i've put a new battery in my car tonight Surely that's why we have street lights isn't it, so we can be mechanics at night
dp thought i was barmy but i did it

oopsacoconut · 17/08/2009 22:51

Just a quick HI and an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE

I am away earlyish in the morning to have some bloke look at my bottom . Dropping MIL and DD in Bath then I will pootle up to hospital (I will NOT tell MIL what my appointment is for and have threatened DH if he mentioned it!) then back to swap some bras which are uncomfotable and buy MIL a salad for lunch.

Miamla · 17/08/2009 23:19

hey oops i've got a bloke looking at my bottom too Must be the day for it! MIL knows i'm going though so i'll be having a full debrief tomorrow night!
hope your appointment goes really well

hotterpotter · 17/08/2009 23:38

Good luck with the bum-peerage tomorrow girls and hope you get some speedy treatment forthwith!

Am drunk again, DH's birthday has been draggingon extended over the whole weekend but that's it now so I will be back on the everything wagon tommorow in anticipation of holidays in 47 days Have also been planning next year's holidays and working out how many of you I can call in on while we are on our way

Better go to bed really, have a lesson tomorrow and need to sober up for it Ann how are you getting on with your lessons? Have you put in for your theory test yet?

TwilightSurfer · 18/08/2009 00:23

lol at hp's drunk'n posting and oops & miamla's butt business. guess tomorrow will be an interesting day.

thnx for all the early birthday wishes for reese. she is bathed. that's about all i can say we've accomplished.

question: what do i pack in reese's mom's day out bag? tomorrow is the first day i'll be dropping her at the church for mom's day out and i haven't a clue what to make sure she has with her. she will be there from 9am to noon. there's no swimming. she no longer takes bottles during the day. so i guess diapers, wipes, change of clothes, special blanket, snack and lunch food. oh and water cup....right? pacey too. how on earth do i put a name on her pacey????

indelible marker or on a little label tied round the bandle?

Have a lovely day

NezLiquide · 18/08/2009 03:27

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE (it is already 18th here so I can say that without being early)

We took DS to the zoo again yesterday as DH and I had booked another day off work. We had a great time. DS much more interested in the animals this time although we missed feeding the elephants as it decided to pour with rain.

Sarah hope you are paid a visit soon.

Steaky I'm sure you'll have a great time at the zoo and Izzy will be back on track sleeping soon - our one hour time difference from Thailand (they're an hour behind us a little like the UK and France) worked wonders last night as DS slept to 6.40pm (the longest he's ever managed). I feel amazing today but am asuming we'll be back to 5.15 again tomorrow!

Cyteen your ring piccie was also blocked by work but sounds lovely .

sarahnh · 18/08/2009 06:08

Hsppy Birthday Reese!!!!!!

TS hope you enjoy your mummy's day out.. sound like fun

Good luck with those having their bottoms inspected

Hotter very of your drunk status.. cannot remember alcohol let alone that lovely happy state!!!

Horrific night here.. T woke up at 11.10pm just as i was off to bed and screamed for over two hours... then woke up for the day at 5.20am.... arghhhhh... tooke her to the docs yesterday as her tummy bug is still lingering and she may have a milk intolerence.. had to give her quarter strength formula... maybe that why she was up??...

Does anyone know if a milk intolence can be permanent or just a temporary thing.. what else can you give them? she is only on two bottles a day and milk in her cereal but she loves her "milkie" time...

oopsacoconut · 18/08/2009 07:25

Why did I think I wouldn't be here this morning?? DD awake at 5.30 bouncing and happy But it's okay as we need to be gone from here by 8.15.

DD discovered that she can carry things and walk at the same time she walked through to the kitchen this morning carrying DH's wine glass from last night I am ever so thankful she didn't fall or we would be a A&E now. She is now sitting inn her toy drawer shouting at an elephant!

Miamla - good luck this morning

Sarah - some babies develop a milk intolerance with a bug. Had she always has tummy trouble? it would be unlikely that an intolerance would have started so suddenly. I think the weak formula most likely made her hungry at 11. Hope she is better soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY* REESE TS hope you are coping okay with the memories of what today was like a year ago.

dizzydixies · 18/08/2009 08:18

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE am sure you'll be spoiled rotten TS can you please try to promise and relax and enjoy your time of? you deserve it

HP I think I love you and your lush like ways - a drop in on me and Poppy better be on the cards

sazz enjoy your day

No1 hope you're doing ok - I think I now have a crush on you in that dress

cyteen congrats again and loving th squid ring! clever boy waiting for you to design too - I told DH not to even think about picking me something as I haditdesignedwhenIwas15 wanted to do it

oops and sarah sorry to hear about crap nights - its all getting a touch wearing isn't it

miamla and oops good luck with the bot appts - is it wrong to say I'll be thinking of you?!?

sibh and VG love from across the waters - am heading your way in Oct - just me and the girls [MEEP] and are lingus but although dates are booked they may yet change do to my monumental feck up - if they don't change it means my friend has been made redundant - not a winning situation there either way but regardless I'll be over

oops I have a wonderful photo of DD2 brandishing a (very) empty wine bottle with a big cheesy grin and wild hair - must show it to you sometime, priceless!!

steaky hope you're doing ok

pf lovely to have a fleeting glance

hello to all else and apologies for absence recently - stupid charger broke after my jubilitation of getting the laptop fixed!! needless to say have also been a tad hectic trying to cram in loads before school back tomorrow and return to work on Thurs am sorry (and mortified) to whinge as I know the majority of you have done it already so forgive me

right off to run a ridiclious amount of errands that had been put off but hopefully back on later

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 09:10

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE

Hope you have a lovely day.

Good look to those with the bums out today.

sarahnh I am having same problem with ds re milk. Doc said he could have developed temp milk intolerance due to a bug. She said not to give it him of I could. No chance of that. He has had one slightly firm poo in over a month.
any sign of af yet?????
Really rough night here too. Ds took 3 hours to settle to sleep. (very odd) and then woke at 1am and screamed the most horrific screams ever. I didnt know if it was teeth, tummy ache or what. Settled at 2.30am
Change dhis nappy this am and his penis looked swollen and a biot red. Waited for dh to come home from work this am to see what he thought. He wasnt sure, thought it looked ok.
He seems fine atm, will have another look.

dizzY sounds hectic, thanks for the compliments on my dress. I may be brave and put up a front view...or not

hotterhope you have sobered up for the driving lesson.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 09:12

lwfh how are you feeling atm?? Hope you are not too tired.

nezliquise the zoo sounds great, but you didnt get to see elephant feeding. I adore Elephants.
ds loved the little fsrm we went to while away, he was amazed when stroking the sheep.

oops very scary re wine glass. Sometimes best not to think of what could have happened

cyteen · 18/08/2009 09:49

oops isn't it funny how they all seem to go for the booze? DS was reaching for everyone's beer bottles on holiday Reminds me of this picture of me enjoying Christmas dinner many years ago.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE !!!! Hope you're feeling good about the day TS, and feeling moved on iyswim.

Good luck to all the bottom inspectors

sarahnh · 18/08/2009 09:50

no1 doc gave me canesten(sp)cream for Tess's bum as it was horrifically sore, one application and it seems to have calmed down a bit...

well it is now almost 10am and she still hasn't gone back to sleep wtf??? how can my child survive on so little sleep... not sure if you are bf no1 but if formula doc said to dilute it.. ie T has a 7oz bottle morn/eve and have put only 3 1/2 scoops of formula in... not sure if its working yet as have already changed two dirty nappies this am sigh...

no Af but figure that its still too early to make an appearance... feel like my uterus is falling out though with low low pains from hip to hip... not sure whats that about but no bean better be in there!!!

Waves to dizzy and Nez Liquide xxxx

happy happy birthday Reese xx

hotterpotter · 18/08/2009 14:27

Glad my drunkenness has cheered you am sober now, just returned from a driving lesson so actually could do with a swift nip of something...better settle for a cup of tea.

Cyteen your photo is magnificent If I had been quicker off the mark I could have got a picture of DS attempting to swig from my wine glass last weekend. Well I suppose it was his birthday

Better go and sort DD out, she is still in her pyjamas because she wouldn't have a wash this morning , then in to town to open DS' child trust fund. Only 53 weeks late

hotterpotter · 18/08/2009 14:31

D'oh, forgot to say

Happy Birthday Reese

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 14:39

Been to docs this am. They have taken a swab from his little willy!
Poor man, was very red and swollen.
He has some cream and some antibiotics.
endless it is I tell ya....

vg that comment on all paws is very sweet.
hotter glad ou sobered up.
I will be back over to hot mamas asap, with my tail between my legs.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 14:44

cyteen that picture is ace and so is that ring.

sarahnh He hasn't had a bf for a while now, he just lost interest. So I have been diluting ff. or mixing ff and cow milk in the hope of weaning him off the formula.

I have tried just cowsmilk watered down.

He did tug at my top the other night and tried to bf, but obviously I don't have much left. It was very very sweet to see his face though, he kept smacking/licking his lips, grining at me then rooting for more.
bless.

x fingers for better sleep for you tonight.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 14:46

oh and poo result for ds came back all clear.
No infection,no rota virus. Mystery then.
I am thinking it must be to do with the milk then.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/08/2009 14:48

I have decided to make my own sweet hamper for my brother.

Never thought I would spend so much on e numbers.
I have just opened a packet of toffifee [oh dear]
I have eaten 4 and now want more.
I must wrap all the sweets up before I start on the wham bars

ok I am really going now

TwilightSurfer · 18/08/2009 14:51

THANK YOU! We are skipping Mom's Day Out for three reasons. #1 Reese was up half the night screaming her head off because of her new molars (now they are coming in on the right side). #2 DD1 is with me so that kinda makes transition with Reese at the nursery not so easy (will be easier on thrus when dd1 is in school). #3 It's Reese's birthday and I just can't put my baby in childcare on her birthday when I really don't need her to be in childcare.

No milk intolerance here but I have heard it can improve over time.

ladies can you help with my buggy decision for tomorrow? P&T or maclaren. Im thinking maclaren as it's a train, tube, train, bus journey...? have not used sling for ages and ds is not used to sleeping in it...

i am excited about our excursion!!

no1 poor wee M, step away from the sweeties

dizzy Thursday hope it goes well

oops & miamla hope your exams today went ok, not too many details later please

dizzydixies · 18/08/2009 17:02

Sambo - Maclaren

very re the meetup

feeling rather down a two phone conversations I've had today re Thursday haven't gone very well and that horribly sick to my stomach feeling has crept back in - its easy to be brave when you can ignore things, not so much anymore

on a plus point I am now a Company Director and pathetically excited about it - suppose it all makes the cafe a bit more real [meep]

its normally about now I start changing my mind

got to go, DD1's wee friend here and they're getting a tad competitive on the wii so time to intervene I think
