Hi All

No Doc today - the clinic was cancelled due to D&V amongst the staff so now I have to wait until 30th Sept to see him. Part of me is relieved and another part is angry because I didn't find out until I got there! the the final tiny part of me was unhappy because I wanted to get it over and done with.

Will catch up in a bit as DH is ignoring watching DD and she is eating green tomatoes!

TwilightSurfer · 18/08/2009 19:18

Sambo, I've strayed from my Moby lately too. Reese was in it once a week ago and didn't mind too much. I'd probably take the stroller just for the sleep thing.

Dizzy

Oops, I'd have been upset too. Did they not call the appointments to let them know?

I've posted pics here on MN of Reese's cake for this evening and the present (she picked out herself at the toy store this morning). Now if DD1 will just LEAVE IT ALONE!!

now we wait to eat and be merry. hopefully dh won't be too late.

By the way if you all were close I'd hug everyone of you. Last night I sat and read through the thread that contained Reese's birth. You all are amazingly supportive friends. THANK YOU!

Happy birthdat reese.

Sory to have been awol. I have been reading several times a day on my phone but when dh is not using the puter dd is on it, so I've not had much time to actually get my hands to a keyboard!

sambo maclaren for sure! will be far easier. though i get that you want to play with your new buggy. I;d be the same .

Btw in honour of the bristol meet up I am going to the museum of childhood tomorrow, to relive the last meetup lol. (well, I was going with a friend anyway, just happend to conincide ).

alittlebitshy · 18/08/2009 19:52

Btw i think my sling days are over . Not used anything much of late and when i put ds in a hip cary in sil's (v gorgeous storchenwiege) wrap I managed to do my back in and I am Was essential to use it rhough as we were at Bluewater and ds was going beserk in buggy and i needed to carry him and push buggy and supervise dd.

not a happy bunny at the mo. ow ow ow.

CaptainCaveman · 18/08/2009 20:50

Happy birthday reese hope you are having a wonderful day!

Mad busy here, little time to catch up. Had a shit day work wise, but hey ho. Off tomorrow. Need to iron and pack for holidays

Ladies have fun tomorrow. Sad I can't join you but I have to go pick up ds1 from grandmas which is 60 miles away, then get home in time to collect O from nursery. At some point I'll get chance to do my chores.

Tonight I am chilling out and making voodoo dolls of the people who were mean to me today!!

steaknife · 18/08/2009 20:57

Happy Birthday Reese and to all the other littlies that I have missed these past couple of weeks.

Roll call for tomorrow?

Am I right in thinking 11am in the picnicy bit?

Had a hilarious (looking back now) time with Izzy, a poopy nappy, her feet and my mum's fancy white bath this afternoo. I am sure you can imagine.

oopsacoconut · 18/08/2009 21:11

CC sorry you had such a rubbish day! Voodoo dolls sound a good plan.

ALBS - sorry to hear your sling days are over I still love my wrap and will be very when they are over.

DD was weighed yesterday and has lost 0.5lb so have a VERY stroppy HV chasing my tail and I am ignoring her . She is not the 'normal' HV but a stand in who has some ideas.

Dizzy - Hope you found the rescue remedy. Sorry things are not so great workwise. {{{HUGS}}}

TS - love the cake! I was reading that very same thread last night and it brught a tear to my eye.

oopsacoconut · 18/08/2009 21:13

Steaky - I thinks that's the plan, I was just going to ask.

It seems to be:

Me
You
Sazzles
Miamla
Sambo
Buckets
and everyone else in spirit!

pertelote · 18/08/2009 21:23

Happy Birthday Reese! TS I love that little ride-one turtle. I bet both the girls will get a lot of fun out of that Beautiful cake too.

CC how dare people be mean to you! Don't they know you've got the Aug 08ers behind you? And that goes for you too Dizzy - I'm sure going back to work won't be as bad as you anticipate (I think the anticipation is so awful that it hardly can be) but if it is grim the thought of being a Company Director will surely help

Oops how annoying.

No1 poor little lad, hope he is not too uncomfortable.

We were at the hospital today for DD's cardio clinic - we don't have to go back for a year And she didn't even cry during her echo, she really is my very favourite daughter

Hope the zoo party has fun tomorrow. Raise a glass to those of us who are with you in spirit only

steaknife · 18/08/2009 21:45

How very exciting but I've just remembered that I have to go and cook some pasta for Izzy's lunch.

I am wondering how those pre-raphealites ever got around to do any painting what with all the drinking and sh*gging.

steaknife · 18/08/2009 21:46

oops sorry pert crossed posts.

pertelote · 18/08/2009 21:55

Steaky lol at the pre-raphs. I liked Germaine Greer's article slagging them off in the guardian today? yesterday? And she mentioned a woman artist of the same period called Marianne Stokes - always interested in famous namesakes and in counter-examples to the 'all successful high art has been created by men' crap.

TwilightSurfer · 18/08/2009 22:14

Excited for all that will get to party tomorrow at the meetup. I will be there in spirit.

Captain, I would like that doll design when you're finished.

Oops I cried too (and got stressed). I really wanted my last birth to be a beautiful experience.

Speaking of seconds, I have to tell those of you who are considering adding dcs to your family that life was so much easier with the second than the first. The difference, for me, is amazing. Go forth and procreate!

Waiting on DH so we can eat cake. We've all had our dinner (tea, I suppose). The girls are playing together and I'm bored. Let's get this show on the road!!

Just nipping on before bedtime to wish you all a lovely day tomorrow Will be thinking of you all having fun at the zoo while I toss it off do valuable work for the government

ALBS hope your back recovers but don't think your carrying days are over. Surely a Mei-Tai-type carrier would suit now DS is a bigger boy? Hmm, where do you think you could get one of those... Seriously, I carry DS loads in mine and he is at least 28lb. I can even get him in it without a mirror these days

cece deep breaths and think of Tenerife

I really am going now, hello to everyone else

to the rest of you... if i had my wish we'd all be there
i've packed my blackberry so we'll be able to post from the zoo

i'm just using the carrier tomorrow, can't be bothered faffing with a pushchair on the tube but my back's not up for carrying DS and day's worth of stuff anymore so i've packed my beautiful basket on wheels

right, must go to bed, sorry i haven't caught up...again! i'll try harder on thursday

Sazzles WOW 34E. I'm doing my best to be a 34A. Chatted with a girlfriend yesterday about the possibilities of a boob lift/enhancement. Never before in my life have I EVER considered such a thing but now I might do it. Oh BUT not because you're a 34E. LOL! I just don't like looking like a deflated pool toy.

VG your email has got my head in a spin. I'll try to make heads or tails of my thoughts before Thursday night.

As for thoughts, what next? Anybody pondering that lately. I'm 38 (and a half). Married. 2 kids. Baby making is over. Last baby reached 1 year milestone. So now what? I suddenly feel like a ship adrift on the ocean. I know I'll be busy but what's in it for me now.

Ladies have a blast at the meetup. Facebook me if you want. I'll be around.

Night.

Sazzles loving the new lingerie!

Have a wonderful day at the zoo today will be thinking of you all.

Normal service resumed here today with a 5.40 wake up (yawn)

Took DS to have his first hair cut yesterday (there's an outlet in Toys-r-us). He was very good if a little bewildered and now looks like a proper little boy - I think we were both nearly in tears at one point! MIL got some great photos though so will have to get them posted when I have a mega uploading session soon.

No1 & Sarah have you tried lactose free formula just for a while until the temporary intolerance goes? You can get soy based formulas and also goats milk based ones that might not have the same reaction. Might be worth a try.

TS I really need more Mums to say that kind of thing about no.2 so thanks for that!

sarahnh · 19/08/2009 06:56
