i was rather pleased with my recovery...very smooth i feel!

i had a text from sambo earlier and she said he seemed better

(sorry for answering for you if you're lurking sambo!)

steaknife · 20/08/2009 21:28

wotcha.

Got back safely though v tired. Packed Izzy of for an early night, she whimpered for about five mins then gave up and went to sleep - bless>

She also had another big poo in my mum's fancy bath. I haven't told mum.

We had a lovely day yesterday and Chez Sazzles is fabulous.

Oh and I learnt that if you return from a different station than your ticket is from you can just go to the ticket office and change the station without paying. Of course I didn't learn this until the conductor on the train told me as they can't do that on the train and have to sell you a single to extend your ticket. bums.

steaknife · 20/08/2009 21:39

cyteen I've had a mooch around the vogue patterns site - here are a couple like the ones you linked to.
corset and skirt though it doesn't have the shoulder straps.
a bit like the jasmine dress but without the back detail.

And oh my goodness why,why,why?

oopsacoconut · 20/08/2009 21:46

OOh steaky - that last dress was and more than a bit

Miamla · 20/08/2009 21:49

i quite liked that last one

Miamla · 20/08/2009 21:49

TwilightSurfer · 20/08/2009 21:52

okay done.

ladies you make me smile with all your creativeness. yes you too sazzles...you are creatively keeping two girls busy as bees everyday. i do hope i can channel that somehow because i just read what i'm to do as a "room mother". i might need to hire an assistant. seriously.

and yes, dizzy was correct, we've just been looking over a few questions from vg. i'm terrible with stuff like this i've just realized. sorry in advance vg.

sarah i thought about you today. my cs was hurting but in a constricting kind of way. this really makes me think i was preggo for a few days and my body is shifting back to normal. how are you feeling today? could you waste money on a test POAS yet?

brain hiccup brb

TS - what does a room mother do?

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:03

oops that's exactly what i was about to type!

TS would a virtual assistant be of any help? i'm sure you'll get a few volunteers from here!

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:04

hee hee was i the first to get vg's homework done? although to be fair, if i didn't do it straight away it would never have been done!

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:11

right, well if nobody's going to chat to me i'm going to Bedski
night all

TwilightSurfer · 20/08/2009 22:14

"Room Mothers are vital to our classrooms! As a Room Mother you will be responsible for organizing parties and communicating those needs to the parents in your classroom. You may also be asked to help assist your teacher with turtoring, laminating, cutting, copying, etc. It is important that you communicate well with your teacher and try to assist her throughout the year to help make her job a little easier. We only have 2 parties per year, Christmas & Valentine's Day. You will need to communicate with your teacher about gift bags, number of stdents in her class and any food allergies or special arrangements to fit the needs of the children in her class. Throughout the year you will also be asked to help with PTA events and getting volunteers together from your class. This is important because it takes many of us to put together a Festivial, Field Day, etc. Our first Room Mother meeting will be held on September 4th. Please make plans to attend!"

Miamla COME BACK!!!!

OP posts:
Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:18

surely it should be the teacher telling you about the needs of her class! or have i read it wrong?
i'm happy to be a virtual assistant! i'll bet we can design some lovely gift bags between us if nothing else!
the job description seems to be the equivalent of our teaching assistants, TAs get paid over here though and i'm guessing you won't be!

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:19

i'm here but i've got a ticket booked already to Bedski and i'm afraid i can't change it without paying huge admin fees

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:19

night sazz

Miamla · 20/08/2009 22:20

night all (really am going now!)

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 20/08/2009 22:30

I know you have all gone to bed now, but just wanted to see how dizzy got on at woek today. to hear it was tough, hopefully tomorow will be better for you.

Lovely to hear that the zoo meet up went well.
not at all

so sorry and to hear that minisambo was poorly. Poor little man. Hope he is feeling better.

Marcus is a bit better, still very tearful, but think the antibiotics have kicked in.

Bought some lactose free formula today. Ds hated it, and then I thought why didnt I just by lactose free cows milk instead of wasting £9 on formula [doh]

vg would love a link to them pjs they sound very cute. My dd and ds have a few matching tops, same design different colours. If I had 2 dd's OR 2 DS'S I would buy the same, because I wouldnt be able to resist.

I can't go to bed yet, as I have just made a cake for ds birthday and I am waiting for it to cool so I can wrap them up.

I have been making beatrix potter peter rabbit and duck etc... to go on the cake. I have not really decided the theme but thought I would experiment with marzipan and colours.
They look pretty good if I dont mind saying so myself. will post pics when its finished.
I am attempting to ice the cake too
we will see.

Well hi and night to everyone...
Going to see if the cake has cooled.

TwilightSurfer · 20/08/2009 22:40

No1 I can't wait to see how the cake turns out.
