Jammy, did you get into the dress for the wedding? I meant ot ask before.

I'm going to go to the slimming world class tomorrow night I think. Had a shitty day of shouting at the kids and being tired and premenstrual/menstrual and have eaten two hotel chocolat smiley face lollipops and had 3/4 litre of norfolk cider (it will go off if I don't drink it by tomorrow, honest guv).

Loved the hotel chocolat shop in Norwich.....and we spent £20 on rum soaked raisins, kirsch soaked cherries and chocolate gingers and ate them all in one evening. DD loved the rum soaked raisins!!

Hello

I'm back minus a gall bladder....a bit spaced out and tired but ok. I have my gall stone in a pot - it was about half the size of a golf ball

Dotty old dear opposite kept me awake all night offering everyone lots of money to get her out of there

DS kept DH up all night....welcome to my world!

Back later when I'm a bit more with it

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/08/2009 11:56

Glad to see you survuved Norty. Gallstone in a pot, eh? Which of the DCs will that be left to!? I once held a man's shattered prostate gland in a jar, but that's another matter!

I could have fitted into the dress, Daisy . But I didn't wear it It was a little snugger than I would have liked and DH pointed out that it was low cut at the back and my bra showed. I didn't have time before the wedding to get a bra sorted out, and with it also being low(ish) cut at the front I didn't feel comfortable going braless. I think that if I had been just a guest I might have worn it, but as I was being photographer, I knew I would have to be up and about, moving around, bending a lot etc. So I wanted to wear something that was physically comfortable, and that I wouldn't be worrying about all the time.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/08/2009 13:36

glad you are OK norty, but at the size of the stone. I never got anything back as my gallbladder was just full of gritty sludge rather than one big stone.

so the dress lives to fight another day then? will you get a chance to wear it soon.

My diet officially started today and is getting a bit of a boost by virtue of stomach cramps, sickness and diahorrea . I feel crap and just want to go to bed. the two little ones are asleep now and DS1 is at our neighbours....so I'm going to shut my eyes for half an hour on the sofa.

LittleMissNorty · 18/08/2009 16:27

fuck fuck fuck...DH received a "we are reviewing your post" letter

Daisy....you are in M&B this month

LittleMissNorty · 18/08/2009 16:29

Jammy, I've held lots of detached bits of people during my career (but mainly breast specimens!!). I can put everyone off their dinner in an instant in a restaurant .

When I got my cat spayed years ago, I gave the vet a pot of formalin so I could take it to work and block it out

LackaDAISYcal · 18/08/2009 16:43

arse for DH Norty . How are you feeling? Not too sore I hope.

what's happening with your DH Jammy?

I feel like shite, aching and shivering all over. MrD has come home from work as I am so sore I can't even lift the DC . I'm off to bed.

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 18/08/2009 19:19

Glad the op went well Norty, hope you aren't too sore for too long, but big ARSE for your DH

Daisy - hope you feel better soon

Everybody - hello

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/08/2009 19:41

Hi all

Daisy, get well soon. You too Norty of course, and yes, arse for your DH Things looked ropey for Mr Jammy for a bit but things have pulled through and they have work for the rest of the year at least

The dress lives to see another day yes. My brother is getting married in 3 weeks, but I have bought another outfit anyway!

RIAlityBites · 18/08/2009 21:43

and fingers crossed for Mr Norty, hope all well with you norty.

ysy for Mr Daisy being essential too

no pics for FB yet, went for a run on the beach so haven't had my date with the haridye! But, hair is similar to this (though it wasn't meant to be) but maybe a bit fluffier!

MakkaPakkasWilly · 19/08/2009 08:56

SLEEP!
The little bugger went 10-2.30 then 3-7

I RULE

I did it by foie gras feeding him all day yesterday and keeping him awake!

I bet it won't last though!

And I am losing 2lbs a day! WHOPEEEEE

MakkaPakkasWilly · 19/08/2009 09:05

Where is our lurking man?
He's a tease.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2009 10:16

I'm dying

Have the most horrendous stomach cramps and diahorrea and have spent half the night running to the loo and not eaten anything since breakfast yesterday and everytime I drink something I'm racked with cramps and then it all just ours out the other end.....I even had to resort to newborn nappies in my knickers last night

Not sure if I ned to see a doc or not.

OP posts:
MakkaPakkasWilly · 19/08/2009 10:56

Daisy it's worth seeing a GP if it's not too much hassle, you might need antibiotics like ciprofloxin or norfloxicin.

Otherwise just sweat it out, drink plenty of gastrolyte and water
Icy cold coke is another good one.

You poor thing. Stomach bugs are the worst.

LittleMissNorty · 19/08/2009 11:19

sounds like gastroenteritis. Can you ring the surgery and get the doc to ring you later?

fuck its hot here today.

I have a pretty impressive bruise....but compared to my 2 c sections, this is no problem. Last week I was imagining that I was never going to see my children again, they would grow up not remembering me etc (funny thing anxiety is!). I think I'm just relieved its all over. I was relieved when I woke up in recovery . I had a chocolate eclair with real cream yesterday

Seriously need to diet though....after DHs holiday we are going to get going....may not be able to afford to eat by then anyway

LittleMissNorty · 19/08/2009 11:30

Thinking about it you should call the doctor - if you have salmonella or campylobacter its notifiable. They will need a sample.

RIAlityBites · 19/08/2009 11:33

norty, and of course.

If I don't have something like that today it'll be a miracle.

AIBU? I know I probably am, but DH was working 15/20 mins away from his DD on Monday, and was too tired to visit her on his break. He is now insisting we visit today (over an hour each way) and take her out with the kids. This after discussing our holiday next week, which he isn't coming on anymore, and saying I should come home early so we can spend his days off together. It is awful she had the accident, but she's not in any danger now, his DS doesn't even unplug his headphones when DH visits, and as soon as DD is better it will be forgotten that DH visited every week. It wouldn't be so bad if he sould be civil to our DCs more than once a day)

daisy, get in touch with the GP, I had gastroenteritis when DS1 was a baby and it was awful. My GP receommended flat lager. Hope you feel better soon.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 19/08/2009 11:39

I had campylobacter when I lived in Aus.
I thought I was going to die.

But with that I had jelly poo. Is that TMI?

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2009 12:59

thanks guys.....pmsl at flat lager. I would do that ria, but it would aggravate my coeliac disease and give me....diahorrea

I've eaten some chicken and rice so we'll see how that goes down and then I'll maybe call them later.

I can't think it's food posoning as I everything I've eaten has been eaten by someone else in this house as well. The only thing I had different was some cider on Monday night that I brought back from hols. It was bought last Tuesday and was to be drunk within 8 days so it should have been OK.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/08/2009 13:10

Poor you Daisy. The cramping - and subsequent rushing to the loo - when you even drink something sounds just like I have had with food poisoning in the past. Horrible! Hope the worst is over and you get better soon.

Circus time at the children's centre today. We decorated a clown's hat for Jamlet to wear and she generally had fun playing whili I chatted to a few of the mums. Sounds like I missed a fab day out at the beach the other week when I was ill

My old room-mate and flat-mate from uni days is now a GP and has an article on student health being printed in the Guardian tomorrow. Be interesting to see what she recommends and how it compares to how we used to live all those years back

MakkaPakkasWilly · 19/08/2009 16:39

where is everyone, I am bored.

I have even made a fish pie, that is how bored I am.

Tis TRES hot though, poor DS2 is roasting. Better that than cold though I spose.

I feel naughty.
I bought an Avent ISIS IQ last week, and tried it, it was pants, so I got DH to take it back for a refund, we said it was faulty

Got my money back though!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2009 20:19

I'm busy blowing my top at my children who won't go to bed as usual and I am NOT IN THE MOOD. They are all out of control, but then again I don't exactly set a good example

I fucking hate my life at the minute.

OP posts:
RIAlityBites · 19/08/2009 21:35

daisy.

I have a new favouritest-ever shop - Virgin Vie at the outlet centre. I have bought Dsis a gorgeous bracelet for xmas (£18 down to £3)and some earrings for me that will go nicely with the bracelet my SS gave me last year. V chuffed. (it made up for SDD casually metioning how skint she is on sick pay - welcome to my world!), got DS2s school shoes sorted for £19 at clarks outlet too.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/08/2009 21:59

indeed Daisy.

I have just done 2.25 hours testing as my work stint for tonight. My brain aches.

Both Jamlet and I seemed to feel a bit tired and can't be arsed this afternoon, so we had a nice quiet time doing some puzzles, reading books and watching a bit of cbeebies. At one point late afternoon I really couldn't face taking her up for a nappy change so I just stripped the wet nappy off and let her run about half nekkid. To my joy, about 40 mins later she climbed down off the sofa, got the potty, sat and had a wee So might give potty another go!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/08/2009 22:02

And Ria, glad you're pleased but afraid I'm not much struck by Virgin Vie. Sorry
