I'd love to go on Hols...but not to a place when I'd have to be in a suit...unless it was just me and DH and Meg... a private island mmmmmm

Bavaria, South Germany. It's near the Alps but really quite mediterranean in terms of stripping off.

I would love to go to Germany even though I don't speak the language.

DD has buggered off TO HER HELICOPTER and left us starving. DH just rang and offered to make me an omelette. I said I should offer her up for the village feast next week - we build a great big rotisserie thing and grill whole animals and then eat them in baps. I think the local deli could do some nice salads to go with her.

We're going on holiday tomorrow, hooray! Just to a cottage in North Wales for a week, but with two of my best friends and their children (one was born the day after Orbit and one is 16 months). Also one husband.

DP is coming for the weekend only Stupid work.

Bleu fingers crossed it's a false alarm - I can't really remember what my periods were like when I was bf last time, but I don't remember them being very regular or predictable.

Boff your DD should definitely be roasted. Or at least hauled over the coals. I think you should turn up where she's about to board her glamorous helicopter and start telling her off in front of all her glamorous PR buddies. That'd teach her

Going for a bath now, haven't had a bath or shower today and I feel rank.

WFH I have actually videoed the state of her room and am undecided whether to post it on YouTube or not. MN Jury - you decide!!!

Doing a bit of catching up now before off to bed...

Juw, thank you for advice. Suppose I will have to take dd1 to the docs next time then.. sigh...

Nutty, we were referring to the Grobag egg - basically a room thermometer that changes colour with the temperature so you can see what temperatur the room is from the corner of your eye while rolling over in bed. Very useful for short sighted people like me

Bleu - this is just the age the little ones start moving about - DD1 explored every corner of her cot every night - I don't think you should try to contain her, just pull her away from the bars when she gets stuck. And no more leaving unsupervised on changing tables, sofas or your bed!

Nutty - details of the park meet up - well we didn't have double vodkas just strawberries and apricots and it was all very civilised.

Juw - child free wedding. Grrrrrr. Surely they realise that as a bfing mother you can't leave your baby behind just like that? Can you ask for a special permission to bring Hugo?

LOL I see we're on to vegetable sex now, having done animals a few months ago...

Bleu - preggers???? Noooo surely not????

Surprise yes did see your post about the murmur, thanks xxx

Boff - at your DD. Can you send her shopping? In her helicopter? And where are you going on hols, anywhere exciting?

Ah just saw where you're going... not so exotic then Bring me some knoedel and weisswurst!

Nutty, Bleu, no need to be polite in Germany. And they all speak reasonable English anyway. Ah, I see Boff beat me to this one.

Boff yes YouTube it, go on

Schulte - good luck with sleeping.

Boffin - I think you have lost weight, no? Congratulations!

Juw - good thoughts, you sound a little stressed.

Nutty, details of the R'mond park meet up: I was v. late. Lulu and Schulte are both very beautiful. Their babies are very gorgeous, Lulu's ds has the mobile wide smiling mouth of a 30s matinee idol and Schulte's dd2 looks like a blonde and bonny soap advertisement from 1905. Lulu also had a gorgeous dd present with a pretty pixie face who was making friends far and wide. Schulte's dc1 was not present.

Bleu - good luck with the pg test - I hope you get the right outcome.

[stage whisper: I WOULD BE SO EXCITED IF ONE OF OUR NUMBER WAS TO HAVE ANOTHER APRIL BABY!!!!!!] Sorry, did I say that out loud?

morning all! (why am I always the first one on here? oh yes it's because I ignore my children during my breakfast)

so went to the docs yesterday. Saw Dr "come back in a couple weeks if you still feel that way" S. She booked me in for bloods. She thinks my iron is low. But checking for infection and thyroid levels as well. But they had to squeeze me in to get bloods done so don't have appt until Wednesday now. which means so results until the following Monday probably. What a PITA.
SHe thought the mood thing was a normal post-birth dip. I'd liek htat to be true but I've been here before. We'll see what the bloods say and go from there though.

Bleu - That's put the fear into me. I really need to start taking more precautions.

Boffin - Sounds like your DD is a typical young woman. Completely oblivious to everything and everyone around her. Will she be going with you on your hols? If not that may be a good wake up call for her if she has to fend for herself for a while. (leave the fridge empty when you go!!)

Nutty - I totally agree that no one else should be allowed a holiday. The best we've had in the last few years in spending 2 nights at a friend cabin up in Aviemore. IT was free...and freezing!

Juw - first thing i did when I foudn out I was pregnant was to get my provisional licence. I had 2 lessons then chickened out. but right now i realy really wish I had stuck with it and could just GO places!
And why is it that men will listen to their colleagues at work before they listen to their own wives?? You are doing great. Just ignore your DH. Bottles of formula are a magic cure...bottle fed babies don't automatically sleep through the night.

In fact I am very convinced that it's luck of the draw more than anything. I've basically done the sme thing with both my kids (BF, Co-sleep etc) one was a great sleeper, one was a NOT great sleeper!

OH! re-BF friend;y dresses...i started a thread a couple weeks ago... here didn't get much of a response though there are a few suggestions.
