Oh Daisy, you poor thing. It is possible to get it more than once but is rare. Could be shingles. Any pain around where the spots are? Looks like lunch is off then as you would be contagious.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/09/2009 10:28

arses. I'm going to pop to the pharmacy and see what they say. No pain around them, although it was a bit tender yesterday. no more actual blisters though, just red spots....this is good yes? Surely if chicken pox I'd have more than seven spots?

Having what feels like a severe gall bladder attack .....except I haven't got a gall bladder any more . WTF

Its exactly the same, and fucking hurts. DH can't get home as his car is being serviced and returned at 5.30pm. Can't take any painkillers as took some at 2pm for a headache

Dumped my shopping in Sainsbury's and drove home rather quickly.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/09/2009 20:56

Are you OK Norty?

Watchdog are doing a thing on school uniforms and comparing all the main retailers.......how bloody timely is that?

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 11/09/2009 08:56

OK now.....had two attacks lasting over 4 hours each....been up most of the night. I took 3 lots of pain killers....two of them I took codeine and an hour after taking them, I got an attack...googled it this morning and it looks like a severe reaction to codeine....thank god for that.

PJ day here today!

LittleMissNorty · 11/09/2009 09:03

Ohhh DS has had his pic published in this months M&B

TALLULAHBELLE · 11/09/2009 11:04

Hello. I am still alive. Not much time on my hands though -chaos reigns around here. DH has taken all 3 to toddlers so I've an hour or two spare. Looked at the shitty nappy pile, the mountain of undealt with paperwork, sink full of dishes etc etc & decided to have a cuppa & catch up on MN. . Best make sure I at least get dressed before he comes back though. Off to skim the thread see what I've missed.

Oh, very belated congrats to Natty & Fury. Know I missed out on the new arrivals. Hope all well.

Hopefully be back later.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 11/09/2009 12:20

hello
glad you are ok Norty!
Hello Tallulah!

I am knackered, if it's not DS2 screaming for food, or just not wanting to settle, it's DS1 wanting cbeebies, or DH wanting a shag.
Argh!

I had a committee meeting yesterday with my new volunteer job, it's quite fun, it's like mumsnet only with faces and cake.

Norty - I made this ice cream this morning, a recipe I made up, I would recommend except I ate so much I now feel sick.
banoffee ice cream

2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups double cream
1 cup milk
2-3 VERY ripe bananas
4-5 chocolate hobnobs
mild toffee sauce or toffee bits

mash up bananas really well before adding and rough chop the hobnobs and add a swirl of toffee at the very end.
It's DECADENT

LittleMissNorty · 11/09/2009 12:41

bloody hell, that sounds lovely....except I am trying to lose some weight

Hello Tallulah

Sputnik · 11/09/2009 16:27

Hi Tallulah, cup of tea and MN definitely the right choice. Must be unbelievably hectic for you.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 11/09/2009 18:00

Back home from hols. DH now away for weekend. A bit (esp as our anniversary tomorrow) but also looking to some quiet time. Hol was good, will post pics on FB later.

Daisy - you have nerves of steel! And hope spotsaren't CP. I had it twice as a child btw. 2nd time was awful!

Hi T, was thinking about you this morning funnily enough Hope you enjoyed your sit down.

Ohforfoxsake · 11/09/2009 20:28

Just ducking in to say Hi

Hope you are all well. Dashing off again to shout at the boys

xx

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/09/2009 17:11

Sorry I missed you Foxy

Well took Jamlet to the rainforest this morning, and we have painted, made a birthday card, played with the play dough, and eaten sun-warmed tomatos picked fresh off the plant this afternoon What a nice way to spend my anniversary. Hope DH is having as good a day. And got some lovely chocs for this evening too

LackaDAISYcal · 12/09/2009 20:01

yoohoo tallualh, good to see you

Sputnik, how are things with you? did the doc get you sorted (will catch up on other threads in a mo)

Our internet connection has been down since Thursday and they only got it up and running at half six tonight; the whole of Leeds was out apparently....tossers

back to ebaying my life away......

I'm meeting up with Holly tomorrow . she is visiting her DP's rellies and is going to pop over for a coffee! I'm soooooo excited

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 12/09/2009 20:27

Oooh, say Hi to Holly!

Just eaten some very yummy hotel choc choccies. Better save some for DH though!

justbeme · 12/09/2009 21:45

Just popping in!!
Hi Tallulah!

Thanks for that question Sputnik - I've been nursing a sore nipple and didnt realise it had a name "milk blister"
perhaps its more common with extended BF??

Off to apply a hot compress!! (and a glass of vino!)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/09/2009 13:54

Hi JBM!
Sorry to hear about sore nipples.

Busy morning. Swimming (well splashing), and the park, then took a birthday card/present round to one of Jamlet's friends ready for his birthday tomorrow. She is thankfully napping now.

LittleMissNorty · 13/09/2009 14:41

So have I done the right thing by not moving to Virgin then Daisy?

Oh I was getting all excited about a DC4 then!

I wish I'd started having DCs earlier....I would definitely have had more ....but I shall make do with my 2 lovelies! DS is SUCH a messy eater (as seen on FB!), but he loves it. Its such good fun watching him eat his dinner! I would definitely BLW properly next time!

Lazy Sunday for us....well if getting up at 5am, roast pork dinner, two kids and 4 loads of washing / ironing is lazy!

Funeral tomorrow and DH has DS all day on his own!

MakkaPakkasWilly · 13/09/2009 14:52

I am bored.... and it's bliss!
both dc's are asleep

I made blueberry pancakes for breakfast, but DS1 didn't want them as he is ill, bastard. All the more for me then.

justbeme · 13/09/2009 21:27

Sooo Holly and Daisy - do spill!

LackaDAISYcal · 13/09/2009 22:49

evening all

sooo, that holly one is right cow

holly is sooooo lovely and her DC are gorgeous and were very well behaved. I'm well impressed with W's toilet training!! We had a lovely chat and played in the house and garden; DD and DS1 were impeccably well behaved as well, and bumble thought all the goings on were great fun, once he had woken up and stopped crying at the strangers!!

Had a bit of a hectic day as we had BIL and family over later as well with their brood three children (including the manic twins) and I've been doing ebay listings all evening . But, I've finally sold one of the crappy Graco buggies (for the bargain price of £42.99 but I've made a bit on the postage ). One down, one to go, lol.

right, off to catch up with DH who was building more raised beds in the garden until after 10 o'clock (in the dark with a head torch...nutter!!!!)
