Was that wrong?? She's been relatively lovely eversince..... It is tiring though.

Well Ed is lovely, very cute and into everything still. I am cooking for 5 friends tomorrow night, we're doing a sort of come dine with me thing, each doing a dinner party once a month. supposed to be non competitive, but I'm not sure it'll stay like that! Mine is the first one....cooking rack of lamb with aubergine and tomatoes and couscous then chocolate mousse. hope it all works out....

Sorry, huge me post. xx
