Morning all.

Cyteen sorry you're having a tough time and that people you are relying on have let you down.

Steaky I would sadly add sliced bread that doesn't taste slightly sweet and newspapers to the list IYKWIM.

DH and I had a lovely anniversary meal on Saturday and a nice day yesterday with DS. We took him to Fort Canning to let him walk on the grass a bit tire him out. He is now in love with leaves and twigs .

And what really made the weekend (apart from the small turqoise box I received from DH )was I took DS to be weighed on Saturday morning and have a chat with the HV and he's gone back up to the 50th centile.

NezLiquide · 03/08/2009 05:13

Oh DH also got me this book www.amazon.co.uk/Autobiography-One-year-old-Rohan-Candappa/dp/0553584138/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1249 272376&sr=8-3 I think it has the potential to be very funny but I'll let you know.

Morning everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT

Up early after DD went to bed late because she coughed so hard she threw up everywhere and ended up staying up until 9pm. She was then hungry at midnight and again at 3, into bed with us at 5.30 persuaded back to sleep until 6.30. She is now in her cage playing with duplo shouting occasionally shouting at me!

Sazzles - we have no plan today and unlikely to get one!

I did a weekly menu plan (ish) and online shop lastnight so if DH doesn't eat things I need for dinners and we don't make random bored supermarket trips our shopping will be half it's normal amount

Off to change a stinky!

NezLiquide · 03/08/2009 07:46

Happy Birthday Kurt

Sazzles have tried but the flour doesn't seem to be the same. There are a few reasonable bakeries but v.expensive.

hotterpotter · 03/08/2009 07:48

Happy Birthday Kurt hopr you have a lovely day.

Pertelote I'm sure today will go in a flash and you'll soon be snuggled back up with your darling DD

Am also at varying degree of food refusal among the DHs. Thankfully mine is agreedyfecker well trained and will eat anything you put in front of him . I sort of meal plan in that I seem to cook the same 10 or 12 different dinners all the time so it's easy to shop for andboring Can't really call it dinner when we all eat together at 6pm, but DS will eat whatever we are having for tea - pasta, curry, meatballs, lasagne, chips etc etc For lunch they both tend to have omlette, toast, beans, or a bowl of fruit with youghurt. No wonder there is so much poo going on

Hope you get on OK with your meal planning oops snot ooh to the turquoise box and I love that sweet bread, especially with cheese, but only for a week on holiday. Anyway all bread is the devil's work

Sazzles sorry you had a bad night again, that's all the benefit of your Sunday morning lie-in gone Have fun at the park. You are very good to your DDs, my DC will be playing in the garden today and just appreciating the fresh air

Sarah hi!

Looks like summer outside and the third Test is poised for an excellent last day, hurrah! Hope you all have a lovely day

ataraxis · 03/08/2009 07:49

Hi hi!

Just popped on very quickly to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the beautiful babes.

Life is great if very very hectic in the ataraxis household. Sadly there is no way I can come on here much any more. Vaguely trying to facebook from time to time but not having much joy with that either at the moment.

I hope you and your families are well, and that you enjoy(ed) the first birthday celebrations.

Take care.

hotterpotter · 03/08/2009 08:00

Hi Ataraxis glad you're all OK

sambo303 · 03/08/2009 08:03

hi all, just back from lovely holiday in Sussex... hope all are well, happy birthday babies (wow)... off to catch up now, I may be some time

Miamla · 03/08/2009 08:20

morning all, I hope the sun out today helps lift some faces into smiles

we've had such a lovely weekend here. Pirate party was lots of fun and then we had a grown up lunch thing yesterday. All good, everyone behaved and there were no arguments Especially amazing given the family dynamics we've got

DS having a strop about me not letting him type so i'd better go, see you all later

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/08/2009 09:29

Morning
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hi ataraxis so good to hear that life is good.

Pertelote thinking of you today, hope it goes well.

sazzles I have just really laughed out very loud at dd1 comments/names
how sweet.

Hi sambo glad holiday was good

Ok forgot everything else so I will say hi and go catch up again

oh ts I would not be happy about dh doing that either. My dh eats anything I cook, but I must admit I do ask almost every day what he would like. I am useless at deciding sometimes.
One thing that does annoy me is he often says he doesnt want anything (depending on his shift) as he says he will be eating his sandwiches/salad at work. So I cook for me and dcs,for him to then say 'oh that looks nice, I could eat something now. grrr

I have now learned to do a bit extra on those days just in case.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/08/2009 09:30

how did grrr end up blue ??

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/08/2009 09:41

Can I ask you camping ladies a question.

What and how much clothes to take?? Shall I just take waterproff and wellies
sazzles what did the dd's wear at night. fleece pj's? grobag?
Sadly we let dd play with her ready bed and after about 20 puncture repairs dh had enough so binned it. Don't really want to buy another if only going this once.

Thinking I could maybe just buy a cheap double air bed for me and her and take a duvet.

Any camping tips appreciated. The only camping I have done is Glastonbury every year. Pre children. I was also constantly stoned, so don't really remember if I was cold or not, and the only thing I can remember eating is cold tins of rice pudding and custard
munchies maybe

dizzydixies · 03/08/2009 09:56

munchies for us at TintheP (prior policing it ) were macaroni pies

cyteen · 03/08/2009 10:04

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!!!! Hope you're enjoying one of your mummy's fabulous invented cakes right now

sambo I was wondering where you had got to...glad it was a happy absence.

Hi ataraxis, flying visits are welcome here

My new Volo has arrived, I love it already. It weighs nothing and came fully assembled, which is two main ways it differs from our creaking hulk of a pram (the other is that it is clean ).

dizzydixies · 03/08/2009 10:17

Happy Birthday Kurt

lovely to see you Sambo and Ataraxis

Miamla · 03/08/2009 10:44

cyteen..i read 'volo' as 'volvo' and wondered what bit of the car you were expecting to have to assemble!

happy birthday Kurt

cyteen · 03/08/2009 10:56

There would also presumably be some more significant differences from our pram

Miamla · 03/08/2009 11:55

it was only the reference to your pram that made me and reread the first bit!

alittlebitshy · 03/08/2009 12:07

Happy Birthday Kurt.
