vg what does DS1 think of matching pjyams? i reckon he's either going to be very proud or horrified!

oopsacoconut · 20/08/2009 10:09

Running out the door because I' late (again!!) just wanted to day - DIZZY have a good first day at work, hope it is not too stressful xx

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 10:14

morning all, not a great night sleep here although the kids did fine

DD1 safely packed off to her second day at school and DD2 in playgroup having managed to smack her mouth on a metal railing on her way there?!?! I'm going to have to send DH in future as what should have been a very quick round trip took ages - blethering to loads of people

cousin's funeral on Sat so am going to miss it due to work but my dad is surprisingly ok about it and he seemed to enjoy his time down south too which is good. DB and SIL have a scan today to find out her cs date and possibly the sex so thats something to clingto look forward to!

VG that festival looks FABULOUS

right am off to make soup and some cake before work

hotterpotter · 20/08/2009 10:41

hots nope, didn't see a thing!

sarah why thank you!
its a shame about dd1 but at least you found out now. would have been worse if she was on the start line for the 100m in 2012

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 12:12

Can't wait to have a shufty at your dress on fb Miamla, pesky work won't allow access

Still incognito, just wanted to say to Dizzy that DS' passoprt has already arrived, only 13 days after leaving it at the Post Office so you should get yours back OK too I think .

44 days to go...

Dizzy if anyone so much as ruffles a single feather YOU CALL ME! I'll take care of the lot! Good luck today.

Miamla, lovely recap of yesterday.

VG, draft version not ready to send. This evening! Promise!! Very boring though. Hopefully final draft will be more colorful.

Reese is a Mom's Day Out. She didn't cry but I did. Took myself to breakfast at Waffle House immediately after drop off. Food helps me get grips on my crying spells. Thankfully my usual waitress & cook were there to cheer me up. The one cook I have followed all over town as she's the only one I trust to cook my breakfast EXACTLY how I like it...been doing that for 15 years.

House in order. See I used my time wisely. Picking her up early (12 instead of 1:30) because 3 hours is enough on her first go.

Officially the Home Room Mom for DD1's kindergarten class. Her teacher asked me this morning if I'd do the honors. She's going to try and get another mom to share the job with me, we'll see. Woo Hoo!!!

11:49...must go and get Reese. Ta!

oh...that reminds me Reese can say "ta da", you know like a magician. I taught her that yesterday. How cute!!

bye

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 18:57

CaptainCaveman · 20/08/2009 19:18

hmm hotpot me too ....

dizzy good luck

vg yes am looking forwards to stopping bf - so that dh can put him to bed instead of me!!

Glad you ladies all enjoyed your bristol meet, I was with you in spirit.

I hope you've all got your outfits sorted for Oliver's baptism on 20th Sept - don't forget you are all virtual godmothers Service starts 10am prompt - don't be late!

hotterpotter · 20/08/2009 19:22

I won't mention your pact with the Devil Hot Mamas to start properly once your holiday was over Glad you survived chick, hope it wasn't too awful.

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 19:27

hotter have been hiding from the hot mamas as have comfort eaten double my body weight through dread and anticipation , shall get the next few days under my belt then back to behaving

CC am very much looking forward to the christening

oopsacoconut · 20/08/2009 20:03

HP - I have also been left out of the VG mail round up. I was tempted to ask but you beat me to it.

TS - I like ta da - DD now goes oooh oooh if you ask what a monkey says, the zoo was educational and fun

Miamla - Whata great summary of yesterday - watching Sazzles DD1 and your DS, DD has walked most places today. This could get tiring.

CC - What a good excuse for new shoes and dress

Sazzles - was that [loner] or [looney] I was just trying to ease Dizzy's day honest guv.

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 20:31

a few of us are helping VG with some research - nothing sinister

actually its the new moldiegate - known as GardeniaGate

Sazz it was shit, really shit. spent the first 3hrs in the office 'discussing' things and you would think that someone would have had the good sense to sort out all my systems etc before I came back so that was a pain in the arse. We were, as usual, short staffed so rather than the easing back in etc I was dropped right in it - which to be fair is my preferred method - however I was sitting next to one of the 3 witches coworkers who have an issue with me and it wasn't very welcoming/pleasant. to be honest it was no worse than I expected HOWEVER you would think that they'd get over themselves. Shall return tomorrow, stick it out again and see where we go from there.

managed not to mention the cafe/director/swear at them or cry so I'm taking that as a good day

dizzydixies · 20/08/2009 20:33

oh and dbrother and SIL are booked in for the 8th Sept for their baby and its a wee girl dnephew is not happy at all

Miamla · 20/08/2009 20:50

ooh CC would a purple dress be suitable attire for a virtual godmother? I might even wear my new blue shoes as well, as long as you can guarantee i won't have to walk too far

sazz you're very welcome! as for the dodgy knee, i haven't got time for it being dodgy because nobody has managed to explain the logistics to T yet!

TS 'ta da' is so sweet! i can't get DS to copy me doing anything vocally but physically its great! i taught him how to put the baby monitor back onto charge this morning.... a very useful skill! particularly as i keep forgetting!
i'm with Sazz about laughing at your cook stalking!

dizz well done for surviving without swearing but perhaps it would help, no? sounds like all 3 of them need to be brought down a peg or two. actually, by swearing at them you're lowering yourself to their level so on second thoughts, be sickly nice! it may well scare them into submission! i hate the thought that anyone is being nasty to you

oops if you want to save your back and DD's nose, i strongly recommend getting a harness or a couple of scarves tied together!

hi hots, can't remember what else i was going to say to you!

Sazz, oops is perfectly correct... you are a loon!
oooh are you going to wear your new shoes too?

Miamla · 20/08/2009 21:07

but you're lovely with it so that makes you a lovely loon
