LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2009 19:27

Anton used to sell beds in a showroom in Gravesend

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 20:17

yy to Ben Miller with Rob Bryden as his uglier twin, but can't see Anton resembling them at all. Actually, watching strictly on catch up; Anton is definately the younger brother or cousin!!

I think it's his funny, but intelligent thing that gets me (he was waxing lyrical about the hadron collider on QI ). My heart is skipping a beat just thinking about him ; am I having a midlife crisis? I cannot remember the last time I had a serious crush on a sleb.....14 and a big John Taylor fan I think! If I get DH to put his shades on and take my own glasses off I can imagine

Had a lovely day today puttering in the garden and hoiking mud out of bumble's gob every five minutes!! DD and I made a mini mood garden using gravel, lots of nice stones we collected on holiday, some glass pebbles, DH's (mini!) model of an Easter Island head and some fossils. It looks lovely

trace2 · 26/09/2009 20:24

just a quick post chloe as done it sorry am so delighted after 3 days it came !! sorry for tmi

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 20:33

lol Trace......yay Chloe; I hope she feels better for it

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/09/2009 21:39

Oh good for Chloe

Jamlet on the other hand managed a huge and stinky and slimey one while we out for a very nice lunch today. Thankfully it was a nice day, (so nice that we were outside and therefore not disturbing everyone as we read Meg's Veg between courses ) as there is NO room in the ladies for changing her so I would have had to get wet to change her on the grass outside. As it was I just moved a little way away from the restaurant (there were some other diners outside) and then found there were people putting up tents in the garden. But thankfully they didn't seem offended by it.

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2009 22:36

Well whilst we're discussing toileting , DD and I went shopping for the afternoon in town. she wore her knickers (with a travel potty in tow) and she done 4 wees and a poo in it and knickers stayed dry

justbeme · 26/09/2009 22:51

Ohh thats good Norty!!
Mind you - those travel potties are a faff putting the bags on don't you think?? - can I ask - where did she "hide" to use it?
We went shopping today and L used Burger King loos twice, the shopping centre loo and Starbucks!! I hate public loos - esp. the ones where men use them too!

LittleMissNorty · 26/09/2009 23:12

I put the bag on first JBM so I wouldn't be trying to work it out while she wet herself, then replaced it as soon as it was used. The first was in the baby room at Debenhams, 2nd in baby room in a coffee shop, 3rd between me and my mum and in front of the double buggy out in the fresh air and 4th in the baby room at the car park before we came home. She wee's on demand. She stands up and announces to everyone what she has done (and asks for a sticker), then sits back down and carries on - I wish I had bladder control like that!!

I was a little more circumspect than usual about leaving her with a drink in her buggy.

So next step is toilet....she isn't keen....how'd you crack that one? (got a training seat but its a long way down to wee!

Woohoo butterfly Good to have you back amongst us; you've definately been missed . I hope you had a good summer.

Yesterdays good mood evaporated rapidly this morning when I realised I had no GF bread or cereal and ate a snickers for breakfast.....cue blood sugar rush and subsequent crash and a very grumpy me. I hid in the living room with my knitting all day while DH watched the kids run riot in the garden and did a few wee jobs.

We did get all the (not quite) Brio traintrack down from the attic, and the box of the Thomas trains and I had a lovely hour with bumble, building tracks that he then destroyed. DS1 was getting all reminiscent about his old toys; it was very sweet watching him exlcaiming over them all as he brought them out the box....then he and DD kept fighting over everything

Yay on DD's potty training Norty. We are so far off that stage with DD; for evey wee she gets in the potty; she pees in her pants another 20 times.

justbeme · 27/09/2009 20:40

Oohh its quiet today!
Hi TBE - we all wondered where you were! So you had a good hol then? How long were you away? Hope you're feeling better today.

Norty - re the loo - I just offered it to her as no big deal and she was fine with it - I think I said something like using it like Mummy and Daddy or big girls. I just hold her on it when out and about - and make sure I have a handful of paper in my hand before I lift her up on it -otherwise its tricky!!

I've pulled my lower back bending down and its painful!! am sitting on a heat pad.

Aw butterfly, that's shit about your DH, but good that your friend is being a good friend about it. not sure how to even begin to broaching the subject though. Can you just let on that you know in a vague way and shame him into behaving himself? Sort of "oooh, my mate was telling me that this arse was trying to hit on her and he's meant to be married" or something of that ilk? or is that too devious? If he is used to you being succinct then maybe just come out with it.

good here; hoping to start BFC training soon, selling nappies for some spending money, enjoying things much better than I have recently, realising though that knitting wool longies isn't going to make me my fortune as my finishing off is just shite, and being kept busy with three demanding children....oh and I joined a choir and did my first performance on Friday which was good fun.

FB pics tell it all!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/09/2009 21:28

That is shit Butterfly. Sorry. But good to have you back.

Full of cold here but OK. Well mostly OK. Now settling down to watch some TV though, and away tomorrow night so back in a couple of days.

LatinDAISYcal · 27/09/2009 21:29

how do I send an ebay invoice for multiple purchases?

justbeme · 27/09/2009 21:45

Butterfly - I think you've just got to be direct about it and see what he says. Im sure he'll have an excuse - they always do!!
Try and think of some comebacks that you can use before hand , if the need arises.

Hope you can work it out.

Am at a meeting in London 12 - 6 pm Monday and 9am - 1pm on Tuesday, so I am staying over at my DBrother's rather than coming home. He is going to Brazil next week, for 12-18 months so will be nice to see him one last time before he goes.

SHould be in bed, but am entranced by last week's Waking the Dead so am sitting up. Will regret it in the morning no doubt.

butterfly. keep posting.

things as ever up and down here. DH is doing his own "phased return" to work and has gone back to cooking in a local pub part time. He has also joined the pool team and apparently sang karaoke last night. He is doing his fair share of being an arse, what with work being everything and me and the kids being a bit of an inconvenience, though the really horrible stuff of the other week seems to have blown over/hidden under the carpet.

Busy weekend with the boys. here yesterday (baggins got bitten by a penguin. His own fault, he stuck his hand through a gap in the fence to wave hello!) and car boot sales and forestry today. We did a 2 hour walk at baggins pace (maybe 2- 2.5 miles), he walked all the way, and they had chinese takeaway for tea. DH and I were meant to be having one too, but he is having a spam sandwich and brought me a Sunday roast from work, which I can't face eating, so I think he is having the sandwich to make me feel bad!

I have even ironed school uniform, and signed DS1s planner!

yay for DD with the potty norty.

have a good time jammy

butterfly sounds like things are pretty difficult at home at the minute. I wish I had some advice for you; a virtual hug seems pretty lame! Could you talk to your HCPs to get their take on the situation and maybe some advice on how to get him some help. It certainly sounds like he is acting very strangely.
