PMSL Puzzle! That is a seriously rude parsnip. I have to say I have been very hormonal and tearful today - burst into tears over the state of DD's bedroom and her treatment of me as she flounces about doing PR as a summer job but expecting me to be her slave, and that parsnip has cheered me up no end.

DH came home last night and said "I think I am in the wrong job". "Why?" I asked. DH replied, "Because I have just been listening to DD on the phone in the hall and heard her say 'Which helicopter are you going to be in then? I am going in the first one with xxxx (celeb's name)'. In my job there are no helicopters".

Poor DH.

Boff I worked in PR for about 6 years, never once got anywhere near a helicopter. Where did she get this summer job!

Not offended in the slightest Bleu, I assumed you were joking Besides, I can get on my soapbox about weaning, so need to be told to shut up sometimes. I am inspired partly by people on other websites who say things like:

"Brilliant, DD is 13 weeks so we've started weaning, that baby rice looks disgusting though so DH gave her some chocolate buttons to cheer her up LOL LOL"

seriously, I saw that on a forum (NOT Mumsnet, I hasten to add)

Meg has managed to get herself to the top of the bed again and jammed against the rails!! This time though she didn't have her her spit up rag around her head as I've been paranoid about not having anything in the bed anylonger...any ideas how I can contain her?
I'm nervous now.
Suggests I shouldn't leave her in the middle of our bed after an early morning feed as she could end up in the pillows or pushing herself off the bed...

I'm not sure how she does it exactly, I'm assuming she's digging in her heels and pushing herself up...

I feel like I've no safe place to have her sleep.

Could you put a rolled-up blanket under her legs, so her feet are raised and she can't dig in? Though I suppose that might make it easier for her to roll....

WFH that is awful! Seriously, people should have to do some kind of basic competency training before they are allowed to conceive.

I was just thinking that too...I could at least try it. Don't know if she'll just kick it out of the way...but I'm going to try it I think.

Auld that's very cute I like the cloud. Do we think the sides could cause suffocation hazards though?

Report
Bleuravin · 02/07/2009 15:43

And yes links to nice BFing dresses!

Bleu, I don't know, I wondered that. Maybe if she rolls...

exhibit one

Still trying to find the other one online, it's from Monsoon too, a cornflower blue jersey tulip dress. Basically with both of these you pull the fabric down to access milk dispensers Just need a hooter hider pashmina to cover up while feeding.

It looks a little bit like this only in blue and without the silly bow. Now what shoes to wear with this? Pretty silver or gold flip flops okay if it's for an engagement party? Have strappy sandals but the ankle strap makes my calves look ginormous.

mmmm MONSOON! I must go in there and look around again. Perhaps I can convince DH of the necessity...

My baby has become a bit more mobile - she's rolling to the side and back and has managed to get herself into a really awkward position in her gym. Better go and rescue her. And then I'll also stop being rude and catch up before I post again! See you later.

Fancy flip flops would be great I think.
Color depends on the jewelry you have... I'd go silver and wear lovely silver and opal or shell jewels. But gold/bronze would be lovely too.

Grrrrrrr. DH is getting a bee in his bonnet about giving H a bottle. He has a work friend with a little girl same age, and he gives his daughter a bottle of formula every night. So now DH wants to do the same. I have told him in no uncertain terms that I do not want to do this. He then suggested that he was worried that my milk was not enough for him. There could have been some serious ranting then.

Expressing is such a faff though! I only get an ounce or two at a time.

On the plus side, I mentioned the idea of BLW (not yet, not yet!) and he didn't seem to have a problem with that. Will have to wait until he has talked about it at work and had it knocked by all of his colleagues!
