TheNattyTheHippy · 24/09/2009 18:10

no daisy i am having the same problem

LatinDAISYcal · 24/09/2009 22:15

blimming heck (note no swearing...we are a swear free zone here now!) tis quiet.

I have some type news......was at the "Friends Of..." meeting at DS1's school tonight (where I have just volunteered been nominated and seconded as treasurer ) and we were discussing what the school wants to do with the money from the last few PTA events, and they have decided on more books for their new and upgraded library. They want to have a look at my book catalogue which could mean about £500 in commission for me

bumble has just gone to bed; there is something not very right at all today. He's teething, but I'm not sure that's it, as he is just screaming all the time and arching his back with his arms up above his head, almost like he is trying to get away. He was doing this all afternoon but if I put him on the floor, he was crawling to my feet and sobbing to be picked up; pick him up and he starts the writhing and arching. there is obviously pain somewhere as calpol sorts him out, but I can figure it out. He hasn't got a temp, but is a wee bit snotty and a bot constipated, inspite of lots of fruit and drinks. why is this child such an enigma???????

kristinaRIAnoff · 24/09/2009 22:45

poor bumble daisy. your book sales sound good though.

I am KNACKERED from making a mountain of scones (fruit and mini cheese ones), cake, buns, odd buns that look like you've dropped them (my mum makes them too so it's not just me), jam tarts and tuna, mozarella and sweetcorn pasties for the boys "healthy" tea.

and now I actually have to attend the damned coffee morning tomorrow too. (am going to the usual family one with my parents, rather than the school one. DH can go to that if he feels so moved).

kristinaRIAnoff · 24/09/2009 23:19

I have just discovered Delia online. DOn't tell DH

LittleMissNorty · 25/09/2009 09:04

Blimey Ria.....I'm impressed!

How is Bumble Daisy? Seen your status on FB so assume you didn't have a great night?

DD going great guns here.....went to Tesco's yesterday and she stayed dry, dry during naps (and overnight - although I'm not worried about that). And she has now started telling me she needs the potty

Bought some ITNG knickers for her

FrazzledFairyFay · 25/09/2009 12:46

Hi everyone, Really sorry I haven't been around much lately. We are off on holiday, tomorrow, for two weeks. I'll try and post more often when we're back.

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 14:47

Have a good holiday Fairy. Where are you off to?

Not a good night at all, and I think it's been his ears as there has been orange/reddy gunk coming out of one today and he is letting out a high pitched wail if I go near it; it's also squelching attractively if you press just in front of his earhole. But, he is resolutely cheerful (doing handbrake turns with the baby walker at stay and play) and has no temperature so is there any point in taking him to the GP?

bloominmg heck Ria; sounds like you are rightfully polishing your domestic goddess crown after all that baking. I'm impressed

Yay to DD Norty!!......I'm going to try and persevere with DD over the weekend and next week. she has moments of being capable and then today she has asked for a nappy all day.

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 15:29

have a great time fairy - don't forget to harvest your farm before you go!

so down and no energy today Just waiting for DS1 to get home, then we're niping to the shops to buy dtuff for tea, and DS1 & 2 s friend (brothers are coming over for a Wii fest and tea.) Is strictly on oplayer tonight or will I have to wait til tomorrow (don't expect I'll get to watch it, won't be able to hear anyway!)

glad bumbles illness isn't so mystery daisy.

LittleMissNorty · 25/09/2009 16:51

Daisy....he needs ABs....that's what my two had a few weeks ago....doc took one look and said amoxycillin. It obviously hurts him....poor little mite . I even rung the HV cos I thought I was going to be fobbed off by GP. But the GP said there was no fever because it was discharging....but still needs treating.

Hope he improves soon x

Have good hols Fairy . I want a holiday without kids!

trace2 · 25/09/2009 17:18

have a good holiday fairy!

natty glad your dh is home and on the mend!

daisy hope bumble better soon!

RIA mmm the baking sounds so nice,

norty well done dd on the potty training wish chloe was ready?

anyone know about with holding poo? this is what chloe is doing she got hold of somthing with milk in now she constipated and with holding just crying every time she needs to poo!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/09/2009 19:27

Have a fab time Fairy!!

Poor Bumble, hope he is better soon.

Busy day here. Library, dentist (inc her first check up), Sainsburys, lunch out (sandwiches on a bench), children's centre, and then cooking curry for us all for tea. I'm exhausted now. And just before bed I found her waving a wooden lion at our collection of cat ornaments going "Aaaaaaaar, aaaaaaaaar"(roaring). Very cute

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 20:14

trace, my friend's DD used to withhold poo all the time. They used to give her lactulose. I would speak to your GP?HV or Chloe's consultant and get their advice.

Haven't seen a doctor, bumble seems much better (I have really sore ears now though ) but if there is still doischarge tomorrow than we will get him to the OOH doc or take him to the walk in centre.

Did my first gig tonight with the choir; it was actually quite good fun, but there was only a small audience. It sounded quite effective though and the audience was appreciative so it must have been OK....or maybe that was the wine they had been drinking all afternoon

trace2 · 25/09/2009 20:29

thanks daisy chloe can not have lactulose theres milk in it they did give her suppository for when it happens but we dont like giving them and dont like keep telling them as them they know she got ohold of some thing wi milk in( we do try but she wants what jack as even one cheese & onion crisps does this to her!

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 20:33

daisy. I used to sing before I was PG with DS2 (I can't remember if I've told you this already, but I think I typed it all the other night then the PC crashed), the conductor chap was a colleague of DHs who said I had potential! But of course DHs job changed and I had to give it up Also it was very middle-aged and cliquey. I volunteered to help with the school choir, but they don't need me atm.

It's been a long day here too. I'm shattered. Returned the boys friends to their rightful owners about an hour agao, after 3 pizzas, chicken nuggets and chip;s, and a hell of a lot of baking! Oh and an unfortunate conversation about adultery at the tea table, and DS1 telling his friend how much better-mannered he is than their other friend (true enough, but I don't really want it getting back to the other boy or his mum!)

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 20:36

poor chloe.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/09/2009 20:44

Poor Chloe indeed. Poor little thing

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 25/09/2009 21:29

Oh and the dentist thinks my intermittent tooth ache is due to the next tooth along being broken. She thinks food is getting into the gap where the break is and upsetting the gum and causing the pain. So a filling in 3 weeks for me.

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 21:49

of course lactulose is a nono. My mum used to swear by giving us syrup of figs

What about prune juice?

good news it's only a filling jammy and nothing worse.

Fridays have got a whole load better now Strictly is on....loving it this time, although the frocks aren't as nice as previous seasons.

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 22:28

Baggins is still awake!

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 22:44

Ben Miller It occured to me last week that I think he is rather attractive, and I actually think I have a (ather teenage-esque) crush on him.....even with his little bald patch at the back.

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 23:11

For Ria

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 23:20

he has a nice smile. I would have to see him in action (so to speak) to decide whether crush-worthy or not.

LatinDAISYcal · 25/09/2009 23:33

he is on QI from time to time. Last week was with Rob Bryden and is on Jonathan Ross at the mo.

kristinaRIAnoff · 26/09/2009 00:24

bugger, was watching Midsomer Murders on DVD. Baggins WILL NOT sleep.

TALLULAHBELLEOFTHEBALLROOM · 26/09/2009 16:20

Always think that Ben
Miller, Rob Bryden & Anton DuBeke could have been separated at birth
