Hi Bicnod - our babies share the same birth date E is 13 lb and she is just about on the 91st centile for weight and just about on the 98th centile for length, she is very long but not very wide.

Glad it's a bit cooler today - yesterday was a nightmare, never been so hot!

I was driving in the States 10 years before I came over here...I had 2 years to take the test before my US licence was no longer good over here... but I did not want to have a retake the test because of all the horror stories I heard because it's so difficult (supposedly). I dragged and dragged my feet... my 2 years expired and I went and got a provisional licence which meant I could drive, but not on motorways any longer, which was annoying.
finally my youngest sister was coming over and I did not want her to have to get the train to Cardiff and me... so I did it. It's much better having it, but I'm glad I don't have to worry about the test anymore.

Got a sleep bag at the jojo mamen bebe outlet, they didn't have any at Asda.

Bleu - sleeping bags are definitely a good thing. It won't stop her moving about though - never stopped DD1 - but at least she'll stay nice and warm all night. I also think that she'll work out how not to get herself into a pickle if you leave her to it and let her move about as much as she wants / needs to. And I'm with you on the DH thing - mine never hears anything at night.

Hello Bicnod!

Juw, as you know Hazel's leg creases are uneven but her hips are fine. Mention it to HV / GP though if you're worried?

Awwww - thanks for the nice comments about Oscar's pics - you always think your own baby is the most beautiful thing in the world but you can never quite be sure what other people think!

Purplemonkey - 16lb at 9 weeks?! that is VERY impressive... you must have been feeding him magic milk... I know what you mean about getting a complex, all my antenatal group friends have little teeny tiny cute babies, and then there's Oscar. The giant baby. Sat in the corner just being huge.

Hello Suprise - nice to meet the mummy of Oscar's twin I agree - such a relief that the weather has finally broken - it was so nice to have a non-sticky baby to feed in the night last night!

I am very excited. We bought a maclaren quest sport buggy as Oscar is getting a bit big for his pram thing - he looks so cute in it... going for a test drive this afternoon. Oh how my life has changed... can't believe I'm getting excited about a buggy

Afternoon all!

Schulte - I've just posted on your breastfeeding thread.

Yay for big chubby babies!

Does sleeping from 12.30 until 5am count as "sleeping through"? [hopeful emoticon]

Bleuravin - apparently I was a right wiggler when I was a baby. My mum made me a sleeping bag which was tied to either side of the cot so it couldn't move. She also used to put me in it when I had to sleep in a proper bed (e.g. while visiting relatives) and she was worried about me falling out. She just tied it to the bed frame at either side.

I'm thinking of making one for A once I get him sleeping in a cot (he sleeps with me at the moment, but will have to go in his own bed now he's starting to roll on his own).

Bicnod - I get excited about buggy's too. I was given a Mamas and Papas Pramette travel system by a friend who had only used it for a few months so was really pleased about that but then I started looking at buggys and saw one I liked for when E is a bit bigger and then another friend has given me a lovely pink buggy to borrow so I don't need to now but I do love looking at them and one day she will have a new one and by then I will be an expert on them! I am off to google yours now!!

The most sad thing is that I recently got excited over a dustpan and brush with a long handle so I don't have to bend

I have also bored all my friends with talk of E's Fisher Price butterfly garden cradle swing - it is wonderful though and she loves it!

"The giant baby. Sat in the corner just being huge." LOLOL yes that's exactly what it was like!!

I was so hoping for one of those lovely tiny babies. when Isla came out and she told me her weight and it was exactly what DS had been (8.14) i thought, 'well, so much for tiny babies!' but she hasn't been growing quite as fast. (and still in new baby pampers which he grew out of by this time!)

yep, Orbit is the huge baby in the corner too He's not a chubby one, but incredibly loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnngggg - he's wearing 3-6 month vests and they're almost too short for him already.

Feel like I bypassed the tiny newborn stage completely!

Do you gals find you're up and moving from a sleep before you even know it? I fell asleep working on the computer and Meg started crying up in her room and I was on my feet and in her room before I was even really awake...

I am so tired today.

hello!

Just popping in very quickly

Arrived safe and sound - K slept all the way on the plane and through 2 nappy changes not a peep - love him - Ä° however did not and after staying out at Lenny Kravitz until 1am the night before then a 4am start to pack the last few bits and get to London Ä° was in a shocking state by the time Ä° got here but have recovered (just) now! Was worth it though - LK is a musical God and so so soooooooo hot - even without the locks!

DH is in his element with his friends and family - made me realise again how much he gave up to move to England for me - he hasnt stopped smiling since we got here

BTW Auld and MM - apologies for bad grammar sp and apostrophe mistakes - not my fault am on a stupid turkish keyboard and they dont have apostrophes just lots of extra leters (two Ä°s Es Os Ss and Us)

The family love K and are spoiling him rotten (Ä° am going to have a nightmare when Ä° get home!) and he has been lovely not too grizzly just feeding and sleeping a bit more than normal

Also found out DHs sister is pregnant after a year of trying and being told by dr her husband could never have kids - she is 40 days in - so pleased for her!!

Bleu wow for possible pregnancy but at the same time İ scolded myself for being a bit jealous - İ DO NOT want another baby now but for some reason when you said it İ kınd of did!

Sorry while we are on the subject - is anyone else still finding sex a bit difficult? the first few times were ok and Ä° thought the pain would stop and it would start getting back to normal but it hasnt and am a bit anxious about it all now - knowing the beginning bit will hurt and not being able to move around too much! Also Ä° am rubbish at remembering my pill so still on that and condoms!

Bıcnod --ooh how cute are those pics - İ have that jungle gym but K is not too sure about it!

No major news this end - at MÄ°Ls until tomorrow then we drive down to the coast and our own villa which will be nice - Love MÄ°L but the house is in village and cant wait to be able to jump in the pool to cool down or walk to the beach! Also village is very traditional so cant wait to take my clothes off!

Bleu - K now sleeps on pillows face down (yes İ know terrible mother)ın the day and is always face first in the carpet after 5 minutes - he also cannot be left for a second as he is rolling everywhere - almost went off the sofa here last night!!! My point is no matter what you do she will continue to wriggle!!

Schultes no idea on boob sorry

Puzzle glad you are feeling better!

Re lie after pregnancy - we still get on fine and DH i on the whole great but sometımes his laziness drives me cray and İ am fed up of feelıng like an old fat nagging housewife!!

Nutts - come down to me you can holiday there and we can picnic on the beach!

Hey springs and everyone else Ä° have missed off!

Ok that wasnt so quick!

BB LOL it took me some time to work out that it was an I!

Went to play & tumble this morning and there was a 2 week old baby - TINY! Can't believe H was that size, she's sooo massive now. Growing out of her pram, too It's supposed to be for babies up to 8 months old...

Oh and the mother of that 2 week old (and a toddler) was the skinniest yummy mummy I have ever seen. Not a hint of a belly. I thought she was the nanny first, she so didn't look like a mum who had just given birth. Not fair! NOT FAIR!

Glad to hear that Oscar isn't the only giant baby out there

Is anyone else's baby sleeping through? Oscar woke 4 times last night: midnight, 3am, 5am and 6am. I think it was worse than normal because of the hot weather but 3 times is about standard Some of the people in my antenatal group have babies that sleep for 8 hours straight and nap beautifully during the day

Well, the buggy run was excellent you'll be pleased to hear Suprise - I'm in love with my maclaren

Gutted about Andy Murray

Ginger, I started off at 16 stone 7 just after having Felix, and I am now about 14 stone 12. So it is coming off bit by bit, when I bother to eat properly (not fruit cake and freeze pops!) I would really like to be able to buy trousers in normal shops though, and I am a way off that at the moment.

I ordered an organic fruit box, an organic veg box and an organic meat box today, and spent the morning organising them and prepping them so I can eat properly next week. Got friends coming for Sunday lunch and I'm going to roast a couple of organic chickens and serve them with baby Jersey royals with butter and garden mint, chopped bunched carrots, spring greens and spinach with cream and nutmeg. Cranachan for pudding. Does that sound good??

I will put DD's room video up on YouTube tomorrow sometime, once I have worked out how to do it. I will alert you all so you too can enjoy it in its full glory.

Bleu, I would just use a cot bumper tbh, one with very short ties. Felix also wriggles around and gets himself in convoluted positions and the cot bumper really helps him stay away from the bars. I also use a baby gro bag for him, which helps too, as he kicks his legs a lot and I was having to get up every two hours to tuck him in. Nutty, I have only got one gro bag and have to keep washing it every day, so if you have a spare going begging we'd welcome it if Bleu doesn't want all of them.

DH just said "But Nutty's in Bristol, how are you going to get grow bags here?? What do you mean, post them?" We then realised he was thinking of the gardening type!!!

Schulte, I have posted on your thread.

I had to go to the doctor again today - I have a raging ear infection thanks to putting wax ear plugs in there last Saturday night when DD was threatening to bring friends back (remember the baked dripping milk threat thing?) I am also about three-quarters deaf temporarily. I have to have drops and antibiotics now and was up most of last night in pain, but lovely DH has been dosing me with painkillers and looking after me generally. Love that man.
