VG no worries. You know everyone here loves you dearly. We all know you are an amazing writer who will be writing for years and years. Within that time frame you should have used brain squeeze from the each of us a million times over. By the way, I did mention I was sorry for such a crap reply.

On the matching kids topic, I do it all the time but not by my own choosing. DD1 LOVES to dress that way. I just aim to please. Reese will probably HATE to dress alike when she's older but the damage will have already been done. LOL!

VG non taken. DS hair also very fine and babyish but was getting long and curly at the back and over the ears. He gets very sweaty if outside and was getting heat rash on the back of his neck so thought it best to get it cut!

Dizzy well done on surviving your first day back Mrs Company Director!

No1 did forget to mention that the lactose free stuff smells pretty vile!

DS started walking around with his eyes closed yesterday - not a good idea.

Miamla · 21/08/2009 03:51

arse. i'm not well
quite typically DS sleeping really well tonight and i'm downstairs, wrapped in a blanket, having just been sick

Miamla · 21/08/2009 04:04

it would seem i've got D&V. i really hope there wasn't something going round at the zoo with us all

sarahnh · 21/08/2009 06:49

Morning,

Miamla, really hope you have gone back to bed and are feeling better [hugs]...

VG hopes your research goes ok..

Not too bad a night here, dd2 slept through .. tho dd1 came in at some ungodly hour saying "mummy i've had a accident".. was so i the land of nod that i just threw her i bed with us, so i have the joys of cleaning up a wet bed this am pbad mummy]..

TS still no af but still too early to test iykwim... have loads of cramps so hoping that it is all going to be ok.. incredibly tired all the time tho.. hoping that its just a mixture of early wake ups and not eating properly

Dizzy so proud that you got thru your first day, just continue to hold your head up high and smile!!!

[waves] to everyone else

sarahnh · 21/08/2009 06:51

oh can i just say that my "n" buttom keeps sticking on this god damn computer, hence my millions of spelling mistakes...... well thats my story and i'm sticking to it.. nothing to do with mummy foggy brain!!!

oopsacoconut · 21/08/2009 06:51

Miamla - Sorry to hear you are ill, I hope DS manages to aviod it. {{HUGS}}

VG - you are a terrible influence I just ordered DD a snow suit, brushed tartan baggies and some jimjams from that link I am so easliy led

No1 - if M is finding the lactose free formula revolting (which it is) why not try Nanny goat formula which isn't too bad.

sarahnh · 21/08/2009 06:52

morning!

ds fine now but with a heavy cold. Have no clue why he was sick on Weds , maybe something he picked up off the floor and ate/too much sun/a bug? Sorry I could not really talk to anyone on the day but I was quite freaked out as not used to ds being ill and was wondering if it would get worse, how was the journey home going to be etc etc etc... as it happens it was fine

miamla sorry to hear you are ill, really hope ds 's thing was not catching

dizzy glad you survived your first day though sounds grim

was lovely to meet oops and steakand their gorgeous dds; also lovely to meet sazzles's beautiful dd1 and the whole fabulous buckets family

UGH me and DD have nits!!! Have zapped her with chemicals and combed through once so far. Just going to keep combing mine everyday as I don't know what the chemical stuff will do to my £80 hairdo!

DD(6) has been so extra anxious this summer, has developed phobias of the dark, lifts, multistorey carparks and now our loos. She has read the What to Do When You Worry Too Much book and she knows there's fun to be had on the other side of the worry but just can't stop. Has been invited to cinema with friend, friend's sister and their dad tomorrow and is panicking about it. Should I make her go? I know once the film starts she'll be fine (they are bringing cuddly toys and blankies) I'm so fed up of being big bad mean mummy but I just don't have time to escort her to the loo etc. DH has taken her swimming this am for a bit of quality time.

dizzydixies · 21/08/2009 11:31

buckets - add some tea tree antiseptic oil or vinegar to your shampoo

oopsacoconut · 21/08/2009 11:41

Buckets - this stuff kills nits and eggs on contact. Then if you soak DD's hairbands in it it should repel any visitors.

Miamla · 21/08/2009 12:13

i feel awful,ds poorly as well now

TwilightSurfer · 21/08/2009 12:24

Well it seems I've stepped into the doctor's office waiting room already. LOL! I'm very sorry many of you are unwell. Sambo {{hugs}}, Miamla are you pregnant?, and Buckets HOW?. I will asked that HOW again at a later date when my child brings them home. It's a right of passage for school age children, correct?

Reese has her 1year check today. DD1 is going with us. YAY then it's off to the Creative Discovery Museum as promised. DD1 wants to see the Curious George exhibit before it leaves (next week).

Sarah that's EXACTLY how I felt. I know that doesn't help but it's true. Today I woke to my cs cut hurting on the inside. Scares me a little. I'm such a wuss where pain is concerned. Coupled with my anxieties it's a crazy world for me.

Speaking of anxieties, Buckets you should go with her and be prepared to leave. I have a multitude of issues but find as long as I have an "out" I'm okay. If I don't, I seem to have a bigger problem. I use that system with dd1, who has anxieties, and it's worked to help ease some of them nicely. It's very hard to be scared but not feel you can tell someone. Does that make sense? Best wishes.

cyteen · 21/08/2009 12:31

Buckets it's not mean to help a child face their fears, even if it does involve a bit of moderately tough love. I was a very anxious uptight child and used to have awful nightmares most nights, terrified of the dark etc. Whenever I woke at night I'd yell for my mum to come and get me because I was too scared to cross the hall and go to her. I vividly recall the night she finally yelled back that if I was really bothered, I could go to her but she wasn't coming in to me because it was absolutely safe to cross the hall and get to her room - I was outraged at the time but did see her POV after.

Off to pick up DS shortly but thought I would leave you an inspiring song - amazing singer called Jessie, seriously if you like good vocals I suggest you check it out - Mamma Knows Best

sarahnh · 21/08/2009 12:59

TS doooon't say that!!!! i have been figuring that the af pains are a good sign... havig said that i have been falling asleep every day the last few ... will just have to hope and pray that i'm worrying over nothing!!!

I've just had some horrible horrible news, my best friend died this afternoon. She was chirpy and upbeat on the phone last night. I am so far away and her kiddies and DH are home alone without her for the first time ever.

sarahnh · 21/08/2009 18:50

oops ... sending you big hugs and thoughts are with your dear friends family xxx
